Merged Hyoh's profile into Rain's with appropriate spoilers.

!Hyoh of the Delta/[[spoiler: Gamma]] Delta/[[spoiler:Gamma]] Star
The fourth of the Orders, [[spoiler: later promoted to third]], tasked with guarding the Emperor against the Veritas and Lasswell's party. He is a relatively recent addition, [[spoiler:being in actuality Rain's SecretIdentity in his act to infiltrate addition. See Characters/FinalFantasyBraveExviusMainCharacters for more details.

!Yego of
the Orders]].Gamma Star
Third of the Orders, dispatched to take care of Raegan's group if Zolulu and Delulu fail. A girl raised by Malboros and eventually found and taken in by Distorque, who treats her as little more than a slave. Seeing Cid and Mid interact causes in her curiosity about the concept of family, and makes her interested in being part of one.

* AIBreaker: The first fight against him has a rather severe one. He starts the fight by preemptively buffing himself in several ways (attack, defense, elemental resistance). If you dispel these buffs, he'll spend the next round reapplying them all at the expense of attacks he might otherwise have used. Dedicating a single unit to dispelling him every round (easy enough, as Dispel is available on three Espers and Fingersnap can be obtained through Odin) will cut off most, if not all of his attacks every round, making defeating him a simple matter of attrition. The second fight is hardly better, as his only improvement is an innate physical/magical resistance that only makes him slightly tougher to kill, and he'll throw in the occasional attack that can be easily healed off so long as the dispelling has been regularly reapplied. Lampshaded in the third fight against him; one of the bonus missions for extra lapis is to beat Hyoh without using a dispel of any variety (though those who don't want to bother with said bonus mission will find that this still applies).
* AmbiguousSituation: He's suspected to be Rain in disguise, as both Sol and Lasswell note he fights just like Rain, but Hyoh denies being Rain and [[spoiler:attacks Fina to prove it]]. It's speculated that he may have lost his memory, or may be a vision of Rain, [[spoiler:the latter being somewhat more likely after the real one shows up and makes him explode in a burst of light]]. Whatever the case may be, his past is still unclear. [[spoiler: It turns out that Hyoh ''is'' Rain, and that during that encounter Nagi was wearing Hyoh's armour at his request.]]
* AnimalMotifs: The name "Hyoh" translates to "Leopard" and he wears a helm in the shape of a snarling cat's mouth.
* TheBattleDidntCount: Hyoh pulls this off against Raegen. This can come off as rather JustForFun/{{egregious}} if you took advantage of the AIBreaker above. At least in this case, it's justified as Raegen successfully wounding him, but Hyoh managing to score a deeper wound in the process, rather than just suddenly powering up as Galas did the first time.
* BlowYouAway: Uses wind magic in a fight. [[spoiler: Subverted, as that Hyoh was actually Nagi in disguise.]]
* DespairEventHorizon: [[spoiler: In Paladia, Rain was taken in by a small town and tried to protect it, only for it to get completely wiped out by a massive conflict due to royal blood he didn't even know he had. The moment thoroughly breaks his psyche, leading him to join the Stars as Hyoh to become strong enough to kill the Emperor.]]
* DishingOutDirt: Has access to earth magic.
* DramaticUnmask: Subverted. While his helm goes flying during a fight scene, he's quick to cover his face and teleports away before his identity can be revealed.
* FallenHero: [[spoiler:He is what happens when Rain, the optimistic protagonist of Season 1, has his mentality broken to the very core.]]
* FalseFlagOperation: [[spoiler:He gets Nagi to wear his armor to throw the party off the trail of his true identity.]]
** In the event "The Color of Heartlessness" he [[spoiler: pretends to kill Domino and Shatal to let them escape with intelligence on Yuraisha's whereabouts]].
* {{Foreshadowing}}: [[spoiler: His Limit Burst is called "Extreme Nova" which is similar to Rain's 6-star awakened Limit Burst, "Shining Nova".]]
* KickTheDog:
** [[spoiler:He attacks Fina in Paladia to try to prove he is not Rain when in disguise.]]
** [[spoiler:He also asks Nagi to wear his armor, then attacks and severely wounds her as part of a FalseFlagOperation.]]
* LaserBlade: Wields an energy sword, which happens to be ''Brave Exvius'''s version of the Ultima Weapon.
* PlayingWithFire: His main element, with his Extreme Nova turning his Ultima Weapon into a firestorm.
* PunnyName: The name "Hyoh" can be translated either as "leopard", referring to his leopard mask, or as "hail", which is fitting since he is [[spoiler: Rain trying to act as a villain; in essence, a colder Rain.]]
* ShockAndAwe: Has some Lightning attacks in his repertoire.
* TheStoic: Shows very little emotion at any time. [[spoiler:This is a front for Rain's now extremely conflicted psyche.]]
* VillainRespect: Hyoh knows of the Sworn Six from Aldore's history books, and he's earnestly congratulatory towards his foes for the effort they put forth against him. [[spoiler:Again a front, as Rain knows every member of the Sworn Eight sans Gilgamesh personally.]]
* WalkingSpoiler: His true identity is central to Season 2's plot.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: [[spoiler:As Hyoh, his goal is to take over Aldore from Emperor Quadis. To do this, he needs to get in the Emperor's good graces by acting as "despicably" as possible.]]

