* NewMeat: He’s new on the job, and not as accustomed to life in Homicide as Harry is.

* PutOnABus: [[spoiler:After being shot by Scorpio, he decides he’s not cut out to be a cop and retires, hoping to use his sociology degree to get a job. In ''Film/MagnumForce'', Harry mentions he’s become a teacher.]]

* NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist: These guys may claim they’re killing criminals for the greater good, but they’re so vicious, sadistic, and all too happy to kill innocents just for being in their way that it rings hollow.

* SociopathicSoldier: While Sweet was the only character to confirm he used be an [[ElitesAreGlamorous spec-ops]] Airborne {{Ranger}}, it's implied all of them had military experience prior to joining the force and are presumed to be each TheVietnamVet, and are weaponizing their combat experience in terms of marksmanship and battle tactics to help their vigilante cause.

* SemperFi: It's briefly stated that he was in the Marines before he became a cop. He also keeps a coffee mug with the Corps logo in his apartment. It's possible he served during UsefulNotes/TheKoreanWar, just like his actor Eastwood.

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He isn't the nicest man you can meet, [[CowboyCop and his recklessness leaves a lot to be desired]], but his heart (and badge) are always in the right place and he cares deeply about protecting people and getting justice for victims and is capable of being a very good friend to those he takes a liking to.

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: While an angry, bitter and despondent person tempted to become a VigilanteMan out of his belief of ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight, he acts as a good friend for Harry who he can confide his issues to and is [[InformedAbility said]] to be a loving father towards his children despite his divorce from his wife.
