* HistoricalRelationshipOverhaul: Elvis married Priscilla both out of obligation toward a promise he made to Priscilla's father, and because Tom Parker believed it wouldn't be good PR if a bachelor like Elvis lived together with a fourteen-year-old girl. Unfortunately, their marriage deteriorated due to Elvis' philandering, drug abuse, and abusive behavior, and they ultimately divorced. Here, Blue Suede Heartstrings' relationship with Venerable Grace is much more amicable and pleasant, if a bit rocky due to the circumstances that brought them together -- Blue Suede was publicly outed as gay by his manager, Hollow Note, as punishment for resisting his {{Blackmail}} and married Venerable Grace for PR reasons. While he loved Venerable Grace, he didn't love her ''romantically'' and deeply regretted this. For her part, Venerable Grace sympathized with Blue Suede and wholeheartedly supported him knowing that he was being abused by Hollow Note. They still divorced, but on much better terms as Venerable Grace wanted Blue Suede to be happy with his male lover even if that meant she would never find love for herself.

Though here in the Codexverse, due to things turning out differently, she's portrayed as Blue Suede's ''first'' wife, as Blue Suede would end up courting both male and female partners over the Known Ages after becoming an Alicorn god.

** There are no term restrictions in Ponyland presidents: [[{{UsefulNotes/TheodoreRoosevelt}} President Theddeus Moosepelt]], by some unknown change in circumstances, served no less than FIVE terms in office where his RL counterpart served two and failed to get elected a third time. ** Music/ElvisPresley is hailed as a musical icon who changed the face of music forever, yet also derided as a joke who let himself get fat and destroyed his own legacy. Blue Suede Heartstrings (now [[MeaningfulRename King Caerulus Melodia Equestria-Corporatum]]) is essentially the Codexverse's Ponified version of Elvis who, as a result of [[ForWantOfANail changes in circumstances and choices]], became a 'prodigy' [[DeityOfHumanOrigin Alicorn god]] of Music, Humility, Performance, and Love instead. Eventually, through certain choices made on his part, Blue Suede grows as a stallion and eventually re-Ascends [[spoiler:as a reincarnation 'clone' of [[TheArchmage Mana Equus]], one of the [[TheOldGods Thirteen Empyreans]]]], turning him into an Alicorn god of Musical Magic, Self-Respect, Performance, Love, and Mana.

** It's noted that Blue Suede would have remained under his corrupt manager's hoof for the rest of his life had it not been for [[BigBrotherInstinct Bossa Nova]]'s meddling. Blue Suede himself acknowledged this, but the fact that Bossa Nova caused the abuse to worsen caused him to [[TheResenter resent]] his older twin brother for it until well into the Fourth Age.

It features a 120 mm electro-thermal automatic main cannon with 75 rounds of ammunition capable of [[MoreDakka firing up to 30 rounds per minute]] (under controlled conditions to prevent overheating and barrel-damage. Fire rate is variable and can be adjusted), guided by an advanced computer targeting system that can ensure most of the shots are dead on, while its secondary armaments include either a .50 Cal HMG with 1200 rounds and/or a freaking [[GatlingGood MINIGUN]] with 1500 rounds. A microfusion-powered 'Heavy Duty Accelerator' Drive system (with two pairs of rear extra-large accelerator wheels) which gives it several times the range and speed of RL modern tanks and an option to double the latter for short 'turbo-charges' bursts. Its sloped armour features layers of 'Composite Metal Foam' with lattice structure which confers several times normal protection from kinetic, thermal and mechanical damage than normal materials at only a fraction of the mass (contributing to an overall mass of tank at merely 55 tonnes), as well as a powered, smart-system integrated 'nano poly-ceramic' composite armour which confers extra protection through the energetically-magnified and computer-regulated properties of its ceramic nanoparticles (including those of dielectric, ferroelectric, pyroelectric, ferromagnetic, magneto-resistive, superconductive and electro-optical natures), and also painted with energy and kinetic-deflecting paint, making it highly durable to various forms of weapons fire and damage (The Patriot is not even considered the best among its peers in terms of protection, relying more on speed and firepower as per Ponyland military doctrine of the time).[[note]]Both the CMF and the ceramic nanoparticle composite based armour are not made up, but [[AluminumChristmasTree actually exists in real-life]] and currently in feasibility/rudimentary development for vehicular armour. The author [[ShownTheirWork Their adaptation in the Codexverse]] are justified in that because of the much more rapid technological development of the 'Second Age', some of them were already around for decades and had their properties exaggerated.[[/note]] And that's just the baseline variant.