Moving Physalis' entry to the main character page. I'm surprised as to why it wasn't done back when she joined in late Season 2, and now she's one of the main characters in Season 3.

!Physalis of the Pi Star
The 16th of the Orders. A recent addition to the Orders. A GenkiGirl and ThePollyanna despite her horrible childhood [[spoiler:marked by constant racism against her from both Aldorans and Hess thanks to her mixed blood]]. Has a Moogle companion named Moog, who is Physalis' [[TrueCompanions "soul mate"]] and, until she meets Lasswell's party, the only friend she ever had.

!Physalis !Galas of the Pi Omicron Star
The 16th fifteenth of the Orders. A recent addition to Orders, and the Orders. first that the party encounters. A GenkiGirl and ThePollyanna despite her horrible childhood [[spoiler:marked by constant racism against her from both Aldorans and Hess thanks to her mixed blood]]. Has a Moogle companion named Moog, hedonistic man who is Physalis' [[TrueCompanions "soul mate"]] and, until she meets Lasswell's party, the only friend she ever had.cares about climbing positions in the Orders so he can live more comfortably. His strength serves as a wake-up call for Lasswell that the opponents he's about to face are above the tier he fought in Lapis.

* AnIcePerson: Uses ice magic in battle.
* ApocalypseMaiden: [[spoiler: She is the key to awakening the Omega Weapon.]]
* BigEater: Called out on being one by Moog, much to her embarrassment.
* BlowYouAway: Her Esper Unit, Four Winds Physalis, shifts her element to Wind (and [[MakingASplash Water]]) and bonds her to Tetra Sylphid, making her a very strong mage.
* BoisterousBruiser: A fun weird girl [[spoiler: powerful enough to take out the Alpha Star in a single blow.]]
* CastingAShadow: Uses dark magic in battle.
* TheChick: The [[spoiler: seemingly]] weakest of the Stars and the most optimistic of them.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: Joined the Orders yet seems to know nothing about what they stand for or their methods and seemingly [[WildChild never took a shower]] before joining their ranks. When she meets the heroes, she is more interested in learning about them than fighting them.
* CloudcuckoolandersMinder: Moog acts as one to Physalis, though he is often neutral on what she decides to do.
* CurbStompBattle:
** Is shown to have taken Gudon, the fourteenth Star, out in a single punch in her Story Event. This attracted the Emperor's attention and led him to send Juraga to recruit her.
** Later defeats [[spoiler: the Alpha Star]] in a single punch.
* CuteBruiser: A cute young woman who nevertheless [[spoiler: packs quite the punch.]]
* DarkAndTroubledPast: [[spoiler:From a young age she was alienated from the other kids who she just wanted to play with, having been told she is a weirdo and their own parents warning them to stay away from her. She never gives up trying to be nice to them, but is shown to be harboring deep and confused sadness at why she must be alone leading to her deep fear of isolation. It lasted like this until she met Moog who remained with her and could even be inferred that Lasswell is the first man who is truly nice to her.]]
* DarkIsNotEvil: Despite using dark magic, she is one of the friendliest if not ''the'' friendliest of the Stars.
* {{Determinator}}: [[spoiler: Despite being fused with the Omega Weapon, which should have removed her consciousness from said weapon, she manages to prevent it from destroying the world through sheer force of will.]]
* DumbBlonde: A blonde {{Cloudcuckoolander}}.
* FriendlyEnemies: with Lasswell. In fact, they're so chummy that they only qualify as enemies because they're on opposing sides: she looks up to him, he treats her with respect, and they fight almost entirely as contests of skill.
* GameplayAndStorySegregation: While in the story Physalis is shown to be even more powerful using her fists, her in-game unit can't even equip them.
* GuysSmashGirlsShoot: She wields a pistol and a rifle. [[spoiler:Subverted later, when she is shown to be even stronger when smashing and defeats Levnato in a single punch.]]
* HalfBreedDiscrimination:[[spoiler: Has mixed blood, her parents coming from both Aldore and Hess. The blend is the source of her incredible strength, not to mention her status as ApocalypseMaiden, and why everyone from her hometown shunned her.]]
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler:Joins the heroes in Chapter 7 of Season 2 when she realizes the Aldoran Empire is evil.]]
* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: Was completely ignorant of the despotic nature of the Emperor until it is blatantly pointed out to her.
* InterspeciesRomance: Moog refers to Physalis as his [[OneTrueLove soulmate]], though seeing as Physalis is [[{{Cloudcuckoolander}} so odd]] it's unclear as to whether she understands the significance of this or not. However, based on how Moog is apparently a ShipperOnDeck for Lasswell/Physalis, it's probably closer to declaring her his [[TrueCompanions True Companion]].
* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: In Magistellus part 3, she discusses the fun and thrill of random summons and even calls the act of summoning "a pull," much like the player base does. However, she does so in the context of a summon crystal that she found in the Aldorean armory. [[spoiler: When it reveals that the summon is of Zolulu and Delulu, she starts complaining about it like she just got a JunkRare InUniverse.]]
* LoyalAnimalCompanion: Has one in the form of a moogle.
* MakingASplash: Four Winds Physalis can use Water attacks with Tetra Sylphid's help.
* ObliviousToLove: Even when it's pointed out to her that she's becoming enamored with Lasswell, she's totally oblivious as to what that even means.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Physalis may not have the best head over her shoulders, but when this cheery girl [[spoiler:gets ''legit pissed'' about Lasswell basically giving up on Rain at the end of the Rubiena arc]], you know this is real shit going on. In fact, any time she goes ''dead serious'' is a sign something went seriously wrong.
* NiceGirl: She's uncompromisingly sweet to everyone she meets, she had no idea about Lid's situation with Jake when she and Fina were talking about it, but immediately offered her encouragement.
* NonIndicativeName: Her rank has [[spoiler:nothing to do with her power level, unlike the other Stars. She is only 16th because she joined recently.]] Lasswell comments she is at least as strong as Akstar when they fight.
* ScaryShinyGlasses: Downplayed, in that she's always a [[CloudCuckooLander cheery goof]], but she wears sinister night vision goggles with three green, glowing lenses when she's working as an antagonist. [[spoiler: Her HeelFaceTurn is cemented by her removing them.]]
* ShipTease: With Lasswell. Lid and Fina are quite [[ShipperOnDeck happy to tease Lasswell on it]] while Physalis herself is oblivious to most of it, not even knowing what a "date" is. They also have moments to themselves on how much they like one another. Moog also treats the two [[ShipperOnDeck as already in a relationship]].
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Both her and her moogle companion - originally named Faisalith and Guri (short for ''moguri'', the name for moogles in Japan), but now named Physalis and Moog (more obviously a shortened version of their English name).
* SuperStrength: [[spoiler: Defeats an armoured Levnato in a single punch.]]
* TokenGoodTeammate: Of the Orders. She is only part of the Orders due to wanting to become the next Emperor and is adamant about preventing death, healing the wounded, and practicing chivalrous conduct. [[spoiler: She eventually joins the heroes after refusing to allow Levnato to kill Lasswell, which to her knowledge would have killed off the Hess royal bloodline.]]
* TrailersAlwaysSpoil: Her appearance and combat style were both shown in promotional material at the 2nd FFBE Fan Festa a month before she appeared in the story proper.
* UnskilledButStrong: As shown in Physalis' story event, she is powerful, apparently as strong as Akstar by Lasswell's estimation, but has been given no training, simply using her basic power to get through life. [[spoiler: Lasswell later surpasses her in power, perhaps due to his training.]]
* YinYangBomb: [[spoiler: Descends from both Aldoran and Hess bloodlines, which grants her her SuperStrength.]]

