* HateSink: When it all comes down to it, he's a bigoted and self-serving jerk with absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever. In fact, his introduction scene shows we're not supposed to like him. [[spoiler: On top of that, his [[UncertainDoom implied demise]] is not played for sympathy. In fact, any sympathy in that scene goes directly to [[InnocentAliens the Squaries]], who have suffered for who knows how long under his regime.]].

* AndThereWasMuchRejoicing: [[spoiler: When Papa Drop gets overinflated by Inflato, a voice can clearly be shouting "He's gone!" (likely Poley's mother) and Professor Globus says "he was only a bag of wind". Suffice to say, no one is sad to seem him go.]]

* ThisIsSomethingShesGotToDoHerself: In ''Dot in Space'', after she and Dozey-Face successfully jump over the electric fence, she tells the latter that she has to rescue Whyka on her own, likely because she didn't want to get Dozey-Face into any more trouble.

* NiceHat: The large Western-style hat he wears as ''The Party''.

* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: He agrees to help the insect-sized Dot find the magic root that would restore her to her normal size, since she saved from drowning in a watercan that her brother Simon put him in.
* ButNowIMustGo: Played with, given that shortly after he and Keeto rescue Dot from her imprisonment in Nasty's nest, he undergoes a transformation via a cocoon. [[spoiler: At the very end of the film, he becomes a butterfly.]]

* RepulsiveRingmaster: Given that his "Catch the Bunyip" scams nearly get people killed and he seems to be well aware of it, "repulsive" is one of the nicest things to describe him.

* BadBoss: Mr. Sprag is this to Scarface.

* SlasherSmile: He has his teeth bared when he chases away the Roundy soldiers and advances on Dot and Whyka

* OpportunisticBastard: He appears to be this, as everything he does is to get on the good side of Papa Drop and to further his own career. Why else would he be in charge of the Roundy Army and [[WardensAreEvil the warden of the Prison for Squaries at the same time?]] [[spoiler: Why else would Papa Drop promote him to general when he thinks he's captured Gorgo, The Party (a.k.a. his own son Roley) and Dot?]]

* StillSucksThumb: Most notably when his troops defect from him and side with Dot, Whyka, ''The Party'' (Roley) and Gorgo.

* {{Jerkass}}: A ''colossal'' one at that, even by Roundy standards. This is evident in his introduction scene, [[EstablishingCharacterMoment where he is first seen hitting Professor Globus for praising him]], repeatedly insulting Dot and Whyka when the Roundie Sergeant and his troops bring them to him (even going so far as ordering the Roundie Sergeant to [[KickTheDog throw Whyka away]]), cruelly taunting Dot when she attempts to fight back against her captors and break free of her bondage ([[ItIsDehumanizing even going so far as referring to her as an "it"]]) after she is declared a square and refusing to remove her gag so she won't be able to deny it, and berates and whips his own son for trying to intervene on her behalf. Simply put, he basically enjoys being cruel, and he only gets worse as the film progresses.

* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: His expression when he looks apologetically at Whyka screams this as his father orders Dot to be taken away for interrogation in response to him pointing that the Roundies won't find out who or what Dot is unless she can talk and she can't do that with her gag on.
