It is thought to be named after one of the producers of the Digimon Adventure English Dub, Terri-Lei O'Malley's, pet cat because an alternative Dub name wasn't decided and they came up with the name before they actually saw Plotmon, assuming that it was cat-based like Tailmon.
* GoldAndWhiteAreDivine: Wears a Holy Ring around its neck, identifying it as a holy Digimon whose celestial elements will soon emerge should it manage to evolve past Tailmon.

A Plant Digimon with a tropical flower blooming on its head. Although it evolved like a reptile from Tanemon, it is an unusual type which is classified as a plant based on its outward appearances and special qualities. During the day it opens up the flower and spreads its leaf-like arms to perform photosynthesis. It usually buries its root-like feet under the ground, and although it is absorbing nutrients, it is also able to walk. As for the flower on its head, when it is joyful or happy it will waft about a sweet fragrance, but when it is angered or senses danger, it releases a foul stench that will even drive off large Digimon.\\

A Mammal Digimon characterized by its large ears. It is able to fly through the air by using them as large wings, but because it only goes at a speed of 1 [=km/h=], it is said that it is definitely faster walking. However, it's very popular because its appearance is cute when it is desperately flying (though it seems it doesn't feel the same). Due to its extremely obedient personality, its trainers are well-defended. Also, even though Patamon doesn't wear a Holy Ring, it is able to exhibit its hidden holy power, and it appears to have inherited the genes of ancient Digimon.\\

A Beast Man Digimon with the appearance of a golden fox. The relationship Renamon has with humans is directly apparent; it is said that depending on how it was raised during its time as an Fresh, it can evolve into a Renamon of particularly high intelligence. It is always calm, cool and collected, as well as disciplined enough not to lose that composure in any situation. Its slender, tall appearance stands out when compared with other Rookie levels, and rather than emphasising on power in battle, it instead makes sport of the enemy with various techniques that utilize its speed.\\

A Beast Digimon that, because it sports an old-style Interface on its brow, is presumed to be an experimental "Prototype Digimon" from before the Digital World was discovered. Although its body is clad in protective Japanese-style armor high in defensive ability, its movements are nimble, so it fights by resolutely leaping into the opponent's chest. It studies the business of combat as it fights, and possesses Bushikatagi, with bravery and a soul that doesn't fear more powerful Digimon. That data that is said to have been hidden within the deepest part of its Digicore, during an experiment, is the ferocious combat data of the "Dragons" and "Generals" of Japanese mythology, and it is said it has the potential to grow into a mighty Digimon.\\

A Holy Species Digimon characterized by its lop ears. Because it is still very young, it is unable to manifest its holy power, and isn't even aware of its own mission. For that reason it is naturally insecure, so it can become either good or evil. However, the time will come some day when Plotmon, who was born as a Holy-species Digimon will awaken to its mission as one of the "Virus Busters". Also, Plotmon is an experimental Digimon that was created by Digimon researchers, and because it was made to imitate the pets that live with humans, it has an appearance close to that of a real animal.\\

The original type of Insect Digimon who, although it has a hard shell, still has low aggression. It has one hard claw on each of its fore-legs, and four on each of its middle- and hind-legs, and in particular, the middle-legs are able to skilfully grasp objects just like a human hand. Although the other insects at its evolution level possess only fighting instinct, it still retains its naturally friendly sentiments, and displays its carefree way of life by doing things like sniffing the scent of flowers and napping in the shade of a tree.\\

With one horn growing from its head, it is a Digimon shrouded in mystery. It can be classified as a Beast Digimon from its body structure, but it's still not understood what kind of evolved form it will take on. Also, it is rumored that it is sometimes born with a twin. It's a very cute type of Digimon, and from its calm behavior it doesn't seem like a "Combat Species" Digimon, but in the case of battle it shows that it is more powerful than it appears.\\

A new species of Digimon that was discovered recently. As a survivor of a species that flourished in the Genesis of the Digital World, it is able to perform "Armor evolution", a "Pseudo-evolution" using the Digieggs. Among others, Veemon is an excellent Combat Species, as it possesses hidden power, and demonstrates tremendous abilities by Armor evolving. Although it has a mischievous, prank-loving personality, it has another side with a strong sense of justice.\\

A Larva Digimon with a timid, cowardly personality. Just like Veemon and the others, it's a descendant of an ancient species, so it is able to perform special Armor evolutions, but since Wormmon is powerless by itself, it can't possibly match up to larger Digimon. However, by Armor evolving with the power of the Digi-eggs, it is able to manifest unbelievable power. Also, it is said that in order for the fragile larva to grow into a powerful imago, Wormmon will one day evolve into a Champion overflowing with power. It can definitely be said that it is a Digimon who has hidden potential for the future.\\

* ShrinkingViolet: It's a timid creature that dislikes attention.

* PrehistoricAnimalAnalog: It has a face vaguely resembling that of a feathered raptor.

* MakeMeWannaShout: Its "Puppy Howling" where it produces a high-pitched cry that paralyzes the opponent. In ''Anime/DigimonAdventureTri'', it's even shown to paralyze [[Characters/DigimonDarkMasters Machinedramon]].