!Galas of the Omicron Star

!Zeno of the Beta Star
Second of the Orders. A man whose entire life is a complete mystery, and a close position to the Emperor, second only to Levnato, the Alpha Star. Many can only speculate his intentions, some even saying that he's in this only so that he can kill the Emperor himself. See [[spoiler: Akstar]] for more tropes that apply to him.

The 16 modern day protectors of Aldore, and the main villains of Season 2.

!Tropes Common To All Of Them
----
* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: Their ranks are determined by their ability, with the 1st becoming the new emperor if the current one dies or retires.
* KlingonPromotion: Encouraged among the Stars to rank up.
* SuperiorSuccessor: The Orders are able to fight and defeat the Veritas, their predecessors, with nary a casualty among them. Later subverted when [[spoiler: several of them fail against the Veritas.]]
* ThemeNaming: Their titles all use a Greek letter followed by "Star," with the letter's place in the Greek alphabet corresponding with their rank in the Orders.
* YouKillItYouBoughtIt: The Orders are allowed to engage each other at any time to gain rank.

![[spoiler:Krowa of the Pi Star]]
A young mage that enters the Order of Aldore with his companion, Regina, in order to join their ranks. He teams up with Lasswell's group in order to make progress. [[spoiler: He was once the Pi Star, but defected when he met Regina and only joined the tournament to find a way to keep her permanently active.]]
----
* CastFromHitPoints: In order to keep Regina operational, he regularly expends his own life force to recharge her internal batteries. In a bit of GameplayAndStoryIntegration, his most powerful buffing abilities cause him damage as well as lower his own stats.
* DefectorFromDecadence: Krowa was [[spoiler: originally ''in'' the Orders, as the Pi Star (Physalis' current position). He left due to opposing Aldore's doings. He's only attempting to rejoin them]] in order to find a power source capable of sustaining Regina permanently.
* DrivenToSuicide: As revealed in his backstory, Krowa was so torn apart by what the Orders did in the name of the emperor that he strongly considered killing himself. Finding Regina and hearing stories from her made him decide to become a DefectorFromDecadence instead.
* IDidWhatIHadToDo: Krowa's stance on [[spoiler: attempting to rejoin the Orders.]] He doesn't ''want'' to, but he feels that he must in order to get the power to ensure that Regina can continue to operate. He does hope that he'll also be able to use her power to institute genuine reforms rather than just be the Emperor's puppet. [[spoiler: He's more than willing to step aside for Lasswell, as he believes Lasswell can make meaningful change that could help both him and Regina.]]
* WeakButSkilled: Krowa isn't particularly powerful at all, but he's very knowledgeable about a variety of topics, including magic itself. It also helps that [[TheKidWithTheLeash he's in control of]] [[PersonOfMassDestruction Regina]].

