* InnocentFanserviceGirl: A bit ironically, she seems completely clueless throughout both games just how un-terrifying she appears to people in general (and especially towards men). Which makes her comes across as rather naïve, in her own way. In fact, when she first notices Laguna's hesitation she assumes it's because he's "caught in fears icy grip" (not comprehending that men might get distracted by scantly clad females for reasons other than fear).

* MagicallyIneptFighter: Jecht notably has no magical attacks at all in the original game, and only picks up Jecht Beam in the prequel. He relies solely on crushing physical melee combos, and his lack of ranged options is his main weakness.

* OneWingedAngel: Averted, surprisingly enough considering he's the TropeNamer. Sephiroth's OWA form would require a completely different character model, due to how inhuman it is, rather than just a new skin, and that would have forced the game to stop and load every time he activated it (which is strange, considering how most of the other villains' EX forms were based on their legitimate One Winged Angel forms). He does have his one black wing from ''Advent Children'' and ''KingdomHearts'', though, making the trope be applied ''[[VisualPun literally]]''.

* AntiVillain: ''Mostly'' [[SlidingScaleOfAntiVillains Type I]]; while he's fighting for Chaos's side, he has no interest in the war and invokes EvenEvilHasStandards with the Emperor and Ultimecia. That said, while he's willing to fight the Warriors of Cosmos to get what he wants, he doesn't go out of his way otherwise. It's also implied in his ''Dissidia 012'' character bio that he might have also wanted to end the war as well.

* FunetikAksent: Subverted. Unlike ''Final Fantasy VIII'', Ultimecia does not pronounce her hard "c"s as "k"s. Like many other things in this game, this has [[BrokenBase split some fans on whether or not this is a good thing]].

** The sequel gave it a magic block ability, making it AwesomeYetPractical against mages like [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVI Terra]] or [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVIII Ultimecia]]. It's also useful against AIs who [[ArtificialStupidity would rather spam mid-range magic attacks than run up to you and attack.]]

** AwesomeYetPractical: As an Assist, the AI of course times his combos perfectly. Not only does he do a lot of damage, but he comes out fast and does Wall Rush to set up for further combos, and his combos are so long that it's possible to attack the opponent in unison with Jecht to pile on even more damage.

Hot Dad has been disambiguated. Examples not clearly fitting into one of the tropes other than Fetish Fuel mentioned on Hot Dad are being removed. If you think it fits one of these tropes, feel free to readd with proper context.

* DoesNotLikeShoes: Justified, as she always floats.

* DoesNotLikeShoes: Another justified example, as she doesn't have exactly human-shaped feet.

* DoesNotLikeShoes: As with everything else, the man is just ''too manly'' for anything but pants, even in his Zanarkand Abes alternate outfit.

Nope. Again, you\'re not offering a reason for the revert; blatant vandalism.

I really like it how you fiercly apply the first sentence on the trope page, but conveniently ignore the rest of the, uhm, seven, paragraphs that go into detail. Very Christian. Tropes are back on the page. I implore you not to screw about again, not unless you have a REAL reason for removal. Which...lol, you kind of don\'t (points to character images).

* ActorAllusion: Kefka, upon meeting with Terra for the first (onscreen) time, implies that she was a bloodthirsty monster beforehand. When he realizes that she doesn't remember, he reveals this information in such a way that causes her great trauma. Lastly, although unintentional, he takes a kid upon his escape (more specifically, the kid fought him), just like Raditz did with Goku in the beginning of the Vegeta saga. Both Raditz and Kefka are voiced in the Japanese version by ShigeruChiba.

** There's one regarding DaveWittenberg as well: During the battle with Terra, Kefka briefly makes a crazed face (specifically while chortling while flying high-speed towards the camera after the third attempt at bombing Terra with various Ultima balls) as he flies towards the screen.