* DomesticAbuse: She had the sheer misfortune of marrying a violent drunk like Sunny Mane, and was often terrorized by him even when he wasn't drunk. Despite this, she did her best to [[MamaBear protect her two sons]] from her abusive husband and called the police on him whenever things went too far.
* {{Forgiveness}}: Her oldest son, Sunny Field, eventually forgives her for not protecting him and Moon Ray from [[AbusiveParents their father]] enough, because even if she did try kicking Sunny Mane Vaughoof out of the house, the [[DeliberateValuesDissonance deeply misogynistic societal standards]] at the time meant no one would've taken her DomesticAbuse seriously.
* ForWantOfANail: Had she chosen to abort Moon Ray or give him up for adoption, history would have occurred very differently.
* GoodGirlsAvoidAbortion: To Sunny Mane's displeasure, she refused to abort Moon Ray or give him up for adoption when she unexpectedly became pregnant with their second son. While her religious upbringing was a factor, she also fell in love with the infant Moon Ray once he was born and resolve to keep him.
* KarmicJackpot: Her efforts in protecting her sons from her bad-tempered, alcoholic husband led to Moon Ray having a closer relationship with her than he does his father. When he was still alive, Moon Ray would do things for her like mow the lawn or buy groceries whenever he visits her in Gallas. And when she dies of old age, Moon Ray would personally show up to usher her into the appropriate Heaven-Realm.
* MamaBear: She tried protecting her sons, Moon Ray and Sunny Field, from Sunny Mane's abuse, but because DomesticAbuse wasn't taken very seriously at the time, she could never get rid of her abusive husband permanently. This leads to Sunny Field resenting her for not putting more effort in protecting him and Moon Ray, but later gains a better understanding of the circumstances involved postmortem and eventually forgives her. Moon Ray, on the other hand, is [[MommasBoy much closer to her]] because of her protectiveness even though he acknowledges that [[ParentsAsPeople she isn't perfect]].
* NoHistoricalFiguresWereHarmed: She's based on Martha Cook, the mother of Music/StevieRayVaughan. They even have "Cook" in their names.
* OutlivingOnesOffspring: She would end up outliving her youngest son, Moon Ray Vaughoof, who died in a helicopter accident following a concert in Wiscoltson as a result of factors like bad weather and Moon Ray's own impulsiveness. Her grief would be alleviated once she dies of old age and Moon Ray arrives to personally usher her into the appropriate Heaven-Realm.
* ParentsAsPeople: She loved her two sons dearly and did her best to protect them from their violent drunkard father. Despite her efforts, she could never keep her husband away from the house or divorce him. Understandably, her oldest son, Sunny Field, resented her for it, but eventually came to forgive her after learning of the circumstances postmortem. Unlike in RL, however, the psychological traumas of being tormented in childhood has a significant chance in creating dangerous threats in the form of [[SuperVillain supervillains]], whether it be [[SchoolyardBullyAllGrownUp the bully himself]] or [[StartOfDarkness the bullied victim]]. The problem of supervillains being created from bullying apparently became so bad Ponyland eventually resorted to this trope when dealing with bullies just to have the problem ''remotely'' contained. Starlight once stopped a school shooting by a student who was driven over the edge by bullying from the school principal's son. When said bully showed absolutely no remorse for his actions and even show ''hints'' of wanting to get back at the student and Starlight, the Ponyland authorities '''''[[ItsTheOnlyWayToBeSure IMMEDIATELY]]''''' ''[[SentencedToDownUnder shipped him]] to a PenalColony in the [[ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill ASTEROID BELT]]''. Keep in mind the bully is still [[KidsAreCruel a young colt]].

