She wants him to be strong enough to survive on his own in the harsh and unforgiving Digital World. It paid off but as the result their relationship is strained. From her pressing her face into her father's helmet, trying to fit into it like she used to be able to do as a Poyomon to her imitating Rain's technique ''"Spini!"'' and finally claiming Yaamon to be her ''"Huspin!"''.
* LikeFatherLikeSon: In this case like mother like daughter. In essence Meru is a mini Rain taking heavily after her mother from personality down to Digivolution path if Rain hasn't strayed from it by eating a Blue Apple and then fused with a Spirit.
* SuperGullible: When Yaamon tried to bully her by stealing her bow claiming to be his, not only didn't Meru protest but also happily believed in Yaamon's words.
