* ComicallyIneptHealing: Inherits this from Chapter 2 of Deltarune. It's a little stronger in serious battles, but still too weak for its cost to be reliable.

* GoodIsNotSoft: On the pacifist route [[spoiler:she fully admits that she was very, ''very'' tempted to murder the Underfell version of sans at the end of the fight, and outright questions Kris and Noelle if this version of sans deserves ''any'' mercy. Considering Underfell sans is a complete, unrelenting psychopath who gleefully admitted to murdering his world's version of Susie, it's not hard to blame her for questioning if sparing him was the right thing to do.]]

* LittleNo: [[spoiler: Her first reaction to attempting to kill the Lesser Dog on the Obliteration Route.]]

* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: [[spoiler: Temporarily pulls this on the group on an Obliteration Route after killing Snowy.]]

* YouKilledMyFather: In the worst ending of ''Undertale'', stabbing Flowey to death when Chara [[EveryoneHasStandards seen taken aback]] by him taking Asriel's form earns Frisk some praise for being a "great partner". In here, though, Gaster remarks that Chara resents Frisk and[=/=]or the SOUL for making them kill their brother and best friend.

* AmbiguousSituation: If you let him live, he will have dialogue after the credits of the V2 version of the game revealing that he's completely aware of what's going on in the events of the game, specifically mentioning "edgy trashbag," (WebAnimation/UnderfellRynoGG Sans), though the circumstances to how he knows this is currently unknown. Though his tweets on the Deltatraveler Twitter account implies that he's been secretly following them around (at least on runs where you ''didn't'' kill him).

* NothingLeftToDoButDie: The story explains that Gaster jumped into the CORE while holding Chara's indestructible Red SOUL as one last experiment before he passed from old age. The SOUL's effects left in scattered in time, immortal and omniscient but in a state of perpetual suffering.

* PoorCommunicationKills: In Hard Mode, she's suspicious of Susie due to her behavior and fearing that she'll attack Frisk tries to kill her. Fortunately, Frisk stands up for Susie and defends her until Toriel is more willing to listen to Susie.
* SparedByAdaptation: While you do get to fight her in Hard Mode, it's impossible to kill her even if you're going for the Obliteration Route. Attempting to defeat her by fighting will merely have her realize that it's unreasonable to attack Susie without context on her own.

One of the four essence holders of her world who knows psychic abilities known as PSI. She is found by the party in a cell in a house and assists them in finding the gray door. If the party massacres the animals in the surrounding area and members of Happy Happyism however...

* CriticalHit: Her Clean Pan will cause the "SMAAAASH!!" visual to appear if you get all four crits. [[spoiler:In her boss fight in the Obliteration Route, she will start hitting you with critical hits after you kill Ness. These critical hits consists of golden sparks which fly outward in a spinning circle before coming back together]].

* DuelingPlayerCharacters: [[spoiler:If you fulfill an Obliteration Route in Section 2, Paula will fight alongside Ness to punish you for your actions. One of her attacks even involves using "timed hits"]].

* TheGlovesComeOff: [[spoiler: After you've killed Ness, she looks in horror and tries to revive him, but to no avail. And then, after all that, she calls the team monsters and goes all-out on her attacks.]]

* RedMage: As a GuestStarPartyMember her PSI moves consists of two offensive spells, a defensive spell, and a healing spell. [[spoiler:As an Obliteration Route {{superboss}}, she has ''way'' more]].
* RobbingTheDead: [[spoiler:Killing her in the Obliteration Route grants you her frying pan as a weapon]].
* [[spoiler:SuperBoss: Fights alongside Ness if you go on an Obliteration Route and gets even more brutal when you kill Ness first]].

* CommonalityConnection: [[spoiler:During the fight against him and Paula, you can talk him out of fighting the party by having Kris discuss their lack of control over their own actions, leading to Ness, another PlayerCharacter, into sympathizing with them]].

* ComplexityAddiction: He can't just ''kill'' a human; it has to be a feat worthy of the Royal Guard! His love for traps is no end of annoyance for his version of sans, who would prefer to just [[WhyDontYouJustShootHim kill them and be done with it.]]

* TokenGoodTeammate: In a world where nearly everyone is psychotic, Papyrus claims to be a famed murderer but is still way too friendly to be considered truly evil. On a pacifist playthrough, [[spoiler:seeing how insane his version of sans has really become (to the point of ''almost pushing him off a cliff so he can get at Kris''), he ultimately gives up trying to be a royal guard and instead decides to do his best to make his version of the underground a better place to live.]]
* TheUnfought: You don't fight him on either path. [[spoiler:This is because sans gets fed up with his traps and tries to ''push him off a cliff'' so he can be the one to kill the group.]]

* AdaptationalWimp: Unlike Undertale's Sans, who has to be tired out through constant attacking and will not take any damage until the final hit, this Sans can be temporarily distracted, causing him to take the hits, which means it takes much less time for him to go down. And his attacks are a lot more predictable, which makes them easier to figure out how to deal with. That said, [[{{Downplayed}} his constant slaughter ]]''[[{{Downplayed}} has ]]''[[{{Downplayed}} tremendously raised his attack and health]], so his fight is still far from a cakewalk.

* CorruptedCharacterCopy: He's basically what sans would be if he bought into Flowey's belief that the Underground really is 'kill or be killed'. The result is a sans who has zero qualms with killing someone even if they don't truly deserve it, because that is simply the only way to survive as a monster. Ironically, despite having a higher LV, he's actually weaker than the canon sans, as his retribution doesn't tick off as much health as canon sans' does, and it only kicks in if the player is above a certain LV themselves.

* TheInsomniac: If what Underfell Papyrus says is true on the pacifist route, [[spoiler:Noelle using her sleep spell to put him to sleep is the first time in a ''very'' long while he's actually slept.]]
* ItsPersonal: We never know exactly ''[[NoodleIncident what]]'' caused this version of sans to become the way he is, but it apparently involved his version of Kris, Susie, and Noelle, and it caused him to ''utterly despise'' the versions we're playing as because of how much they remind them of them.

* TheCameo: You can only hear her muttering from behind the locked Ruins exit. From what little you can hear, you can tell that she's not in the right mind.

* ChekhovsGunman: If you spared Snowy, he will return during the feral Chilldrake fight to calm down his friend and end the battle. Notably, this is the only way to spare the feral Chilldrake as no one will arrive if Snowy's dead.

* {{Nerf}}: In episode 5 of GG!Underfell one of the Feraldrakes' bullet patterns is rather erratic, meaning that by the time you see a bullet coming your way, it's too late to dodge it. WordOfGod states that this attack was nerfed. It's also been mentioned that there's a way to spare them via [=ACTing=] unlike in the original series where hitting them is the only way to pacify them.

* BaitAndSwitchBoss / SacrificialLion / DroppedABridgeOnHim: Gets killed by the Katana Wielder below in the middle of it's first attack.

* EstablishingCharacterMoment: Straight up KILLS Glyde in a single attack in the middle of it's first turn, revealing that he isn't very harmless anymore.

* BreatherEpisode: After going through the world of Underfell, he mainly serves to give the player a light hearted breather that was the nightmare that was Underfell sans.