* TheCoup: [[spoiler:The 'Wall Street Coup' of 1940 nearly led to the overthrow of the legitimate government of President Knitted Moosepelt by a clique of reactionary business and military interests, who rather... disagreed with his socio-political and economic reforms to deal with the Great Depression, and wanted to replace Ponyland's democratic government with a [[OneNationUnderCopyright corporacratic]]-[[DayOfTheJackboot fascist]] junta loyal only to them[[note]]This is actually [[AluminumChristmasTrees based on something that apparently almost happened in real life to FDR, a conspiracy known as the 'Business Plot']], which unlike in the Codexverse never got off the ground[[/note]]. Luckily, they were defeated in a short time, although it would have [[SecondAmericanCivilWar lasting consequences]] to Ponyland's subsequent history]].

* DestructiveSavior: He didn't recapture Coltlanta from the Axis Powers and their Neo-Confederate collaborators -- he all but completely ''[[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/874687892/4931758780 levelled]]'' the damn place just to take out their forces within it.

* DeepSouth: Portrayed negatively for their institution of slavery and starting the First Ponyland Civil War to preserve it back in 1860-4. To the Codexverse writers both in- and out-universe, this is the [[SlaveryIsASpecialKindOfEvil more or]] [[TreacheryIsASpecialKindOfEvil less the]] [[EvilReactionary only thing]] [[YouBastards about them]] [[ThisIsUnforgivable which is]] [[OnceDoneNeverForgotten worth recording]].
** The DeepSouth received an almost [[HumiliationConga absurdly]] [[TraumaCongaLine horrible]] fate with the elaboration of what the [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/825935431/4888457073 Deep South Exclusion Zone]] which had been mentioned in many previous entries actually is and how it came to be. The bitter ending of the First Ponyland Civil War (between the Confederate leadership [[KarmaHoudini getting away with their crimes]] by [[WhatHappenedToTheMouse disappearing elsewhere]], and the Ponyland president, vice-president AND secretary of state [[KillEmAll all getting assassinated]] by vindictive Confederate loyalists) led to unhealed wounds and bitter resentment between the 'Southroner' Ponies and the rest of Ponyland and growing cultural and political divide in spite of their return to their union. Confederate revanchism became even more intense and long-lasting, to the point by the early 20th century the likes of KKK, descendants of the Southern Planters and outright Neo-Confederates dominated politics, while a vocal minority of the population larger than in RL which was raised by biased indoctrination into almost enthusiastic support for the 'Lost Cause' and persecution of the Zebras and other minorities. When the 'Wall Street Coup' offered them a chance to recreate the Confederacy in a fashion, the Deep South states' ruling elites supported the coup plotters and brought the states into fight on their side during the 'Second Ponyland Civil War', whether or not the rest of the states' population wanted to, with themselves and their supporters coalsating into a coherent extremist 'Neo-Confederate' movement. When Reichist Germaney launched a surprised invasion of Ponyland from the Gulf of Mexicolt during the 'Second Great War', those Neo-Confederates [[EveryoneHasStandards to the horror of many fellow Southroners]] welcomed them with open arms and joined their cause, gleefully committing many atrocities on Zebras, other minorities and even non-Southron Ponylanders. Even after the wars ended, die-hard neo-confederates insurgents' continued campaign of resistance and terrorism against the rest of Ponyland made efforts to reintegrate and rebuild the region nigh-impossible. All this caused something in the Ponylanders to finally ''[[RageBreakingPoint snap]]'', and post-1948 Ponyland basically evacuated all remaining loyal Southroners and nearly the entire Zebra population from the region, kicked most of the four Deep South states out of the country (with ''[[AndThereWasMuchRejoicing enthusiastic]]'' public support), quarantine them behind barbwire, minefields, fences, trenches and bunker-lines, suspend rule of law over the area and declare the entire region and everyone who haven't been evacuated or fled as hostile territory controlled by hostile forces respectively. With the DeepSouth already devastated by the second civil war and Reichist incursion, the Southroners would spent the much if not most of subsequent 'Great Wars Era' left to rot in one giant no-pony's land where they would degenerate into barbarism, anarchy and savagery, repeatedly and ruthlessly suppressed if they threaten Ponyland in anyway (including among other things repeated aerial bombings, special forces raids, forced population transfers, etc.), ''turn into [[WeaponsOfMassDestruction WMD]] [[ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill drop-zones]]'' for wars that Ponyland would be caught up in, etc., all leaving the entire region one desolated and depopulated ruin by the time the exclusion zone is dismantled and the region is finally returned into the union.

