Formerly "Nick Turner", Erasmus was one of the first people to join the ESP paramilitary wing, the Iron Corps. The Iron Corps was disbanded following numerous altercations with Neo-Nazi paramilitary corps as it was deemed ineffective, this is eventually where Price came in and reformed it to the GUARD, however this is irrelevant to Erasmus. Erasmus has no proper military training, however he has spent years being the de-facto head of ESP paramilitary forces (basically anything that isn't the GUARD) so he has some experience. He's a staunch Haddockist and thinks that willpower+ideology = victory..[[/labelnote]]

Formerly "Tristan Hannover," Jupiter and Haddock met during Haddock's time in the CPUSA, where Jupiter made clear his Maoist stance on issues. Jupiter and Haddock left the CPUSA at roughly the same time, with Haddock going on to found the ESP, while Jupiter refrained from joining political parties, finding their effectiveness disappointing. Jupiter never formerly joined the ESP, but was considered a "good fellow" by the party. Jupiter would routinely find work doing "odd jobs" for the ESP, ranging from supporting paramilitary units, to assassinating political rivals. Prior to the Haddockist uprising, Haddock reached out to Jupiter and offered him a place in the soon-to-be Republican Army. Jupiter, seeing limited options for Maoist uprisings in the US, accepted and was ferried into ESP territory to await further command. He's roughly equal to Price when it comes to ideological loyalty not fully buying into Haddockism, and generally more of a pragmatist, but he hasn't done anything to warrant hostility by the party, and his loyalty isn't really in question..[[/labelnote]]

The ESP generally knows very little about Provost. They think his real name is "Daniel Douglas" but it's possible this might be a fake name. Provost joined the ESP in the weeks leading up to open insurrection, and there was significant debate to allow him in at all, as some senior members were concerned he might be a Fed plant. As such, Provost was given command of strictly logistical matters, ie. equipment staches and garrisons and such. It was only after the insurrection, by matters of necessity, that Provost was given field command. His loyalty was in question, but it was generally believed that if he was going to rebel or sabotage the Republic, he'd have done it by now..[[/labelnote]]

By far the most questionable when it comes to loyalty. Clarkson was a sergeant for a detachment for one of the National Guards in the New England area. He joined the Republic after his compound was surrounded by Haddockist Partisans, and offered to turn over the equipment without resistance in exchange for securities for himself, some personal friends, and some soldiers. Clarkson was given field command for reasons of necessity, because even though a significant number of Professional soldiers joined the Republic at the onset of revolution, incredibly few officers did, meaning that Clarkson is one of the few commanders with actual military experience. As such, Clarkson pushes his privileges to something of an extreme, he has refused to follow the officer code-name system, i.e. "legate" and such, calling it "fucking retarded." The ESP really has no idea what Clarkson plans to do in the Republic, if he will stay loyal for opportunist reasons (he has a lot to gain by staying with the Republic and if they win) or if he will defect to another faction, like the stratocrats or the Feds for reasons of patriotism or loyalty..[[/labelnote]]

* TheQuisling: Formerly a federal army soldier, Clarkson surrendered to Haddock in exchange for membership in the Republican Army, with his position coming more out of necessity for experienced soldiers than anything else.

Mother Anarchy has been deep within the Seattle activist milieu for a couple of decades, and people started calling her variations on "protest mom" way back before '08. "Mother Anarchy" had to wait for internet leftism to mature before it could come into its own as a pseudonym. By the time of the 2016 election, it had stuck, and it became inseparable from her protest organizing.\\\
When Seattle plunged into an ecstatic insurrection in early 2017, defying flawed democracy and the new authoritarian in the White House, Mother Anarchy found herself suddenly within a militant stronghold in Seattle's Capitol Hill district as the barricades went up and a large number of police were trapped within their own precinct.
