She is the wife of Siegfried who fought to be married to her, and she loves her husband over anything else in the world. But that love turned into a source of endless hatred when Siegfried was killed, blaming everything on Hagen. Letting herself be consumed by the flames of vengeance, she brought both her homeland and the Huns to ruin when she got many of their warriors killed before killing her brother Gunther and finally Hagen with her husband's Balmung, only ending her blood-soaked journey when she herself was killed.\\\

* BuxomBeautyStandard: Her ample breasts are her most notable physical feature. One Summer Event had her attracting a bunch of fake Orions because they all wanted to ogle or grope her chest.

* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Subverted. In the manga adaptation of Shimousa, Musashi deflects oen of Raikou's lightning bolts back at her in hopes of burning Raikou away with her own powers. Not only does Raikou survive this attack with barely a scratch, she simply comes down on Musashi and Muramasa even harder, vaporizing most of the mountain they're standing on.

* BerserkButton: Shuten-douji is this for Raikou, who instantly tries to kill Shuten and other "insects" on sight. This is not only because Shuten is Raikou's ArchEnemy, but because Raikou yearns to be herself and unbothered by the desires of others as Shuten is. Shuten is a living reminder of how troubled and repressed Raikou is. His Noble Phantasm, Shinsengumi, is a ST Buster attack which grows stronger the less health Hijikata has.
