A man who was caught in a house fire, only to die in [=DarkLizamon=]'s botched attempt to save his life. While he isn't the first casualty of a hologram ghost incident, he happened to be one of the first whose deaths were witnessed by the general public.

* CruelAndUnusualDeath: Is cremated from his limbs inwards from [=DarkLizamon=]'s Dread Fire attack, fully cognizant all the while and begging for help while his parents and everyone else can only watch in horror.
* ReducedToDust: He stepped outside of [=DarkLizamon=]'s black flames and disintegrates into ash. There's nothing else left of him.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: The first human in the series to die on-screen, resulting in a group of people now being fully aware that Digimon are not simply mindless holograms and are capable of killing humans. Not only that, there are more people being killed by dangerous Digimon in subsequent episodes.
* TooDumbToLive: [=DarkLizamon=] tried to tell Tsuyoshi not to leave his Dread Fire prison until he gave him the all-clear, but he was too eager to get out of the house.

* BodyHorror: Her ''whole body'' was twisted into a barely-recognizable spiral when Calamaramon decides to jack her antics further, causing her much agony and incapacitating her. Her parents don't fare much better, but Kantaro wasn't affected because Hiro expanded the digital field in time.
* GottaCatchThemAll: At the start of the episode, she and Gammamon spend the most of the day finding "bendy objects" (i.e. objects affected by Calamaramon).

* SmallRoleBigImpact: Her request for help in finding her lost sister has led the heroes into dealing with a group of incredibly nasty Oboromon. Hiro and Ruli also fall victim to the incident, Gammamon has to Dark Digivolve into [=GulusGammamon=] to brutalize them and free everyone, and ''we'' get to find out that [=GulusGammamon=] was TheDreaded back in the Digital World.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Despite being the one to involve the heroes in the case to help find her sister, Miori ends up vanishing halfway into the plot after Rui tells her to flee from the Oboromon chasing them. She doesn't appear again after this, but she presumably was reunited with Misaki after all the victims of the Oboromon were set free.

* AdaptationalNiceGuy: {{Downplayed|Trope}}. According to the Digimon Reference Book, it's supposed to be the EvilCounterpart of Kyubimon, and is feared to [[DoomMagnet bring destruction wherever it goes]]. Here, it was nice enough to return a woman's wallet, but is standoffish otherwise, being annoyed at people [[StopWorshippingMe leaving it offerings]] when it just wants to be left alone.

* PaletteSwap: While normally it would be the EvilCounterpart to Kyubimon, with this one being a {{downplayed|Trope}} AdaptationalNiceGuy, it's instead left as a purple colored Kyubimon.
* PetTheDog: Despite seeming standoffish and not liking attention, it did return a woman's wallet even though it had no reason to do so.

A group of Digimon that enjoyed racing, they were dragged into a death race by Sistermon Ciel, and left with no choice but to race against her if they didn't wish to be absorbed by [=MetalFantomon=]. They are comprised of an Elephamon, a Kokatorimon, a Unimon, two Kokuwamon, three Kiwimon, four Thunderballmon, and six Flybeemon.

* DarkIsNotEvil: He's a Virus type Digimon, yet he only acted out because of Granny's disappearance, and even then, his pranks are harmless at best and annoying at worst.

* NotEvilJustMisunderstood: He's less evil and more just lonely and wanting to play with someone since Granny is preoccupied elsewhere. At worst, it just acted as ThePrankster when the other guests wouldn't play with him, but was willing to make up for it after the kids manage to make fireworks for him, returning Kiyoshiro's underwear to him at the very end.
* ThePrankster: Pulled pranks on resort guests, due to an elderly member of the staff called Granny being unable to watch fireworks with him. Most of his pranks were rather mundane, mainly just making messes and pulling the drain on a bath. Worst he did was steal Kiyoshiro's underwear.

* SpannerInTheWorks: Not only were they the ones who informed Hiro of Petermon's kidnappings, they play a vital role in stopping him by evolving into Orcamon and canceling out Petermon's whistle. This also inspires the other captive Digimon to evolve as well.

