That said, he's tough but fair, and praises the other squad members. [[spoiler:His worst moment is when, in response to the Polish calling for a replacement radio operator, he sends ''one man'', Baron, and he only sent him because Command ordered him to send someone (and because he doesn't like Baron). Sending Baron without even a token escort means there was a good chance he wouldn't have made it to the Polish if he ran into even a small German patrol, which would have caused the Polish to have been wiped out due to being unable to call in artillery support]].