!Physalis of the Pi Star
The 16th of the Orders. A recent addition to the Orders. Has a moogle companion named Moog.
----
* AnIcePerson: Uses ice magic in battle.
* ApocalypseMaiden: [[spoiler: She is the key to awakening the Omega Weapon.]]
* BigEater: Called out on being one by Moog, much to her embarrassment.
* CurbStompBattle:
It lasted like this until she met Moog who remained with her and could even be inferred that Lasswell is the first man who is truely nice to her.]]
* DumbBlonde: A blonde {{Cloudcuckoolander}}.
* GuysSmashGirlsShoot: She wields a pistol and a rifle. [[spoiler: Subverted later, when she is shown to be even stronger when smashing and defeats Levnato in a single punch.]]
* HalfBreedDiscrimination:[[spoiler: Has mixed blood, her parents coming from both Aldore and Hess. The blend is the source of her incredible strength, and why everyone from her hometown shunned her.]]
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler: Joins the heroes in Chapter 9 of season 2.]]
* ObliviousToLove: Even when it's pointed out to her that she's becoming enamored with Lasswell, she's totally oblivious as to what that even means.
* NiceGirl: She's uncompromisingly sweet to everyone she meets, she had no idea about Lid's situation with Jake when she and Fina were talking about it, but immediately offered her encouragement.
* NonIndicativeName: Her rank has [[spoiler: nothing to do with her power level, unlike the other Stars. She is only 16th because she joined recently.]] Lasswell comments she is at least as strong as Akstar when they fight.
* ShipTease: With Lasswell. Lid and Fina are quite [[ShipperOnDeck happy to tease Lasswell on it]] while Physalis herself is oblivious to most of it, not even knowing what a "date" is. They also have moments to themselves on how much they like one another.

The 15th of the Orders, and the first that the party encounters.
----
* TheBattleDidntCount: Even though he is beaten in his first encounter, he survives without a scratch.
* {{BFS}}: He wields a sword almost as large as he is.
* DishingOutDirt: His primary element.
* GameplayAndStorySegregation: His introduction invokes TheBattleDidntCount and he's discussed as being well beyond what anything Lasswell and company have seen in the world of Lapis. He's a recruitable vision in all versions, and he's rather mediocre - only capable of reaching a five-star awakening, and he's statwise inferior in nearly every way (Galas has a marginally better defense) to a maxed-out season 1 Lasswell (let alone what his season 2 form is capable of).
* TheHedonist: He admits that he isn't interested in becoming a ruler - he only wants to rise in the Orders because he loves money, power, and women, and he'd have even more access to these if he rose in rank.
* PetTheDog: In his description as a unit, literally - he regularly feeds and cares for strays, in part due to kindness and in part to have a "quirk." Worth noting that he does ''not'' use them for battle.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: Once Akstar appears and nearly defeats him with a single attack, Galas retreats.

!Gudon of the Xi Star
The 14th of the Orders, who sets up a trap for Lasswell and friends after their encounters with Galas.
----
* AristocratsAreEvil: He comes from a noble family.
* EpicFlail: Gudon's main attack is an iron ball that his chair flails via an arc of electricity. Its first use knocks down the main party in one shot.
* ItsAllAboutMe: PlayedForLaughs. He declares that Physalis' story event is all about him, only for Physalis herself to come in and punch him offscreen, [[LeaningOnTheFourthWall declaring herself the protagonist.]]
* MakingASplash: His primary element.
* SuperWheelchair: It hovers, it has protective shielding, and it has an [[ShockAndAwe electric]] [[EpicFlail flail]] on it. It's an impressive armament and practical conveyance all in one.

!Juaraga of the Nu Star
13th of the Orders, a Natura beastkind.
----
* BladeOnAStick: He wields a double-bladed pike.
* IWorkAlone: By his own admission, he prefers to take on his missions completely independent of anyone else from Aldore, including the other Orders.
* NobleDemon: He's dedicated, honorable, and respectful. About the only negative thing shown about him is that he's one of the Orders.
* TrailersAlwaysSpoil: His image was spoiled by promotional artwork at the 2nd FFBE Fan Festa, leaking his appearance a month early.
* VillainousRescue: [[spoiler: He gives Lid juice from a special fruit so that she can come back from the HeroicSacrifice needed to obtain the Tear of Provenance.]]
* WorthyOpponent: He goes three rounds against Lid and Kunshira when the two try to get the Tear of Provenance, and with each successive round, he grows more and more respectful of Lid, culminating in [[spoiler: using a special fruit to revive her so that she can obtain the Tear of Provenance without performing a HeroicSacrifice]].

