* AdaptationalHeroism: The Gerbemon trio in the original ''Adventure'' were minions to the Dark Master Pinocchimon, and actively attacked the heroes on command. Here, it's a heroic character driven by revenge for the deaths of his assistants that becomes fast friends with Koushiro.

* AdaptationalBadass: Zigzagged. Gerbemon isn't a terribly powerful Digimon and, in ''Adventure'', three of them are taken out by Lilimon, [=MetalGreymon=] and [=MetalGarurumon=]. For comedic effect, Gerbemon's Poop Bazooka attack does very little to stop [=MetalGreymon=]'s Giga Destroyer, simply getting knocked away with no resistance. [[LethalJokeCharacter However, it also has a black hole in its trashcan that can suck up unsuspecting foes, which it almost did to Hikari.]] Here, while Gerbemon doesn't do a lot of fighting, it's an inventor that wields a bazooka that shoots ''ice'' instead of poop, and its inventions go a long way in helping take down Raremon. In addition, according to the Digimon Analyzer segment focusing on Gerbemon, it still has the black hole but doesn't want Koushiro going in the trashcan to find out.

A Golemon who escaped from Gogmamon's castle with a group of Gottsumon. Initially fighting Mimi and Togemon thinking that they were spies, after the misunderstanding was solved Golemon became the 99th servant in Mimi's Kingdom. After defeating Gogmamon, Golemon was made Acting President by Mimi and placed in charge of Gogmamon's former castle.

* AdaptationalHeroism: Most Golemon that appeared in the past were depicted in antagonistic roles that the heroes had to deal with. That seemed to be the case again initially, but it's later revealed that Golemon is the leader of a group of Gottsumon that escaped slavery from a Gogmamon, and only pursued Mimi and Palmon because they thought those two were spies. After the misunderstanding is cleared, they gladly become Mimi's most loyal servant and works with her and the other Chosen Children to defeat Gogmamon and liberate all the Gottsumon.
* PullingThemselvesTogether: Being struck by Gogmamon shattered Golemon into pieces, but by the end of the episode the pieces had recombined and they were perfectly fine.
* RecoilBoost: Golemon can expel gas from the exhausts on their back. Golemon used it to propel themself at Gogmamon faster than they could run.
* RockMonster: Golemon's body consistent of rocks shaped into a humanoid form.
* WallCrawl: They're not the best at is as they kept sliding back down, but in their first appearance Golemon pursued Mimi and Palmon by climbing straight up a rock wall.

A bird-like Plant Digimon. Unlike most birds, although it can fly, it's far more used to being on the ground than flying. Initially there's only one, being the only one left of its kind to not be turned into a fruit yet by Tropiamon, but it happens to encounter Taichi and Sora, who helped it free its friends, and eventually it manages to do so during the commotion set by Taichi and Sora.

* BulletSeed: Its main method of attacking is Rapid Seed, a move where it spits countless seeds at high speed.
* {{Planimal}}: Specifically, it's the "plant that looks like an animal" variety, not the other way around, as pointed out by its official Digimon Reference Book profile.

A mutant Digimon that lives in a trashcan. Gerbemon is an inventor that Taichi and Koushiro meet, who aims to take revenge on Raremon for his Tyumon assistants' demises.

A group of five large canine Digimon that double as vehicles, awakened by Lopmon to help evacuate the residents of a forest. One stays behind to take Taichi, Sora, and Takeru to find Hikari.
