* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: she could be rude, annoying and self-centered at times, but sometimes her heart is in the right place.

* OldFriendNewGender: Almost all of Nico's classmates, Sonia included, have no problem whatsoever with his gender identity, but Ari herself is a bit put off.

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He's reckless, self-destructive and prone to outbursts, but deep down he truly cares about Nico and genuinely wants to improve his self-esteem.

* TookALevelInKindness: Only after Polo is tragically killed and she politely rejects a scholarship offer from his mothers, is the moments Cayetana decides she no longer wants to be someone she's not and growing out of her delusional fantasy of a luxurious lifestyle. In season 4, she is even on good terms with the rest of the characters.

* PutOnABus: Decides to study in London, however her flight is delayed as revealed in the short story. Eventually schedules another flight, though not before having one last moment alone with Samuel and bidding him farewell via an emotional voice message.

* {{Hypocrite}}: Raúl angrily calls Carmen "crazy", despite the fact that he's actually the one who's ''crazy'' for his violent treatment of women and even had the gall to to attempt to murder Carmen by threatening to throw her off the balcony. [[ArmorPiercingQuestion Carmen responds by asking Raúl if he does realize how does he not know how to treat women with respect]].

* MsFanservice: She's totally proud of being seen in revealing clothes while hooking up and one time she is completely naked during a makeout session with Raúl.

* PetTheDog: Does a VERY minor one to Samuel. Samuel and Guzmán get into a fight when he tries to explain unsuccessfully that Polo killed Marina and are seen by Lu who reports them to a teacher, who breaks them up and has them sent to Azucena, who is fed up with their situation and demands to know who started the fight. Lu falsely points fingers at Guzmán, who is outright suspended for three days (initially two, but got three when Guzmán protested this), but Azucena still makes clear to Samuel that he won't get off the hook so easily and intends to report the incident to his mother. After they leave, Lu tells Samuel that he owes her one, implying that he should return the favor of keeping a secret her incestous relationship with Valerio just like she kept a secret that he was the one who ''actually'' started the fight.

** Rebeka was also right to turn down Samuel's request to have her mother hire some thugs to scare Polo off when he shows up at the club, thinking he was only there to cause more trouble (when in reality he just tried to inform Nadia and Lu that his mothers reinstated their scholarships, only after he confessed to killing Marina).

* JerkassHasAPoint: Twice, ''to Samuel''.

** While she clearly refused to give Samuel any information about her and Polo's involvement in Marina's death and supported her family in covering it up, Carla was horrified when she thought that Samuel is dead when he went missing that she was willing to sacrifice everything to make things right for once (even though this was a ploy so he and Guzman could make her confess).
** She was also afraid of her father when he threatened to kill him if she ever saw Samuel again, which made her act cold and distant as a way to protect him.

* {{Hypocrite}}: Polo's multiple voiced discomforts with their polyamorous relationship are brushed off by her, pressing him to keep things going, even as people look down on Polo for letting her fondle another man in public. She immediately dumps Polo when he and Christian hook up without her the one time, making it clear that the relationship was for her own interests, and that Polo benefitting from it was unacceptable.

* NoSympathy: While Guzman and his parents are genuinely saddened about Marina's death, she's the only one at her funeral who does not feel sorry at all for her former friend.

* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Gives one to Ari for ruining her relationships when she can't bring herself to visit [[spoiler:Samuel's grave]] and another after catching her having sex with Iván during his father's memorial, outright calling her a "filthy drunk girl with no respect for nothing".
