* TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers: He is the only leader amongst the four main teams who is ''not'' a pitcher. This is intentional, indeed, so that he can rival the other three.

* JerkassBall: Grabs this briefly during the WABC arc when he came to watch the Japan VS UK game with his teammates. When asked about his thoughts on Hiroshi's injury, Aimond's response was that he and the rest and his teammates were grateful that he couldn't play for the Japan team (what makes this even worse was that the car accident could have ''killed'' Hiroshi in the process) which rightfully earned him Hyoro's wrath. Thankfully, this was brief as later he did show that he actually still cares about his Doras teammates, both from his comments and thoughts in the final match, and his decision to return to Doras post WABC arc.

* TookALevelInBadass: He was very much unremarkable aside from his defense on shortstop, but come the WABC arc Suzu has grown to be one of the more consistent and dependable members in Doras and gets tons of awesome moments in the later volumes.

* AdultFear: What happened to him in his first meeting with Doras. He was sitting in a box, floating aimlessly on the vast Edogawa River, his call for help to Doras implied he got into this situation by mistake... He could have been swept away to somewhere else he’s unfamiliar with and caught by shady people, or fallen out of the box and drowned.

* {{Megane}}: He wears glasses. When he takes them off, somehow he pitches better.

* RagtagBunchOfMisfits: A delivery robot and his owner, a rich [[TheDandy dandy]], fish-shop manager, children caretaker, a random child doesn’t even know what baseball is, an [[TokenMinority American]] dude who joined the team by mistake... Not the best material for a baseball team.

** Hiroshi’s sudden accident and possible CareerEndingInjury doesn’t do his emotions any favor. Luckily, he bounces back quickly enough to reach the first match of WABC in time and declares that he will now also play baseball for Hiroshi’s part.

* HeroicBSOD: He is reasonably upset with the fact that he cannot take part in the WABC Cup, even snapping at Mika at one point. Luckily, he gets better.

* GuestStarPartyMember: He only sided with the Americans for the WABC Cup, after that, he immediately returns to Doras.

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: "Jerk" is a little stretched out since he rarely acts hostile, but he has a kind heart and is helpful. He even risked his own safety just to catch the ball for the team's sake.

* NiceGuy: He is meek, kind and can’t bring himself to hurt others' feeling.

* HeelFaceTurn: He becomes a true member of Doras after his attempts to sabotage them failed and he was dumped like trad by Amoll.

In Shin Dorabase, he, just like Shiroemon, has become professional player and is one of the Chiba Marines's top players.

* HeroicBSOD: Since Hyoroemon [[spoiler:left Doras]], the team doesn’t do well in a match they would have slaughtered. He gets so furious, stress, and anxious at the same time that he has to smash his helmet into the ground to cool off.

* GreenEyedMonster: Sometimes gets jealous with other pitchers who get better recognitions than him, most apparent during the WABC arc.

* FaceHeelTurn: Temporarily, in the WABC Cup Arc, he leaves for America to join in their national team, officially turns his back to his Japanese teammates. But after the cup is over, [[HeelFaceTurn he returns to Doras]] despite all the offerings from the other side of the world, showing that he’s still dedicating to them.

* TheGenericGuy: All we ever know about Suzu is how he is a rich guy, and he has a good baseball sense. When he is put inside Doras, he stands out because he is extremely generic.
* NeatFreak: He seems to have some talent for baseball, but because he does not want to get his uniform dirty, he usually avoids sliding and lunging. Initially at least, since he gets better.
* NonIdleRich: Despite coming from a rich family, he’s quite humble and has an iron will. Even moreso after his CharacterDevelopment.

* TeamDad: Can be seen as one for the Doras. He’s the tallest and often takes the role of a coach (literally becomes the team’s coach in the sequel).

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: While he is no doubt a good person, intentionally or not, Paku sometimes can say mean things, which usually causes more troubles for Doras like when he angered [[BearsAreBadNews Pokoemon]].