!Delulu of the Mu Star
The 12th of the Orders, who sets up a trap for Lasswell and friends after their encounters with Galas.
----
* ArcherArchetype: He wields a crossbow, and he at least attempts to come off as a ColdSniper (though [[TheDitz his intelligence]] eventually "shines" through).
* TheDitz: When he and Zolulu fight together, he combines their ranks to 22. As Raegan points out, not only is he one number off (it's 23), but this would indicate that they're actually weaker together according to the ranking system.
* DualBoss: He and Zolulu fight as a pair.
* EatenAlive: He's eaten by Yego's Malboro for failing to kill Raegan's group.
* ThoseTwoBadGuys: Along with his partner Zolulu, he spends most of his appearances acting like a bit of a dunce and providing exposition so that Raegen (and by extension, the player) get an idea of what's going on.
* VillainsOutShopping: The unit description for the summonable version of Zolulu and Delulu goes mostly into description of how the two are in their daily lives, down to the fact that the two live together and how they divide their chores.

!Zolulu of the Lambda Star
The 11th of the Orders, who sets up a trap for Lasswell and friends after their encounters with Galas.
----
* CombatPragmatist: He forces Raegan's group to waste their strength fighting weak enemies so they'll be exhausted once the real battle starts. It doesn't help.
* TheDitz: Delulu is more obviously one, but several of his lines (particularly when enhancing or awakening him) show that Zolulu isn't any smarter.
* DualBoss: He and Delulu fight as a pair.
* DudeLooksLikeALady: Was presumed to be a woman (and even called female in game) but full body promotional artwork shows that he's male.
* EatenAlive: He's eaten by Yego's Malboro for failing to kill Raegan's group.
* HostageForMacGuffin: He holds the remaining Children of Hess hostage to get the Mother of Hess to hand herself over. When the Mother arrives, it turns out he's already killed them.
* InstrumentOfMurder: It's pretty hard to tell from his character model, but that weird sword-like weapon he's carrying is actually some variety of stringed instrument. Based on the attack animations of the summonable version, it can be used both as a spear (the only stab is with the tapered part at the end) and an instrument.
* ThoseTwoBadGuys: Along with his partner Delulu, he spends most of his appearances acting like a bit of a dunce and providing exposition so that Raegen (and by extension, the player) get an idea of what's going on.
* VillainsOutShopping: The unit description for the summonable version of Zolulu and Delulu goes mostly into description of how the two are in their daily lives, down to the fact that the two live together and how they divide their chores.

!Nazuu of the Kappa Star
The 10th of the Orders. [[spoiler:Disguised as the Shibyran Kong, he causes the beastkind tribes to go to war with each other.]]
----
* AnAxeToGrind: Wields 2 axes for his weapons.
* BeastMan: Or rather, beastkind.
* GreenEyedMonster: Is highly jealous of Hyoh and antagonizes him when possible.
* PlayingWithFire: His element of choice.
* SinisterMinister: His cover for most of his appearances is that of [[spoiler: the advisor for the king of the Shibyra.]]
* WarForFunAndProfit: This is his main mission, so that the Orders can get new resources and technology.

!Nagi of the Iota Star
The 9th of the Orders. Sent by the emperor to dispose of Laswell's group in Crystalis.
----
* BlowYouAway: Uses wind magic in battle.
* BrotherSisterIncest: Implied with the revelation that [[spoiler: she attached to Hyoh because her late brother was also named Hyoh and she took it as a sign of fate. Unfortunately, due to her many {{Yandere}} moments towards Hyoh, this just came off as her having had a crush on her brother.]]
* CuteBruiser: She's even noted to be thin and frail in her bestiary description, but she's rather powerful - as of the boss battle against her, only the rematch against Hyoh is a stronger opponent.
* GoodOldFisticuffs: Her primary weapon type (and the below unlikely weapon, when obtainable in-game, counts as a type of knuckle for equipping purposes).
* ImprobableWeaponUser: She's fighting with extremely long bolts of cloth, one attached to each wrist and one attached to her helm. She's more or less using ''weaponized sleeves''.
* MurderTheHypotenuse: She doesn't like how Hyoh seems singularly focused on Lasswell, so she goes out of her way to take him out.
* ReplacementGoldfish: The reason that she's so attached to Hyoh is because her brother, who died trying to protect her during the Orders of Aldore tournament, is also named Hyoh. [[spoiler: Sieghard, [[NotSoDifferent who also knows what it's like to miss deceased siblings]], offers to become a new one for her... and despite herself, Nagi starts to look at him like one.]]
* VillainousCrush: She has a thing for Hyoh, and will do anything to impress him.
* {{Yandere}}: For Hyoh. Her response to Lasswell gaining his attention is to ''kill'' Lasswell to receive praise.

!Mid of the Theta Star
The 8th of the Orders, tasked with protecting the generators at the Heznudo River. [[spoiler:She is actually the daughter of Cid, one of the previous protectors.]]
----
* AnimalMotifs: Wears scales and dragon wings. As she is a dragoon, this is perfectly fitting.
* BladeOnAStick: Is the dragoon of the orders, so she has a dual lance for her weapon. [[spoiler:Runs in the family.]]
* ChainmailBikini: Wears an armoured bikini.
* EatenAlive: [[spoiler:When Mid becomes the reason Cid refuses to be Yego's adoptive father, [[MurderTheHypotenuse Yego commands her Marlboro pet to eat Mid.]] She gets better though because her familial bond with Cid intrigues Yego enough to not kill her.]]
* HeelFaceTurn: She [[spoiler: breaks the Sworn Six out of prison]] and later joins forces with the Sworn Six.
* MythologyGag: Not the first time that [[spoiler:Cid [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyV had a child named Mid]]. ]]
* Really700YearsOld: [[spoiler:Became immortal so that she could see her father return to her.]]
* ShockAndAwe: Her main element.

