Taivas's team, and the secondary story players witness throughout the first act of Season 4. !Taivas
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/taivas_1.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:]]

The protagonist of his side of Season 4. A soldier from the Kingdom of Elmont once known as the strongest warrior. The loss of his family to an attack from Omega Spawn caused his life to spiral out of control and into destruction until he met Runda, his robot partner who became his BestFriend. Taivas was assigned the mission of locating and escorting Lehftia back to Elmont, not knowing what the Kingdom had in store for her, or the rest of the world for that matter...
----
* TheAce: He was known as this by the other knights of Elmont before his fall, being the strongest knight the Kingdom had ever seen.
* TheAlcoholic: Yshe would often find Taivas at a bar drinking his mind out. Runda then became the one who takes Taivas out of pubs before he destroys his finances on booze.
* {{BFS}}: Taivas likes carrying big blades around. For most of the story you'll see him with his TMR, Raging Tempest, [[spoiler:until Yshe gives him what eventually became known as the Crimson Saber when Raging Tempest breaks on their attempt to reproduce the Omnibus technique]].
* BecauseImGoodAtIt: The only reason Taivas stayed with the Elmont military after his family died is that being a soldier is all he ever knew, as he states to Lehftia.
* CombinationAttack: [[spoiler:What Taivas and Yshe's version of the Omnibus turns out to be, as Yshe herself couldn't perform the technique alone.]]
* DespairEventHorizon: Taivas had hit one before the start of the story after he found his wife and child dead due to a monster attack. Having lost all meaning in life, Taivas became a heavy alcoholic who was letting go of himself until Runda appeared in his life.
* {{Determinator}}: Taivas is crazy enough to soldier on countless wounds accumulated over the course of his journey to protect Lehftia, only breaking [[spoiler:when Lehftia herself, realizing Taivas's condition, surrenders to Kylma so that she would let him and his party go, which drives him to a HeroicBSOD instead and causes his body to crumble from the accumulated injuries]].
** [[spoiler:Turns out this is what allows one to attain a Blood Awakening: Taivas's refusal to give up on protecting Lehftia allowed him to overpower his Omega infection, causing him to ComeBackStrong from it.]]
* HeroicBSOD: Has a serious one [[spoiler:when Lehftia is taken back by Elmont and accepts to fuse with Omega so that her friends could live]].
* HeroicLineage: ''The starter of one''. [[spoiler:Taivas's arrival on Paladia is what started the Aldore bloodline that leads to Raegen and Rain.]]
* HeroicSafeMode: Taivas operates like this most of the time when on mission. When not on duty, he'll be [[DrowningMySorrows wasting whatever money he has on booze]].
* LateToTheTragedy: Subverted. [[spoiler:Taivas arrives at the Elmont Capital just as the Omega containing Lehftia is rampaging through the city. The scene of his arrival is the subject of Rain's recurring dream a thousand years later.]]
* TheLostLenore: Taivas's wife Pilvi, and his daughter Aurin. Their deaths to a stray Omega Spawn caused his whole life to spiral and him to become rather submissive to the Kingdom of Elmont until Lehftia entered his life. When Lehftia makes a LoveConfession to Taivas, he tells her that he has no space in his heart for anyone other than his wife. [[spoiler:Which, given how he's Rain's ancestor, is eventually proven to not be fully true.]]
* PlayingWithFire: Has a penchant for leaving trails of flame with his sword.
* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: Once Taivas learns that Lehftia is to probably die by being fused with a Proto-Omega after having gone through the effort of protecting her, Runda suggests he breaks her out of confinement and runs away with her, an idea Taivas is baffled at, at first (as he didn't think Runda could go beyond his programming), but takes without hesitation, sparking the whole plot.
* TrueCompanions: With Runda, whom he quickly became a friend to as the two spent time together.

!Runda
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/runda.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:]]

