Whether or not he can do this with just about '''any''' deity is a question best left vague, since Invictus awakening would not be an incident one would lightly want to tread ground with...

* CyberneticsWillEatYourSoulCyberneticsWillEatYourSoul: Exactly how much of his body is cybernetic and how much is organic is often disputed even by those who should logically be able to point this out by a simple glance at him. The only consistency is one of Roy's hands being exposed constantly as cybernetic, but which hand it is often differs.

* HumanTraffickers: [[spoiler:Roy has loaned his services to utterly depraved individuals, even actual rapists, to hire him to capture women he would deem fit as their perfect match just for the purpose of using both participents as part of his HumanBreedingProject. He almost dragged Hikari away to such a fate, but Jadedramon's surprise entry ruined that bit. He oddly doesn't have this goal in mind for Meiko, though.]]

* PaedoHunt: Some of his targets were just children when he first locked onto them. However, he chose not to act sexually with any of them straight away; he viewed that to be boring and desperate if he actually did. He instead chose to try and weasel his way in and manipulate them into believing they're the only ones to blame when Roy inevitably ''does'' show up to them and rape them...

* {{Expy}}: Of [[VideoGame/{{Warcraft}} Gul'dan]].

* {{Irony}}: He's the much more specialized in technology out of himself and Grandis, and despite this, Grandis has much more easier access to valuable resources for experiments he's not prepared for, but the much more prepared Devoniak meanwhile has almost none of the valuable resources Grandis has by comparison.

* NonStandardCharacterDesign: He's one of the few human characters in ''Citadel Of The Heart'' to always be drawn with a nose; Kirigaya Ken was also drawn with a nose in his first pic, but that was for experimental purposes. [[note]]Megalodon also had a nose, but again it was experimental since Megalodon's mugshot was meant to be more realistic.[[/note]] Dr. Devoniak is always ''supposed'' to have a nose in his design, even though since it's also a SinisterSchnoz as well.

Added DiffLines:

* PragmaticVillainy: Main reason he doesn't use the Davy Crockett he has boils down to concerns about nuclear fallout against the target he's using it on. Either the target gets stronger from the radiation, or whatever valuable materials which could be salvaged from the target don't survive under radiation, or are atomized by the sheer blunt of the explosion before that. Dr. Devoniak is obsessed with making sure he can salvage specimens he targets, and he also wants to make sure none of his enemies get stronger than himself. Or perhaps more absurdly, having the Davy Crockett turned against himself by those who know how to cause the warhead to be forcefully redirected with Devoniak now at the epicenter. Granted even if ''that'' happened, Devoniak is radiation immune... but then again his equipment varies in that regard.

Added DiffLines:

** Creator/MF217 [[https://www.deviantart.com/mf217/status-update/21440620 mentions here]] as to why he hasn't had Dr. Devoniak appear directly yet; Dr. Devoniak as a character personally disgusts him so much in terms of his vileness to the point he'd rather write for other antagonistic or villainous characters since they're more fun to work with, whereas Devoniak is such a complete and utter killjoy it absolutely disturbs him with how much he can't write the way he normally does for virtually anyone else.

[[GoneHorriblyRight In hindsight they would've rather been proven wrong.]] Devoniak is borderline unkillable in hindsight because of his screwball genetics, leading to him having a natural undead phase in his lifecycle, even to the point that when reduced to a mummified skeleton missing a head and skull to boot, [[spoiler:'''''he's still very much alive and simply needs a proper skull to begin to regenerate normally as though nothing happened'''''.]]

* {{Ghostapo}}: He's very aligned with the supernatural arts, considering his ability to still influence the living world even after his demise. Considering he's also a former Nazi, this trope is in full play, although Dr. Devoniak being an undead warlock who exists in both modern ''and'' prehistoric times adds a twist to this.

However, as previously mentioned, Dr. Devoniak needs to carefully plan out his usage of it, since if he isn't 100% certain of the consequences nuclear fallout will have on his target, he won't use it. As for Dr. Devoniak himself, since he's already undead it doesn't adversely affect him.