!Shamlin of the Eta Star
7th of the Orders. Distorque's student.
----
* AmbiguousGender: Similar to Yego, it's currently unclear whether Shamlin is a man or a woman.
* BrokenBird: Heavily implied, as [[spoiler: he is all smiles even after being kicked repeatedly by his mentor.]]
* DissonantSerenity: Is always happy or amused faced with horror and abuse.
* TheDogBitesBack: [[spoiler: Kills Distorque after receiving a particularly brutal beatdown from him.]]
* {{Guyliner}}: Wears heavy eye makeup in promotional art.
* HolyHandGrenade: Literally multicasts the spell Holy.
* KnifeNut: [[spoiler: Carries a hidden knife he uses to kill Distorque.]]
* HeelFaceTurn: Very late in season 2, [[spoiler: Sieghard]] offers one to him. [[spoiler: Against all sense and odds, by Sieghard showing what's BeneathTheMask as well as calling Shamlin "cute," Shamlin agrees.]]
* IconicOutfit: While he takes a much darker tone with it, his robe still has the red triangles on white trim that ''Final Fantasy'' white mages traditionally wear.
* IGaveMyWord: Shamlin takes promises very seriously, and [[spoiler: kills Distorque]] for failing to keep one.
* LightIsNotGood: Shamlin is an expert in Holy and healing magic, allowing him to rain Holy barrages on the heroes.
* NobleDemon: [[spoiler: Spares Hess rebels when they refuse to give up their beliefs even if it might save their lives.]]
* ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill: [[spoiler: Stabs Distorque once, then goes crazy on the corpse, stabbing it over and over.]]
* StepfordSmiler: Is ''always'' cheery, especially at inappropriate times.
* TheUnfought: [[spoiler: After he kills Distorque, the Veritas prepare to fight him but he refuses to engage them in battle, claiming he's in too good of a mood before leaving with a whistle. He is later fought by Lasswell.]]
* WhiteMage: Shamlin is a white mage (specializing in healing), leading the Veritas to question how exactly he'll engage them in battle. He proceeds to multicast Holy, shutting them up.

!Distorque of the Zeta Star
Sixth of the Orders.
----
* AbusiveParent: Of the adopted variety - he was the one who raised Yego, and it quickly becomes apparent that his "parenting" technique mostly involves kicking and verbally abusing his charge until he gets his way. He's repeating the technique with Shamlin.
* AmazingTechnicolorPopulation: Has blue skin. Whether it's natural or body paint is unclear.
* DidntSeeThatComing: [[spoiler: Reacts in total shock when Shamlin backstabs him.]]
* TheDreaded: [[spoiler: Yego]] is terrified of him [[spoiler: despite his lower rank]].
* EvilMentor: Mentors both Yego and Shamlin.
* ExtremityExtremist: He wears boots with thrusters that increase his kicking power.
* GladIThoughtOfIt: He kicks Shamlin for making suggestions out of turn, only to immediately make the same order himself.
* JerkAss: An AbusiveParent whose temper flares at his charges for the smallest reasons.

!Demoldoa of the Epsilon Star
Fifth of the Orders. He joins the tournament for a chance to become Alpha Star.
----
* BloodKnight: Is obsessed with battle and tries to kill many tournament participants despite this being unnecessary.
* DropTheHammer: He wields a massive hammer.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: He grants Lasswell's group a special pass to advance in the tournament preliminaries because he wanted to defeat them in the tournament proper. Then he's forced to fight them in the final preliminary round and is soundly beaten by Lasswell.
* KickTheDog: He kills Pris and Atole at the bridge leading to the tournament grounds just because he could, not even giving them a chance to compete. He also tries to kill Jake when Jake is unconscious.
* ScrewTheRulesIMakeThem: As a member of the Orders, he uses his authority to grant Lasswell's admission into the next round of tournament preliminaries even though they had only eliminated four out of the five necessary opponents to qualify. He does so because he feels that having such a strong group fail on a technicality would be a waste of potential. He wants them to die in the arena so Paladia will know the power of the Orders.
* TinTyrant: He's clad in very imposing armor and lacks any empathy.
* TheWorfEffect: Inverted in that he's typically suffering this to show how powerful the ''heroes'' have gotten, but he has a bad habit of getting stomped when he makes an appearance. [[spoiler: In particular, in flashback, it's revealed that he used to be the Delta Star, but he got demoted when Rain took him out on an assault on the Emperor. And while he talks about eagerly awaiting the chance to rise back to Delta Star, he notably knows better than to challenge Hyoh for the rank.]]

![[spoiler: Nichol]] of the Epsilon Star
See [[spoiler: Heroes]].

![[spoiler: Sakura]] of the Delta Star
See [[spoiler: Heroes]].

