The ruler and god of the Digital World. [[Anime/DigimonSavers Much like]] [[Anime/DigimonXEvolution its previous]] [[VideoGame/DigimonStoryCyberSleuth incarnations]], Yggdrasil sees humanity as a threat to Digimon everywhere and wants to destroy them. It was its plan to use the Reboot to bring back previously deceased Digimon so that it could amass an army in order to conquer the human world.

* AdaptationalVillainy: In ''Savers'', Yggdrasil only wanted to kill all humans because he's seen what [[MadScientist one human]] can do and [[AntiVillain feels that he is justified]], and was also placed in an 'us or them' situation due to said human that made the decision rather understandable from his point of view. Yggdrasil decides outright to conquer the human world despite humans saving his world multiple times, not to mention the only humans that ''were'' evil were only brainwashed by an evil Digimon[[labelnote:Context]]Vamdemon subjected Yukio Oikawa to DemonicPossession, which resulted in him sedning the email to Ken Ichijouji that led to him becoming the Digimon Kaiser under MoreThanMindControl, all for the sake of reviving himself to conquer both worlds[[/labelnote]].

* MeaningfulName: "Nishijima" means "west island", which heavily indicates that [[spoiler:his partner [=LoaderLeomon=] evolved into Baihumon, the White Tiger of the West]]. His first name "Daigo" rougly means "great power", which not only fits the ThemeNaming of [[spoiler:the goggle boys (at least it fits with Daisuke's name) and it fits to the partner of Baihumon, the strongest of the Four Holy Beasts]]. The "go" in his name is possibly a pun to "go" ("five"), which might be a reference to [[spoiler:the original five Chosen Children he belonged to]].

Meiko's Digimon partner, who is being targeted by Alphamon for an unknown reason. It's an odd, feline Adult Digimon with a color scheme resembling a tiger's coat and scarve-like tails it sometimes wraps around its head.

Its mutations are as follows:

** Meicoomon (Mutated), a feral and slightly bigger version of Meicoomon with longer claw and thicker fur as a result of its infection mutated.
* '''Perfect''': Meicrackmon: Vicious Mode, a humanoid cat that is about the size of human-like Digimon. It becomes much more aggressive in this form and it apparently accelerates the infection progress of other Digimon.
* '''Ultimate''': Raguelmon, a Fallen Angel Digimon who still keeps most of its animalistic characteristics of its pre-evolved forms.

* TheBerserker: Its Vicious Mode makes it an uncontrollable, rampaging lunatic, which becomes more aggressive as Meicrackmon.
* BigBadEnsemble: While being obviously used as a tool by [[spoiler:Yggdrasil]], it still isn't following their orders and it's more in direct conflict with the Chosen Children than anyone else. From ''Confession'' onwards, Meicoomon serves as one of ''tri.'s'' main antagonists alongside [[spoiler:Yggdrasil and Homeostasis until Ordinemon takes its role]].
* BigBadFriend: It's Meiko's partner, thus it's definitively emotionally mostly connected to her. The Chosen Children and their partners also view Meicoomon as their friend and try to stop and save it.

* DubNameChange: Certain dubs romanize its name as "Meikuumon".

* FaceHeelTurn: Following its abduction by Ken, it loses its trust in everybody, even Meiko. When it feels that Leomon might still be infected, it kills Leomon and escapes through another distortion, when Himekawa reveals that it's [[BigBad also responsible for the distortions and infections]].

Once Ordinemon perished he claimed Apocalymon's data from it before heading off to claim Diablomon and Daemon's data. Whatever his end goal is, involves collecting the data of the BigBad Digimon the Chosen Children had to face.]]
* IHaveYouNowMyPretty: Oh, yes. He pins Sora down and licks her cheek. He also [[NeckLift neck-lifts]] Meiko.

* BigBadEnsemble: While Yggdrasil is the primary antagonist, its TykeBomb Meicoomon is more of a WildCard than it should and also opposes the Chosen Children, but in a different way. [[spoiler:Homeostasis, which opposes Yggdrasil, also becomes one of the main antagonists once the Chosen Children have decided to not ally with it.]]

* UncertainDoom: [[spoiler:Daigo isn't sure what happened to Maki and isn't entirely certain if she is still alive after the reboot. While she did survive the Reboot, she was last seen entering the Dark Ocean, and hasn't been seen since.]]

In the dub, he ''is'' Gennai, corrupted by King Drasil to become 'Dark Gennai'. [[spoiler:''Our Future'' confirms that they're ''not'' the same person, as Gennai's silhouette can be seen along with those of the 02 Chosen Children in stasis pods.]]

* PettingZooPeople: Her Ultimate/Perfect form Meicrackmon assumes an anthropomorphic appearance and features visible breasts. Her Mega/Ultimate form Raguelmon is as straight-up CatFolk.

* ScaryShinyGlasses: She was first presented as a girl in the shadows holding her Meicoomon, with her glasses shining. She's actually a very shy girl.

* BadassBaritone: For a Child-level Digimon, Hackmon's voice is very deep.

* EvlIsHammy: In the first three movies, he appears relatively calm. Once he actually starts speaking to the kids, though, all bets are off.