* HistoricalVillainUpgrade: "Colonel" Tom Parker ruthlessly manipulated and exploited Elvis Presley during his time as manager -- contributing to the latter's decline and death -- and was branded a "psychopath" by an army psychiatrist when he was a soldier. "Colonel" Hollow Note did almost everything his character inspiration did, but was also outright psychologically and emotionally abusive to Blue Suede Heartstrings despite knowing of Blue Suede's history and reputation as a sniper during the "Second Maretian-Tellusian War". Even in death, Hollow Note tried to get Blue Suede under his hoof once again, and when he's [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/875815844/4929834978 brought back to life as a Wraith]] three Ages later by [[PsychopathicManchild Mistletoe Dreamer]], he quickly uses the opportunity to torment Blue Suede and [[MakeWrongWhatOnceWentRight try to kill the latter's younger self]] for being supposedly left "high and dry" by his ex-client.

* {{Expy}}: He's Ponyland's counterpart to the RealLife Air General [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curtis_LeMay Curtis LeMay]], though he also draws inspiration from his [[{{Characters/TNOUSA}} TNO]] counterpart. He ended up serving as the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyndon_B._Johnson Lyndon B. Johnson]] of his implied reformist predecessor's [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_F._Kennedy John F. Kennedy]], pushing through many of the late president's reforms through his credibility as a WarHero and a war-winning president as well as hardnosed strong-arming those who opposed them.

* IronicName: His name 'Courteous' Flight didn't really reflect his aggressive and foul-mouthed temperament, though he was a ReasonableAuthorityFigure to an extent and an InternalReformist while he was president of Ponyland.

* ReasonableAuthorityFigure:

* ControlFreak: Much like Elvis' manager, "Colonel" Tom Parker, he was this to Blue Suede. While he turned Blue Suede into one of Ponyland's biggest stars, he also forced Blue Suede to perform constantly with little rest, socially isolated him from people who could've helped him, and stifled his musical creativity in favor of making money. He also psychologically abused and [[{{Gaslighting}} gaslit]] Blue Suede to make him even more dependent on him. At one point, he publicly outed Blue Suede as a gay Unicorn as punishment for resisting his {{Blackmail}}, then forced him into a marriage he didn't want under the pretense of "salvaging" his reputation. And he did all this because he was afraid of people discovering his own origins as an illegal immigrant from the Neighterlands. However, he [[DidntSeeThatComing overlooked multiple variables]] such as [[BigBrotherInstinct Bossa Nova]]'s meddling and Blue Suede's friends becoming aware of his sleazy character, and eventually his controlling behavior blew up in his face when Blue Suede [[RageBreakingPoint finally snapped]] and [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown beat him within an inch of his life]]. This sparks massive public interest in his personal life, leading to his history of abusive exploitation being uncovered, and him getting imprisoned for his crimes -- [[SelfFulfillingProphecy which is exactly what he was trying to avoid]]. That being said, his controlling behavior traumatized Blue Suede so much that he became a StepfordSmiler for ''three Ages'', essentially repeating the very actions that traumatized him in the first place.

* ControlFreak: Much like Elvis' manager, Tom Parker, he was this to Blue Suede. * GetOut: Ponyland in this universe did this to a ''significant portion'' of the Deep South after the 'Wall Street Coup', the 'Second Ponyland Civil War' and the 'Second Great War', having simply had ''[[RageBreakingPoint enough]]'' of them after the states and Pony population -- which had [[TheFarmerAndTheViper already attempted to secede and destroy the republic once before back in 1860-1864 with the Southron Confederacy]] and the 'First Ponyland Civil War' over slavery -- [[TreacheryIsASpecialKindOfEvil threw their allegiances to Coup Plotters]], and then [[UpToEleven to the freaking]] ''[[ANaziByAnyOtherName Reichists]]'' when Reichist Germaney launched a surprise incursion into Ponyland from the Gulf of Mexicolt in 1942, and even afterwards continued a campaign of insurgency and terrorism which made reintegration of the states and territories back into union nearly impossible. Ponyland responded by abandoning most of the offending states (except for important infrastructure and strategic locations), quarantine the region behind fences, barbwires, minefields and bunker, and simply let them descend into barbarism, anarchy and savagery within the 'Deep South Exclusion Zone' -- give or take a few aerial carpet bombings, special forces raids and forced population deportations whenever vindictive insurgents from that place cause trouble -- and using the Exclusion Zone as a [[ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill massive kill-zone for indiscriminate use]] of [[WeaponOfMassDestruction WMDs ordinances]] whenever [[AlienInvasion alien invaders]] or [[InvadedStatesOfAmerica foreign powers arrived]] and land in the [[SchmuckBait suspiciously-convenient undefended area]] to establish a bridgehead. It was not until during one of the presidencies of Lady Liberty a ''dozen generations'' after the fact they were reintegrated back into the union, but by then the whole region [[{{ApocalypseHow/Class0}} had became one giant desolated and depopulated ruin]], all traces of their once proud (and prejudiced) culture and society gone with the wind.