!Hyoh of the Delta/[[spoiler: Gamma]] Star
The 4th of the Orders, [[spoiler: later promoted to third]], tasked with guarding the Emperor again the Veritas. Mid notes he is a relatively recent addition. [[spoiler: Is Rain's SecretIdentity he used to infiltrate the Orders.]]
----
* AIBreaker: The first fight against him has a rather severe one.
* TheBattleDidntCount: Hyoh pulls this off against Raegen... this can come off as rather JustForFun/{{egregious}} if you took advantage of the AIBreaker above. At least in this case, it's justified as Raegan successfully wounding him, but Hyoh managing to score a deeper wound in the process, rather than just suddenly powering up as Galas did the first time.
* BlowYouAway: Uses wind magic in a fight. [[spoiler: Subverted, as that Hyoh was actually Nagi in disguise.]]
* DespairEventHorizon: [[spoiler: In Paladia, Rain was taken in by a village and tried to protect it, only for the village to get completely wiped out by assassins seeking to kill him due to royal blood he didn't even know he had.
* FallenHero: [[spoiler: Is Rain.]]
* FalseFlagOperation: [[spoiler: Gets Nagi to wear his armour to throw the party off the trail of his true identity.]]
** In the event The Color of Heartlessness he [[spoiler: pretends to kill Domino and Shatal to let them escape with intelligence on Yuraisha's whereabouts.]]
* {{Foreshadowing}}: [[spoiler: His Limit Burst is called "Extreme Nova" which is similar to Rain's 6-star awakened Limit Burst, "Shining Nova"]]
* KickTheDog:
** [[spoiler: Attacks Fina in Paladia to try to prove he is not Rain when in disguise.]]
** [[spoiler: Also tells Nagi to wear his armour then attacks and severely wounds her]] as part of a FalseFlagOperation.
* LaserBlade: Wields an energy sword.
* PlayingWithFire: Can use fire magic.
* PunnyName: The name "Hyoh" can be translated either as "leopard", referring to his leopard mask, or as "hail", which is fitting since he is [[spoiler: Rain trying to act as a villain; in essence, a colder Rain.]]
* ShockAndAwe: Has access to lightning magic.
* TheStoic: Shows very little emotion at any time. [[spoiler: This is a front.]]
* VillainRespect: Hyoh knows of the Sworn Six from Aldore's history books, and he's earnestly congratulatory towards his foes for the effort they put forth against him.
* WalkingSpoiler: [[spoiler: Is Rain.]]
* WellIntentionedExtremist: [[spoiler: As Hyoh, his goal is to take over Aldore from the evil Emperor. To do this, he needs to get in the Emperor's good graces by acting as despicably as possible.]]

!Yego of the Gamma Star
Third of the Orders, dispatched to take care of Raegan's group if Zolulu and Delulu fail.
----
* AmbiguousGender: In part due to translation issues and in part due to an androgynous sprite, Yego is frequently referred to as male and female interchangeably, though she is meant to be female.
* TheBattleDidntCount: No matter how easily you win the battle against her, Raegan's party still has trouble and can only manage to hold her off. This is justified as the party being exhausted from fighting Zolulu and Delulu in addition to all the monsters they had to slay.
* TheBeastmaster: She rides a Malboro into battle and even commands it to attack for her. It's so important to her that, as an enemy, she counts as both Human and Plantoid in terms of what can affect her for extra damage.
* BlowYouAway: Has several wind-element attacks.
* CoolShades: Sports a pair.
* CuriosityCausesConversion: As she was [[RaisedByWolves raised by Malboros]], and then later by [[AbusiveParents Destorque]], she doesn't understand familial bonds between humans at all. Seeing [[spoiler: Mid being willing to betray the Orders for love of her father]] intrigued Yego enough to [[spoiler: join Mid, once it was revealed that Yego didn't kill Mid after all]].
* DishingOutDirt: Has several earth-element spells and attacks, and she can also lower an opponent's resistance to the element as well.
* TheDreaded: Mid is terrified of her, and for good reason. Her Malboro eats Zolulu and Delulu for failure.
* GoodFeelsGood: [[spoiler: Spending more and more time with Cid and Mid and bonding with the two as family makes Yego feel better, even if [[WhatIsThisThingYouCallLove she's confused about it and can't describe it well]].]]
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler: Joins the Sworn Six.]]
* MoreThanMindControl: Her mentor Distorque [[spoiler: conditioned her to be unable to resist certain commands.]] She is later able to break this due to ThePowerOfLove.
* MurderTheHypotenuse: When Cid refuses to become her adoptive parent due to already having a daughter, Yego has her malboro eat Mid. Subverted as [[spoiler: she only had the malboro stick Mid in its mouth and it spits her back out.]]
* ParrotPetPosition: A small Malboro rides on her shoulder.
* RaisedByWolves: She was raised in the jungle by Malboros before being recruited by one of the Stars.
* [[ScaryBlackMan Scary Black Woman]]: An evil StatuesqueStunner riding a giant Malboro.
* StandardStatusAilments: She can use her Malboro to inflict several random ailments to the player's party. Later, the recruitable version of her has multiple methods of doing the same.
* WhipItGood: She wields a whip to fend off aerial attackers.
* WhyAmITicking: [[spoiler: Has a bomb implanted inside her by her AbusiveParent Distorque, who threatens to blow her up if she does not return to Aldore with him for reeducation.]]
* YouHaveFailedMe: Her response to Zolulu and Delulu's consistent failure to bring down Raegen and his crew is to have her malboro eat them alive.

