* BigGood: Definitely the most clear cut example. He's the true brains behind the promotion and the one who has to rein in Dornan's DrillSergeantNasty tendencies.
* RedOniBlueOni: The cool, level-headed, reasonable blue to Dornan's loud, volatile, stubborn red.
* RobotBuddy: He may be everyone's boss, but he's also the kind of boss who can be their friend, too.

* AdaptationalNiceGuy: It's not a lot, but he's more composed than his video game counterpart and capable of PetTheDog moments here and there.
* CaptainSmoothAndSergeantRough: No brownie points for guessing which one he is in relation to TOM.
* DrillSergeantNasty: Contrasting TOM, Dornan runs the roster like a drill sergeant would a platoon of recruits. While this earns him the ire of just about everyone, it's ultimately to keep the roster from becoming too comfortable and getting complacent as a result.
* HairTriggerTemper: He'll fly off the handle if someone so much as drops a pin in his general direction.
* NoIndoorVoice: While it's somewhat subdued compared to his regular counterpart, Dornan is still very prone to yelling.
* RedOniBlueOni: The loud, volatile, stubborn red to TOM's cool, level-headed, reasonable blue.

* HundredPercentAdorationRating: TOM is either adored or in the good graces of just about everyone on the ship, mostly for his BenevolentBoss tendencies. Even some heels don't mind him.

* BenevolentBoss: He's a pretty chill guy who openly communicates with his roster and makes an effort to keep them all happy under his employ.

* DisappointedInYou: He uses this on Mae in the second episode to express his displeasure in her tricking Enid to fight Lady Deathstrike for her. It works, too, as Mae notes that his disappointment is actually ''worse'' than Dornan berating her.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: A major reason why he's preferred over Dornan. TOM will always hear out his employees and meet them halfway. This is particularly demonstrated when he calmly, but sternly reprimands Mae for her actions in the first episode and tells her that she'll have to wrestle in Enid's place, as it was only fair after she made Enid wrestle for her. He then forces Dornan to apologize to Enid for his behavior, as well giving her the rest of the night off as compensation.

* TeamMom: He fits the role of a more understanding, lenient parent to contrast his strict, short-tempered counterpart.

* ZeroPercentApprovalRating: ''Nobody'' on the roster likes Dornan. At best, he's ridiculed; at worst, he's openly despised for his attitude and although some acknowledge why he's such a hard-ass, it doesn't quite excuse how harsh he can be. Even TOM can be exasperated by his behavior sometimes.

* HiddenDepths: Despite his open disdain for Mae Borowski's laziness, Dornan doesn't appear to do anything about it. [[LampshadeHanging TOM even calls him on it]] and gives him the opportunity to fire Mae to her face. He's ultimately unable to go through it, instead enlisting Mae in a wrestling training program, indicating he's frustrated that she's wasting her potential.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: TOM certainly believes he's one, but everyone else sees him as a {{Jerkass}} on a power trip.

* PetTheDog: Knowing Enid is feeling guilty over what the Akatsuki did to KO, Dornan quietly assures her that he's strong and will get better.

* {{Determinator}}: So long as he can move and breath, he'll keep fighting, as Kazuya and Doomfist learned.
* JackOfAllStats: Kazuya, being a professional martial artist, has much more skill and finesse; Doomfist and Darkstar are more powerful; Carter, Mercury, and Blinx are quicker and more agile; and Shepard has dealt with arguably worse opponents than Wash. But he's well-rounded in all categories, making him quite versatile in the ring.

* HyperCompetentSidekick: Downplayed in that Black Hat is by no means unintelligent, but Kakuzu is very capable of taking the initiative without his input. He's also this towards Hidan, in that Kakuzu has to constantly reel him in when he goes in over his head, and is much smarter than his partner to boot.
* OrganTheft: He didn't get to live to be 91 years old and still maintain his youth without taking his fair share of organs, specifically hearts.
