A first term student of Hiro's school. He came across Jellymon and Andiramon's delivery service site, "Reward Elf" and uses it to give his fellow students valuable goods with no money required whatsoever. Little does he know the goods are created by Andiramon who drain the dorm building's life energy to create such goods, potentially causing it to be destroyed.

* ElevatorFailure: When Jellymon was finding his laptop to cancel his orders for the Andiramon, he was trapped in a malfunctioning elevator and an instructor had to pull him out. However, he dropped his laptop there and Jellymon was able to find it across the Digital Field and cancel all of his orders accordingly.
* IJustWantToHaveFriends: He made most of his friends by using Reward Elf to give them valuable goods. When these goods vanish because Jellymon and Hiro get the Andiramon to return them all, he's instantly surrounded by a bunch of pissed off students who had their valuable goods seemingly vanish out of thin air.
* LockedOutOfTheLoop: He's kept in the dark about Jellymon and Andiramon's involvement in the delivery service he's using.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: He just happened to come across Jellymon's site and used it to place orders for other students. Little does he know he's inviting a trio of Andiramon to effectively eat the whole Hazakura Dorm building.

A man who was caught in a house fire, only to die in [=DarkLizamon=]'s botched attempt to save his life. While he isn't the first casualty of a hologram ghost incident, he happened to be one of the first whose deaths were witnessed by the general public.

* CruelAndUnusualDeath: Is cremated from his limbs inwards from [=DarkLizamon=]'s Dread Fire attack, fully cognizant all the while and begging for help while his parents and everyone else can only watch in horror.
* ReducedToDust: He stepped outside of [=DarkLizamon=]'s black flames and disintegrates into ash. There's nothing else left of him.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: The first human in the series to die on-screen, resulting in a group of people now being fully aware that Digimon are not simply mindless holograms and are capable of killing humans. Not only that, there are more people being killed by dangerous Digimon in subsequent episodes.

Tamotsu has been saved and Shadramon rejoices in being able to keep his life and memories... only for his body to resume rapidly dissolving into data, much to his horror and everyone's shock. He spends his last moments crying out in despair, with Mummymon somberly noting that his fate of becoming a DigiTama is just the nature of all Digimon.