A Plant Digimon with a large, tropical flower blooming on its head. Unusually for Plant Digimon at the time of its discovery, Palmon resembles a bipedal reptile with plantlike qualities. It feeds through photosynthesis, and can bury its root-shaped feet into the ground to absorb nutrients. When it's happy, its flower gives off a sweet scent, but when angry or in danger, it instead emits a foul stench that drives off Digimon far stronger than it. Its special attack is Poison Ivy, which uses its fingers as vines to grapple and ensnare the opponent, paralyzing them in the process.\\

A Mammal Digimon known for its large ears, which resemble bat wings and enable it to fly. Unfortunately, it can only fly at one kilometer per hour and is often better off just walking. It's a rather popular Digimon due to how cute it is when attempting to fly, though Patamon doesn't agree with the sentiment. Patamon is an obedient Digimon that's willing to defend its tamer to the end, and has plenty of hidden potential up its sleeve as, not only does it have some holy power deep inside, but it also contains the ancient genes necessary for Armor Digivolution. Its special attacks are Boom Bubble, where it fires a blast of compressed air at the enemy, and Rapid Wing Attack, where it slaps the foe around with its ears.\\

A Beast Man Digimon resembling a golden fox. Despite being a Rookie level, it's actually quite tall, barely bigger than a human child. The way it's raised as a Fresh or In-Training level directly affects its upbringing, and depending on its tamer, it can grow up to boast a high level of intelligence. Renamon is always calm and collected, rarely if ever losing its composure no matter the situation, and prefers to to make short work of its enemies through a quick and varied arsenal of techniques rather than brute strength. Its special attacks include Fox Switch Deception, where it copies its opponent's appearance, and Diamond Storm, where it fires a bunch of pointed leaves at its opponent.\\

A Beast Digimon and carrier of the X-Antibody. Similarly to Dorumon, it sports an old-style Digicore Interface on its forehead, marking its status as a Prototype Digimon from before the discovery of the Digital World. Despite being clad in protective Japanese armor, it's surprisingly nimble in combat and prefers definitive strikes to its foe's chest. It routinely studies the art of combat, and doesn't fear stronger Digimon thanks to its strong sense of bushido. According to data extracted during an experiment, it has both general data and dragon data and is capable of becoming an even mightier Digimon in due time. Its special attacks include Katana Attack, where it fires an iron blade from its mouth, and Helmet Return, where it tanks the enemy's attacks and delivers a counterattack.\\

A Mammal Digimon known for its droopy ears, and is classified as Holy-Species. It's actually a Prototype Digimon made by researchers, and was made to resemble a real-life puppy. Since it's still a Rookie, it has yet to be made aware of its mission of becoming a Virus Buster, or its full power as a Holy Digimon. Due to Salamon's insecure personality, it can become good or evil depending on how it's raised, but it's bound to become a Virus Buster someday and eliminate evil Digimon. Its special attack is Puppy Howling, a high-pitched bark that paralyzes its opponent.\\

An Insect Digimon resembling a ladybug that's considered the originator of its kind. It has a hard shell that conceals its wings, and its forelegs are tipped with a large claw for combat. Its middle legs have opposable claws that are able to grasp objects like a human hand. Unlike most Insect Digimon, which are fueled by fighting instinct, Tentomon is a carefree, friendly Digimon that prefers to smell flowers and nap under trees. However, when it does fight, it can drive opponents away with its electric Super Shocker attack.\\

A Beast Digimon with one horn and long, rabbit-like ears that's often born as a set of twins with Lopmon. It was initially shrouded in mystery, with experts unable to determine what kind of form it would take when Digivolved. It's an energetic, yet calm and easygoing Digimon that belies its nature as a Combat-Species, with plenty of attacks that can catch its opponent off guard. Such attacks include Terrier Tornado, where it spins around fast enough to create a small twister, and Bunny Blast, where it shoots a blast of hot air from its mouth.\\

* BreathWeapon: It's "Blazing Fire" spews out a shot of superheated air, the anime shows that it can either rapid-fire it in small blasts or shoot it out as one big blast.

* ElementalPowers: Fire and Wind for Terriermon and Ice and Wind for Lopmon

A Small Dragon Digimon that flourished since the Digital World's genesis, but wasn't discovered until quite a while later. Veemon is a Combat-Species Digimon with tremendous fighting skill and limitless potential, and though it's a miscievous prankster by nature, it's also a noble Digimon that strives for justice. It can evolve into both Veedramon and [=ExVeemon=], and its ancient DNA enables it to Armor Digivolve. Its special moves are Boom Boom Punch, where it spins its arms and strikes its opponent, and Vee Headbutt, where it rams into its foe head-first.\\

* CanonImmigrant: It was added to the Digimon Reference Book in 2022, and got a full archetype devoted to it in the card game shortly after.

A Larva Digimon descended from an ancient species of Digimon, similar to Veemon. Unlike its fellow descendants, Wormmon is a timid Digimon that can't fight by itself, though it's at least able to provide support. However, its cowardly nature masks its hidden potential. It is capable of Armor Digivolution, and its natural Champion stages are filled to the brim with immense power. Its special attacks are Sticky Net, where it restricts the opponent with a sturdy web, and Silk Thread, where it spits out stiffer, sharper webs for minor offense.\\