!Zeno of the Beta Star
Second of the Orders. See [[spoiler: Akstar]] for more tropes that apply to him.
----
* AmbidextrousSprite: He stands out for this because he's in a game that's generally good about representing FashionableAsymmetry. The lines on the left side of his armor are supposed to glow red [[spoiler: as they're meant to be {{Magitek}} augments for Akstar's missing limbs]], but generally, the side facing the camera will be shown as glowing red outside of his boss battle sprite.
* DualWielding: Wields [[KatanasAreJustBetter two katanas.]]
* FallenHero: [[spoiler: If Akstar's tale about his backstory is true, he once tried to kill the Emperor with his friends, only for them to all die and him to be rendered a HandicappedBadass.]]
* TheGhost: While the emperor of Paladia has mentioned them by name and noted that they're more powerful than even Hyoh, they've yet to appear as of the third part of Crystallis. [[spoiler: Subverted, as he has been around the party for quite some time.]]
* HandicappedBadass: [[spoiler: Seeing as he's Akstar.]]
* TheMole: [[spoiler: Is Akstar's true identity.]]
* PoweredArmor: Wears a set that [[spoiler: makes up for his injuries by giving him a mechanical arm and leg.]]
* RedEyesTakeWarning: His helm has a pair of red lenses on them, giving Zeno this effect at all times. Similar to the rest of his PoweredArmor, it's suggested that [[spoiler: these compensate for the injury to his eye.]]

!Levnato of the Alpha Star
First of the Orders.
----
* DidntSeeThatComing: [[spoiler: Is completely blindsided by Physalis' ability to defeat him in one punch and is forced to retreat.]]
* DishingOutDirt: Can use earth magic in battle.
* TheDragon: The Emperor's second hand man and his replacement should the Emperor die.
* TheGhost: While the emperor of Paladia has mentioned them by name and noted that they're more powerful than even Hyoh, they've yet to appear as of the third part of Crystallis.
* TheManBehindTheMan: [[spoiler: Is secretly Vlad, the first Emperor, controlling the current Emperor of Aldore.]]
* PlayingWithFire: Uses fire magic.

!Absolute, True, and Obliterating Stars, the Exostars
A trio of women known as Paradiso, Purgatorio, and Inferno who serve the Emperor.
----
* AndIMustScream: [[spoiler: The three women are created by torturing Kagane's soul, and can be remade as the Emperor chooses.]]
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: They are completely loyal to the Emperor and have forgotten their true selves through [[spoiler: centuries of torture. Begin to remember who they are after Ignacio pleads with them.]]
* EldritchAbomination: Their true forms, spliced together in a lab.
* MysteriousPast: Seem to have the same soul wavelength as Kagane, Ignacio's childhood friend thought to be dead. [[spoiler: All the women are generated through the torture and replication of Kagane's soul.]]
* OneWingedAngel: They can all transform into Eldritch beings at will.
* ReforgedIntoAMinion: They were initially [[spoiler: Kagane, who died protecting Emperor Vlad. On his orders, her soul was kept in storage and the current Emperor decided to put it to use.]]
* TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers: With their title at the very least, they are the only ones to not be named after a Greek leter, and also the only ones that share their title.
* ThemeNaming: They each are named after a different version of the upgraded Mirror of Equity move (Absolute and Obliterating versions known by Lasswell, True version known by Akstar [[spoiler:and, by extension, Zeno]]).

!The Emperor of Aldore
[[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin The current Emperor of Aldore.]] Little is known about him, as he usually keeps his face in shadow and surrounds himself with the Orders as his guards.
----
* ArtificialHuman: [[spoiler:Was created by Vlad to be his puppet ruler.]]
* CastingAShadow: He will throw around dark-element damage, which also includes [[PoisonousPerson poison]] damage as well.
* DeadpanSnarker: Has a degree of snark when facing Raegen and co.
* EvilRedhead: Has fire red hair and is responsible for most of the ills Paladia currently faces, such as the prison camps littered over the continent and the earth drying up due to shaving the crystals themselves to keep a barrier around Aldore.
* NiceHat: Wears a very large hat with a giant crescent moon on it and a wide brim that obscures his face.
* NoSell: No sold Hyoh of the Delta Star's attacks through the use of magical barriers and [[spoiler: seemingly comes out of Mombert's attack completely unharmed.]]
* ObviouslyEvil: Sickly pale when he shows his face, wears all black ominous robes, and is very arrogant.
* OmnicidalManiac: His true purpose for activating Weapon - he wishes to end all conflict on Paladia by killing everyone else off, leaving him the sole living being left. This reveal causes several of the Orders to outright rebel against him (or, as the case may be, to stop any subterfuge and make their opposition explicit).
* PlayingWithFire: Uses fire magic.
* PoisonousPerson: Can inflict poison and disease as well.
* SorcerousOverlord: Dresses as a black mage, primarily casts spells, and he's the evil ruler of all of Aldore. A significant portion of the second season involves the heroes searching for a way to nullify his various magical protections so as to even have a chance of defeating him.