* AnnoyingYoungerSibling: To the Doras. He is a crybaby, playful, childish, loves to play prank on everyone, but no one can actually hate him.

* CombatPragmatist: He's not above cheating, deceiving and even robbing if the outcome is good for his side. Justified for the robbing however, since he’s taking back the Gusa mouse which Amoll stole from Guriemon to force him to take down Doras.

* AscendedFanboy: Besides baseball, he's also a big fan of soccer and the Brazil soccer player Ronaemon. Then he finally meets his idol...in a match to determine whether soccer or baseball is better, which pretty much troubles him. [[spoiler:He wins the duel feet vs feet when facing Ronaemon]].

* ProneToTear: He can be a crybaby sometimes, but that is usually handled by Kuroemon giving him a dorayaki to chew/suck on to stop him from crying.

* TheStrategist:
* SuperStrength: What he accidentally gained from his research, so his throws are much stronger than before. He [[BroughtDownToNormal comes back to normal]] after being hit by a thunder.

An amateur baseball team in Tokyo (specifically, Edogawa) consists of [[RobotBuddy cat robots]] (except for Hiroshi and Mika) founded by Kuroemon. At first they were a bunch of losers lost in every match they took part in but after days of training tirelessly, this team has made great progress and won the first prize in some tournaments.

* RedOniBlueOni: Hyoro and Aimond, respectively. Aimond can shift from being the latter to the former, but Hyoro is always the Red Oni.

* VitriolicBestBuds: Hyoroemon didn’t get along well with Chibiemon at first and deemed him as a troublemaker ([[TheTrickster not that it’s untrue]]), but after seeing Chibi risked himself to catch Hirai's homerun, he appreciates the little brave guy.

The team's current captain and manager, one of Edogawa Doras' founders and initial player members. He settled on staying in Hiroshi's household and is working for them.

The main pitcher for Doras and Kuroemon's best friend. The only son of a family that owns a delivery business, called the "Doraneko Delivery Service". Before joining Edogawa Doras, he has been helping his mother run the delivery business ever since his father died. Years of lifting heavy boxes give him strong shoulders, resulting in powerful pitches.

In volume 12, he was selected to attend the WABC Cup but due to a traffic accident, he had to relinquish his position and gave it to his teammate Suzuemon.

* DisappearedDad: His father, who ignited the love for baseball inside him, passed away long ago.

The left fielder for Doras, he lived in Florida before moving to Japan to play professional baseball. His cool and collected attitude sometimes [[TheComicallySerious is the source of humor]]. Presently, he’s living with Mr. Inazuma without needing to pay for the accommodation.

He’s invited to play for the American team during the WABC Cup, and brings them the most glorious victory. His old baseball team before he joined Doras is called "Lobsters".

The short-stop of Doras, an initial player member. He comes from a rich background and has good baseball sense. He replaced Hiroshi to attend the WABC Cup due to the latter's injuries, and did his job better than expected.

* ButtMonkey: The poor guy often gets mistreated, which become a RunningGag.
* TheDandy: Spends great care to his outfit, takes pride in the fact that he has the biggest neck bell and dresses well.

* NeatFreak: Originally, he didn’t bother to catch the ball because he scared his clothes would be dirtied. But he got better.
* NonIdleRich: Despite coming from a rich family, he’s humble and has an iron will. Even moreso after his CharacterDevelopment.

The team's first baseman, an initial player member, also the shadow coach and mood maker in the team. Hot-headed, but kind and reasonable. He works at the fish store.

* TenMinuteRetirement: [[spoiler:Before the Cup, Hyoro suddenly quits Doras to concentrate on taking care of his sick 'father' - the fish store's owner - and managing the store for him. He didn’t seem to have any regret once he got to face Shiro’s White Ball one last time and entrusted his position to Guriemon, but thanks to Mikee’s efforts and the encouragement of the 'father' himself, he quickly comes back.]]