It features a 120 mm electro-thermal automatic main cannon with 75 rounds of ammunition capable of [[MoreDakka firing up to 30 rounds per minute]] (under controlled conditions to prevent overheating and barrel-damage. Fire rate is variable and can be adjusted), guided by an advanced computer targeting system that can ensure most of the shots are dead on, while its secondary armaments include either a .50 Cal HMG with 1200 rounds and/or a freaking [[GatlingGood MINIGUN]] with 1500 rounds. A microfusion-powered 'Heavy Duty Accelerator' Drive system (with two pairs of rear extra-large accelerator wheels) which gives it several times the range and speed of RL modern tanks and an option to double the latter for short 'turbo-charges' bursts. Its sloped armour features layers of 'Composite Metal Foam' with lattice structure which confers several times normal protection from kinetic, thermal and mechanical damage than normal materials at only a fraction of the mass (contributing to an overall mass of tank at merely 55 tonnes), as well as a powered, smart-system integrated 'nano poly-ceramic' composite armour which confers extra protection through the energetically-magnified and computer-regulated properties of its ceramic nanoparticles (including those of dielectric, ferroelectric, pyroelectric, ferromagnetic, magneto-resistive, superconductive and electro-optical natures), and also painted with energy and kinetic-deflecting paint, making it highly durable to various forms of weapons fire and damage (The Patriot is not even considered the best among its peers in terms of protection, relying more on speed and firepower as per Ponyland military doctrine of the time).[[note]]Both the CMF and the ceramic nanoparticle composite based armour are not made up, but [[AluminumChristmasTree actually exists in real-life]] and currently in feasibility/rudimentary development for vehicular armour. Prince Maestro I focuses on the overall well-being of his clients (including his mother, Melody, when she outlived her own agents), making sure they are supported and cared for throughout their entire careers so they could perform at their very best. To further the contrast, Maestro is a benevolent Alicorn god who embodies Agents and Honest Executives, whereas Hollow Note is a greedy, sociopathic mortal with a keen yet extremely ruthless business sense.

* PosthumousCharacter: Having lived during the early Second Age, he's long dead, but his actions influenced certain aspects of Blue Suede's personality and became a huge reason why Blue Suede went without psychiatric treatment for three Ages. And then [[BackFromTheDead he came back]] as a [[VengefulGhost vengeful Wraith]] courtesy of Mistletoe Dreamer, though it's a given that he was sent back to the Hell-realms after he and the rest of the Dark Ages Alliance were defeated.

* YouOweMe: He tried to invoke this with Blue Suede/Caerulus Melodia when he visits him in Malus Manes' Hell-Realms, claiming that Blue Suede's success was thanks to ''his'' management and he would be ''nothing'' without him. Blue Suede/Caerulus Melodia sees right through it and cuts him out of his life completely, leading to a VillainousBreakdown.

* KarmaHoudini: It's theorized InUniverse that he fled the Neighterlands in his youth to avoid punishment for a horrible crime, likely murder. He was also believed to have been behind Copper Wheel's fatal automobile accident due to the timing and Copper Wheel per when it happened. When he was arrested in Ponyland years later, the authorities couldn't find any proof for the supposed crime, but he nonetheless was punished for the crimes he committed while in Ponyland, including his abuse of Blue Suede Heartstrings.

