Even in the Second Age, where the Ponies do recognize them as aliens, they are called 'Extratellusians' instead of extraterrestrial on account of the planet being called 'Tellus' at the time.

** Next to the Wellsian Maretian Hives, Tellus fears and hates them the most for their brutality and viciousness during their [[{{Film/MarsAttacks}} attempted-conquest of Tellus back in 1961-2]]. Even in the 'Fourth Age', the mere thought that they're back was enough to make several recently ascended-and-returned members of the Virtuous Seven [[OhCrap anxious]]. [[spoiler:Although luckily Sweetheart's efforts back then managed to successfully [[HeelFaceTurn reform at least a sizeable part of the civilization into more peaceful and friendly culture]]]].

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: Their tech edge made their initial invasions particularly brutal and feared...but later, they lose that tech edge due to Tellus catching up or outpacing them. Unfortunately for them, that tech edge was literally their only advantage, as they're physically frail and weak compared to a Tellusian. As a result, their later incursions and invasions after they've lost their tech edge [[CurbstompBattle end very poorly for them.]]

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: The majority of their numbers are innocent civilians who have no real say in the invasion at all.

** The Chevalians evolved from nonsapient horses completely disconnected from Earth ''and'' Equus due to being on an isolated magical island and their uplifting was the result of magically influenced and accelerated but otherwise natural evolution as opposed to EG!Spike (who was magically made sapient and capable of speaking instantaneously). As a result, they speak a completely different language more similar to actual horses with radically different body language and no one would be able to understand them without Chevalia's PerceptionFilter granting anyone who can see them the ability to understand them.
** The translation effect doesn't apply to their ''written'' language, so Codex researchers have to manually translate it, resulting in their entry being somewhat spotty. One of the many Maretian races, the Enigmareans were reduced to refugees in space when a war against other Maretian civilizations devastated their own and crippled their people with mutation. Faced with a slow extinction and lacking resources, they nevertheless embarked on a great gamble to settle/conquer Tellus in order to rebuild their civilization and replenish their genepool, starting the Enigmareian Incursion of 1957.