* BadPowersGoodPeople: A cute and friendly insect Digimon who only wanted some help, but their scales have the ability to mutate other Digimon into berserk insect-types. Downplayed, in that Morphomon's state of mind implies that the scales themselves are harmless when it's calm and the satellite they were imprisoned in was distorting the intent of the signal.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: Any Digimon who touches Morphomon's red scales will grow insect-like features on their body, have glowing red eyes, become extremely aggressive to humans, make hissing sounds and crawl and fly around to attack anyone near them. When the brainwashing is snapped off, the Digimon act as if that never happened.

* MrExposition: He's the one who informs Hiro, Ruli, Gammamon, and Angoramon about the Kodokugumon swarm infesting the mall, and tells them how get to the mall from there.

* WeakBossStrongUnderlings: {{Downplayed|Trope}}. As an angelic Digimon, Darcmon is certainly stronger than others of her level, but she ''is'' still just an Adult level. Her servant/pet however, Manticoremon, is at the Perfect level, and was able to quickly defeat both [=BetelGammamon=] ''and'' [[spoiler:Thetismon]], requiring the debut of [[spoiler:[[TheBerserker Lamortmon]]]] to take it down. {{Justified|Trope}} in that, on their own, Manticoremon are mindless savage beasts, and require angelic Digimon like Darcmon to keep them in control and give them direction, lest they attack everything around them in their hunger for Virus Digicores.

* BodyHorror: When he manifests fully from Tamotsu's body, Shadramon has his limbs, head and wings sticking right out from it. It's not painful, but Shadramon was able to take over his mind, and Nanomon can control Shadramon through drilling Tamotsu's ear.
* BookEnds: His episode begins with him losing a battle on top of a hillside and dying on a night, only to be "resurrected" by Nanomon. At the end of the episode, he was separated from Tamotsu by Thetismon and disintegrates at the same hill on the next night.
* CameBackWrong: He was "resurrected" by Nanomon in Tamotsu's body moments before death, but his body is stuck within the human, with his limbs, wings and head eventually sticking out from the human's body. When they're separated, he disintegrates in a matter of seconds as that was the only thing holding him together.

A group of mollusc Digimon camping next to the wedding site where the Chamblemon are kidnapping people to use as mushroom farms, seemingly having an interest with the mushroom Digimon. Turns out they're going after the Chamblemon to turn them into their own mushroom farms.

* AlwaysABiggerFish: The Chamblemon might had been wanted to use humans as mushroom farms, but little do they know they're preyed upon by a bunch of Geremon who wants ''theirs'' too by turning the Chamblemon into one.

* JustDesserts: A variant of. They don't want to just eat the Chamblemon after they drag them away. They wanted to turn them into a mushroom plantation. Granted that the Chamblemon just kidnap people to brutally enslave and torture for food, you won't be feeling sorry for them when it happens.

* WeakButSkilled: Geremon, being of the same family as Numemon, are naturally weak even by Adult standards. What they lack in strength however they make up for in playing the long game, as they have one them lead Angoramon and Espimon to the Chamblemon under the assumption the two of them could beat the Chamblemon. While those two fail, once Kiyoshiro and Jellymon show up on Ginryumon and ''do'' defeat them, the Geremon then proceed to use their noxious odor to distract the main cast, bum rush them, and then run off with the Chamblemon to keep for themselves.

After Mr. Okonogi shows them a "helmet" that is actually [=DarkKnightmon=]'s severed head, [=DarkKnightmon=] targets these students one by one by stealing their souls and marking their necks with a red ring, turning them into headless ghosts in knight armor who can't do anything but ask for his head. Kiyoshiro and Okonogi join them later on, but the former wasn't in the history class that day but just happened to pass by.

The victim's names are Himari Yokomizo, Yuma Suzaki, Miki Shinjo and Kaito Uchida.

* HiveMind: The affected students retain their own voice, whatever they are wearing before they are hunted down and their speech patterns, but can only ask for [=DarkKnightmon's=] head. Since they don't specify whose head they're looking for and most people don't expect a Digimon going after them, the would-be casuality state that they don't know, at which [=DarkKnightmon=] appears to claim them and move onto the next person.

One Geremon leads them to the hideout and disappears before the fight, and once the heroes have weakened the Chamblemon, the slug-like Digimon were able to swoop in and collect their prizes without a fuss.

* DamselInDistress: Out of the three, Anna was the only one to outright insult Publimon's newspaper, which leads to him trying to outright kill her by causing an accident. Team Lilirun manages to save her from his sabotage in the end.
