* OutsideContextFoe: Warren behaves differently than the other teachers do when trying to give the trio a lesson. Instead of whisking them away on a song, he instead attempts to teach them via situations similar to a workplace training video.

* ForWantOfANail: He was originally meant to merely be the raw material to make a new friend from a [[ItMakesSenseInContext friend-making kit]] from a selection of templates. The only reason he developed his own personality was because Yellow Guy knocked him and the kit off the table during a fit of grief.

* TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers: They all are the AnthropomorphicPersonification of Yellow Guy's happy thoughts: First Tooth and Bubble Bath Memory embody happy memories of his, Saturdavid embodies fun Saturday activities, Shy Imaginary Older Brother is a secret wish of his... and then there's [[AnimalisticAbomination Yumpherdinker]]. Maybe they could represent a ''wild'' imagination?

* OutdatedOutfit: The series is set-roughly-in the modern day, yet the twins' clothes-and especially Todney's hairstyle-look like they dress like its still the early 70s.

* {{Troll}}: While other teachers may have a habit of being needlessly annoying, Colin ''will'' take any opportunity to piss off everyone he interacts with including other teachers!

* BerserkButton: Don't you ever dare ignore him in favour of rambling with your friends about the nature of time, or he'll make your ears bleed, then accelerate the passage of time, causing you prematurely age and decay ''whilst still alive.''

* KnowNothingKnowItAll: ''All of them'' try to teach subjects they don't know anything about or have an extremely distorted opinion on it.

* OnlyInItForTheMoney: The teachers are very uninformed about the subject they teach, having either not bothered to read the script, were only interested in exposure for their future prospects, or they were only interested in making money for their part in the video. They go off-script, have bad acting skills, and they torture anyone who tries to question them.

* DreadfulMusician: He sings with a flat voice in "Dreams". Subverted in the TV show where he sings with more inflection and melody, especially during the memories song in "Death".

* DespairEventHorizon: [[spoiler:In the end of "Transport", when he discovers that outside of their reality is nothing but a derelict wasteland with no living thing in sight. His dreams of him and his friends running away to start a new life in a normal community has been broken. He claims to Yellow that "things will turn up" but you can audibly [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness hear him crying afterwards]].]]

* AdaptationalAngstUpgrade: His self-awareness and annoyances towards all the strange things that are happening to the trio is shown more in the TV series. Particularly in "Transport", he seems to be much more bothered and even depressed by the trio's constant torment of teachers and the fact that they go nowhere. [[spoiler:Up to the point that he drags the two along and seemingly escape their reality -- [[YankTheDogsChain only for Lesley to send them back home with no memory]].]]

* ExpospeakGag: He claims that his "special drink" is "forged deep beneath the earth with the last remnants of the ancient ones". Obviously, he's just talking about oil.

* BritishTeeth: Throughout almost all the series, Red Guy's mouth is never shown, but during a brief segment in the first song number from "Death", he's seen brushing his teeth, from which it's shown his teeth are rather jagged and spread apart. It also ties back to how he's the most notably British of the trio, using terms from the U.K. like "bin" instead of "trash can".