A prototype android developed by the mage Furze, although no models other than him exist. He learns by experience, having behavior identical to that of a human. He was assigned as a companion to Taivas, assisting him in missions, but eventually became his BestFriend and confidant, and someone Taivas can depend on to get him out of dangerous situations.
----
* GrewBeyondTheirProgramming: According to Runda, Elmont's directives are not absolute and he's able to make his own choices, including suggesting Taivas to rescue Lehftia from Elmont before they fuse her into a Proto-Omega.
* HeroicRROD: [[spoiler:Runda's constant use of his functions to help Taivas as things get more and more critical starts taking a toll on his body, and eventually he starts taking damage from the whole ordeal.]]
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler:He's the last one to give his life to ensure that Taivas is successful at rescuing Lehftia from the now ruined Kingdom of Elmont. To stop Kylma from getting his core and finding a way to pursue Taivas's group into Paladia, Runda self-destructed, presumably [[TakingYouWithMe taking Kylma with him]].]]
* MeaningfulName: His name is Swedish for the word "[[ShapedLikeItself Round]]", which is what his body looks like.
* PlayingWithFire: Runda is tagged as a Fire-elemental unit, and his Marine-Type Runda summer unit can imbue Fire onto himself for attacks.
* RiddleForTheAges: It is not explained how Furze installed in Runda things such as a [[SmokeOut smoke bomb]] function (which Runda flat out states not having known he even had it) and [[spoiler:the ability to open dimensional portals like the one that led Taivas, Yshe and Lehftia to Paladia]].
* SmokeOut: Runda somehow has the ability to emit a massive smoke screen that allows Taivas's party to escape pursuers, but Runda himself doesn't even know how or why he has that function. Unfortunately, [[GameplayAndStorySegregation he doesn't seem to have this ability when used as an unit]].
* StoneWall: One of the best physical tanks even in 2023, and he's given for ''free'' along with his shards and his gear. Runda has access to Shellga and Protectga +2, elemental protections, and provides massive general mitigation through his LB and SLB, as well as a nifty LB gauge fill.
* SupportPartyMember: Despite being a physical tank, Runda has tools for support, in particular headgear that allows him to seriously buff Taivas's LB or SLB depending on its configuration. Marine-Type Runda is a more proper support unit able to provide buffs for the whole party, albeit with the capability to work as a side DPS.
* ThirdPersonPerson: Runda often refers to Runda like this.
* TrueCompanions: His mechanic with Taivas as one depends on the other to get through.

!Lehftia

A timid girl living with Haveh in the village of Yorte. She was found by Haveh with no memories of her past life and lived with him ever since. Taivas arrives at the village with the objective of escorting her to the Kingdom of Elmont, but this mission will prove much more complex and complicated than both of them and Haveh imagined it to be...
----
* ApocalypseMaiden: [[spoiler:She has the Oracle's Grace, which allows her to fully sync with Weapon Monsters, and which Tahto has total intentions of exploiting on his quest to TakeOverTheWorld.]]
* DisappearsIntoLight: [[spoiler:Lehftia's extended time inside an Omega causes her being to start to fade for no discernable reason after Taivas and Yshe manage to remove her from the Weapon Monster. She lasts long enough for the trio to be whisked away to Paladia and for Taivas and Yshe to create a stalemate between the then small nations of Aldore and Hess, before she fades into light in front of Taivas.]]
* EasyAmnesia: She has no idea of who she was before she was found by Haveh, or why she had her powers and was considered a dangerous witch by the village of Yorte.
* GoOutWithASmile: [[spoiler:By the time Lehftia fully disappears in front of Taivas, she has fully made her peace with herself and wishes to Taivas that they could reincarnate as a couple in a future life.]]
* LoveConfession: Lehftia eventually finds it in herself to confess her feelings for Taivas after she's advised to do so by Runda. Taivas, however, has no interest in romance due to his inability to move on from Pilvi's death.
* PlayingWithFire: The main schtick of her as a Support unit is to support Taivas, so she leans into this element.
* SupportPartyMember: While at release Lehftia was nothing to write home about (mainly because her competition on the Fire element was ''Cetra Descendant Aerith's Brave Shift''), story updates gave her the gear and tools that enabled her to lift more weight than the competition, which includes a Fire rolling Amp, the ability to grant status resistance,
* WhatHaveIDone: [[spoiler:Her stint inside a Proto-Omega has her [[AndIMustScream more or less aware of what it did]] while being fueled by her powers (including hurting Haveh badly), and it causes her to scream and go catatonic for a while after Taivas manages to remove her from the contraption.]]

!Haveh

A young orphan who lived in Yorte by himself after the loss of his parents. After finding Lehftia unconscious in the forest, he took onto himself to take care of and protect her at all costs. Even though he's far weaker than Taivas and the others, Haveh is willing to go to the ends of the earth to ensure Lehftia's safety and happiness.
----
* CastingAShadow: Haveh's kit is mostly associated with the Dark element.
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler:Haveh let himself get badly burned by the Omega so that he could use the control unit he had to reach out to Lehftia inside the Weapon Monster, and succeeds, but succumbs to his wounds shortly after, not before having a last chance to talk to Runda, asking him to not tell Lehftia or Taivas of his death.]]
* IKnowYoureInThereSomewhereFight: [[spoiler:With the help of Kylma's control unit, Haveh attempts to reach out to Lehftia inside of Omega in order to break her out of the Weapon Monster's control, risking his own life for it. He succeeds, but it ''does'' cost him his life.]]
* SupportPartyMember: Haveh is a weird case as his toolset is a mix of support and breaker. [[caption-width-right:350:]]