* {{Blackmail}}: He tried using both Blue Suede's homosexual relationship with Record Beat and his existence as a Unicorn as blackmail to control and keep him under his hoof. When Blue Suede resisted, he 'punished' him by revealing the information he gathered to the public, causing many of Blue Suede's friends and fans to turn against him in bigotry-fueled disgust.

After he is arrested and imprisoned for several years for his crimes, Hollow Note spends his remaining money on [[BigEater food]] and gambilng, directly contributing to his death as he was suffering from health problems and the money could've paid for good medicaal services.

* KarmaHoudini: It's theorized InUniverse that he fled the Neighterlands in his youth to avoid punishment for a horrible crime, likely murder. * KarmicDeath: He eventually dies in his old age an impoverished stallion, his death caused by a myriad of health problems that he could have cured with good medical care had he not frivolously spent his money on gambling and food. By then, he has become such a hated stallion in Ponyland that ''no one'' mourns his death; Blue Suede Heartstrings, whom he abused for years, refuses to attend his funeral, and Venerable Grace, who attends the funeral on her husband's behalf, uses the opportunity to eviscerate him and his legacy with a scathing TheReasonYouSuckSpeech. He also attracts the ire of Blue Suede's parents and older twin brother upon dying; [[PapaWolf Copper Wheel Heartstrings]] in particular [[AndThisIsFor punches his face hard in retribution for how he treated his youngest son]].
* LackOfEmpathy: He ''can'' feel emotions, but as TheSociopath, he lacks the ability to experience, understand, or empathy for others. It's arguable that he did care for Blue Suede Heartstrings in his own way, but it wasn't enough for him to change, and whatever love he had for his client turned into a selfish, exploitative one. Shifa' Alhabi Moufette theorizes that he [[BelievingTheirOwnLies might have convinced himself that everything he did was in Blue Suede's interest]], contributing to the latter's abuse.

** His actions also leads to his family breaking apart: His wife Blooming Mott, whom he started distancing himself from following her showing signs of dementia, was taken away by concerned authorities and put into hospice care where she spent her last years in peace. His stepson, whom he shares an increasingly strained relationship with, disowns him as family upon learning of his crimes and travels overseas with his identical twin daughters, Half-Note and Sweet Notes, to raise them elsewhere. Half-Note and Sweet Notes also [[CallingTheOldManOut chew him out]] later when they meet him and he tries exploiting them for his own benefit, causing the twins to realize their grandfather never changed at all.

* MeaningfulName: "Hollow Note" refers to how his heart isn't really into music, instead focusing on the ruthless pursuit of financial gain and his exploitation of successful musicians, such as [[Music/ElvisPresley Blue Suede Heartstrings]].

Even after suffering a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown at the hooves of his abused client, and having his reputation all but torn to shreds afterwards, he still refused to acknowledge or learn from his mistakes. When Blue Suede visits his damned shade in the Hell-Realms three Ages later, he ''still'' hadn't learned a thing, and proceeded to blame Blue Suede for his current situation while conveniently ignoring that it was his own actions that landed him there. * AssholeVictim: While he's behind Blue Suede's rise as the greatest musician of the Second Age, he also psychologically abused Blue Suede for years and controlled almost every aspect of his life, eventually leading to his client being hospitalized for overworking himself. He also said to Blue Suede to his face that he saw the latter as nothing more than a source of income for him. Blue Suede, [[RageBreakingPoint pushed past his limits]], proceeds to [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown beat him within an inch of his life]]. After that, it all goes downhill for him, and thanks to Blue Suede's court testimonies, he essentially becomes [[HatedByAll a social pariah]]. His twin granddaughters, Half-Note and Sweet Notes, quickly disown him when they see his unpleasantness firsthand, and he dies shortly after unloved and unmourned, his fate brought upon by his [[BigEater huge appetite]] and poor spending habits.

* ForWantOfANail: If Bossa Nova hadn't manipulated things, he still would've kept Blue Suede Heartstrings stuck under his hoof for the rest of the musician's life, something that Blue himself acknowledges despite being initially mad at his twin brother for messing with his life. Bossa Nova was both horrified and enraged when he learned of this.
