He has a Magic Candy which causes Shiny Gem Jellies to appear in the ruins, which increase in point value with upgrades.

In Ovenbreak, her ability works the same way. However, she has Magic Candy which adds a fourth spirit which can create either more valuable Blackberry Jellies or Blackberry Potions. The chances of the fourth spirit creating Blackberry Potions and the amount of points Blackberry Jellies cost increase with upgrades.

The Song of Change destroys obstacles and transforms them into Jellies. The Song of Life restores her energy. With upgrades, the effects of her songs occur more often. In Ovenbreak, she instead needs to collect different-colored Song Jellies in order to use her songs; blue makes her sing the Song of Energy, red makes her sing the Song of Change, and yellow makes her sing the Song of Joy, which creates yellow Music Jellies instead of Coins. With upgrades, Song Jellies appear more frequently. She also has Magic Candy that turns regular Jellies into green Music Jellies for a short time after she collects a Song Jelly.

And as if that wasn't enough, once Roll Cake Cookie was caught yelling, "I ONLY WANTED TO BE A LOVABLE CAKE!" Perhaps the milked cow has a wild side, or the whipped cream was whipped too much? He can use his hammer at certain intervals, during which he can double jump and destroy obstacles. Destroying these obstacles creates Ingredient Jellies, and when he collects a certain number of Ingredient Jellies, he will get on his Road Roller and destroy even more obstacles. Upgrades decrease the number of Ingredient Jellies he needs to collect to summon the Road Roller. Ovenbreak gives him a magic candy that makes traffic signs appear in road roller mode, which can be destroyed for extra points.

Upgrades decrease the number of Snow Blossom Jellies needed to summon the Great Snow King. Ovenbreak gives them a Magic Candy that summons a Giant Snowflake Jelly when the Great Snow King ride ends. These jellies restore energy and give a large amounts of points.

While he surfs, he destroys obstacles and can collect jellies with ease. Upgrades increase the amount of time the waves last. He occasionally extracts juice from obstacles, rendering the obstacle capable of being harmlessly passed through and creating a flying juice droplet that restores a little bit of energy. After a certain amount of time, he transforms into a Juice Bat, which can fly and pass through obstacles. Upgrades allow him to transform more often.