A wandering adventurer who makes a living slaying monsters. He crosses into Taivas's group because of a situation that ensues between him and Haveh regarding Lehftia. Inspired by the legend of Snovlinka, Tulien is obsessed with living the way of a Hero, often putting his life on the line for the sake of others, but this also hides [[DeathSeeker his drive to die as a Hero as well]].
----
* DeathSeeker: When Lehftia [[spoiler:asks Tulien to take her back to Elmont so that no one gets any more endangered because of her]], Tulien tells her about his past life as a brigand, and about how he uses his drive to be a "hero" as an excuse to seek redemption through death for his past deeds.
* DishingOutDirt: He's an Earth-elemental Breaker, and with help from his story gear and Crown enhancements, pretty much the best at his job.
* DrivenToSuicide: Almost after seeing the children he robbed die to a monster attack and being unable to bear the burden of it. Tulien stops himself by realizing he just wanted an easy escape from his pain, and decides instead that [[RedemptionEqualsDeath he has to earn his death]] [[DeathSeeker by sacrificing his life]] [[HeroicSacrifice for the sake of someone else]], [[spoiler:which he does when he exploits his status as an Omega infected by carving a path for Taivas so he can rescue Lehftia]].
* DyingAsYourself: [[spoiler:By having Taivas MercyKill him once he started losing control, Tulien denied the will of the Omega from possessing his body.]]
* HeelRealization: This, coupled with WhatHaveIDone, is what caused Tulien to abandon the life of a thief and attempt to live a noble pursuit of heroism.
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler:Realizing he contracted the [[ZombieInfectee Omega infection]] just as Taivas's group initiated their operation to rescue Lehftia, Tulien decided to throw caution at the wind and use the opportunity to carve a swathe of destruction for Taivas to safely cross on his way to Lehftia. Once the influence of Omega started to become too much for him to keep properly moving, Tulien then simulated total conversion so that Taivas would grant him a MercyKill in battle.]]
* WhatHaveIDone: When he was a thief, after having found a pair of poor siblings he previously robbed of food slain by Omega Spawn, Tulien surmises that had he not stolen from these children, they would have been able to escape the monsters instead of the elder brother dying trying to protect his dying sister. This leads Tulien to [[HeelRealization be incredibly disgusted at himself]] and [[BeingEvilSucks losing all taste for being a criminal]].
* ZombieInfectee: [[spoiler:Tulien gets infected by an Omega Seed during the early stages of Taivas's plan to retrieve Lehftia. Realizing there's no coming back from that and that he'll eventually turn on his friends and try to kill them, Tulien decides to use his remaining time fighting like a beast to at least facilitate Taivas's path to Tahto, forcing Taivas to do a MercyKill on him once he started losing himself.]]

!Yshe
Elmont's top knight, and the leader of an elite squadron hand-picked by herself, comprised of the best fighters in all of Levonia. She has great admiration for Taivas as a fighter and maybe something more, and feels frustrated at Taivas's own fall from grace after his family died. She's put on a crash course against Taivas by King Lonto when the former decides to stop Elmont from fusing Lehftia to one of the Omegas and runs away with her, which leads her to question the world around her...
----
* BladeOnAStick: Yshe is very proficient with spears.

* AnIcePerson: Heavily attuned to Ice, also being the go-to debuffer for that element.
* TheRival: To Taivas, who she always considered vastly superior to her in skill.

!Kall
Yshe's second in command and her top fighter. Born from a family of military background, Kall joined only to appease his parents at first, but stayed as he developed respect for Yshe, which turned into romantic interest. Kall takes to himself the duty of sparing Yshe of any possible headaches, trying to solve her problems before she gets to know of it.
----
* AnIcePerson: Specializes in Ice magic. In fact, his Glacial Svard STMR has a trio of cooldown abilities called Blizzaja Chant that severely enhance Kall's damage with it.
* IJustWantMyBelovedToBeHappy: Despite having romantic interest in Yshe, Kall admits that she only has eyes for Taivas, which makes his own crush impossible. He doesn't mind as long as she's happy.
* KatanasAreJustBetter: Tends to carry a katana with him for fighting.
* SlidingScaleOfIdealismVersusCynicism: When fighting Taivas, Kall states to him that he doesn't have what it takes to go through with protecting Lehftia as he's not willing to kill people for it. Taivas responds that he's avoiding bloodshed for Lehftia's sake, to which Kall responds that while his idealism sounds pretty in paper, [[SillyRabbitIdealismIsForKids it won't get him through what's in store for his future]].

!Ilmatalle
An elite soldier under Yshe's command. A girl of humble origins who dreams of being a baker, she traded those dreams for the opportunity to help people when she was saved from bandits by soldiers. Her strong sense of justice causes her and Kall to clash often, though it's also noted that they complement each other.

* FinalGirl: [[spoiler:According to Vanharma, she's the only one in Levonia who survived the destruction of Elmont and the ordeals of Taivas's group, and the one who chronicled his story for future generations.]]
* AnIcePerson: While her support style is not focused on elemental buffs, her kit is heavily associated with Ice.
* SupportPartyMember: Ilmatalle's schtick is similar to Ihana's in that she specializes in providing killer buffs rather than enhancing the party's elemental aptitude.
