Karasu gets paired up with Otoya as the leaders of Team B for the U-20 tryout matches. His unique ability of analyzing his opponents' strengths and weaknesses causes Karasu to fall into being more of a midfielder role that supports other teammates.

Despite that illness, he remains determined to become the best striker in the world. In the Third Selection, Yukimiya gets paired up with Nagi as the leaders of Team C for the U-20 tryout matches.

In the Neo EGOIST League, Yukimiya chooses to play for Germany's Bastard München team.

* {{Backstory}}: Chapter 172 delves into his backstory regarding the discovery that he has an optical illness, and his will to become the best striker in the world despite said illness.
* CoolShades: The defining feature of Yukimiya's character design is his single lens eye-goggles whenever he's playing football.
* ADayInTheLimelight: He starts to get more focus by the time of the Neo EGOIST League due to choosing to play for the same Bastard München team as Isagi.
** Isagi gave Yukimiya the opportunity to score the game-winning goal in the Bastard München vs. Manshine City match.

* GreenEyedMonster: Once the Neo EGOIST League gets going, Yukimiya starts to show jealousy towards Isagi due to how much attention the latter is getting despite the fact that Yukimiya is ranked higher. However, he gets over it during the match against Manshine City when Isagi provides him the moment to shine at the tail end of the game.
* JerkassToOne: Normally Yukimiya is amicable towards both his teammates and rivals alike, though he is shown to pick on Isagi a number of times as the latter has more attention than him despite ranking lower. This gradually goes off after the match with Manshine City, as he acknowledges Isagi as a WorthyRival, and apologizes to the latter for his actions.

** Following the Neo EGOIST League's Bastard München vs. Manshine City match, Yukimiya starts off with a ¥29,000,000 bid.
** Following the Neo EGOIST League's Bastard München vs. Ubers match, Yukimiya's bid is increased to ¥36,000,000.
* PrettyBoy: He's seen as quite the good looker to the point that all the chicks fawn over him. Yukimiya was also once sought after to become a male model because of his good looks, but he rejected going up in the modeling field due to his desire to become a star football player.

** After making it out of the Second Selection's starting 100 goal test, Yukimiya is named Blue Lock's Rank 23.
** By the end of the Second Selection, Yukimiya's named one of the six best Blue Lock players at Rank 5.
* TheRival: He develops a rivalry with Isagi during the Neo EGOIST League due to the growing [[GreenEyedMonster jealousy]] of seeing Isagi getting all the attention as teammates on Bastard München.
* SignatureMove: Has two.
** His dribbling excels in 1-on-1 situations far better than the other players at Blue Lock, even against his fellow top-6.
** His signature kick at the goal is a "Gyro Shot," a high-arcing kick with such a strong spin on it that it causes the ball's midair arc to turn really sharp. He later upgrades the kick into a much sharper arcing "Sword Screw" shot.
* TookALevelInBadass: His "Gyro Shot" upgrades to a "Sword Screw" shot at the tail end of the Bastard München vs. Manshine City match by implementing what he observed from Chris Prince's "Knuckleball" shot, and adding it to his own signature kick.
* WorthyRival: Seeing how Isagi continues to surpass his limits despite being "lower" than Yukimiya's ranking, as well as Isagi aiding Yukimiya score the winning goal against Manshine's team, causes Yukimiya to regard Isagi in a whole new respectful light, voicing out loud that the young striker is worthy of being his rival.
* YourDaysAreNumbered: A variant and a DownplayedTrope. Yukimiya suffers an optical illness that would render him blind in time. Unlike the case of Chigiri, Yukimiya knows that he is on the verge of becoming blind that not even his own prescriptions to slow it down could fully prevent it, and as such, Yukimiya wants to keep playing and reach his dream as a great football player before the day comes that his sight is robbed by his illness.

A striker introduced in the Third Selection who appears to be one of the lesser skilled players at Blue Lock. Nanase plays alongside Isagi during the Blue Lock vs. U-20 Japan tryout matches.

In the Neo EGOIST League, Nanase chooses to play for France's Paris X Gen team.

* AlliterativeName: Both his first and last name start with '''N'''.
* TheApprentice: As teammates on Paris X Gen, Nanase begs Rin to take the former in as an apprentice, and even swears to act as a passing support to Rin as the main striker. Rin doesn't agree at first since he doesn't view Nanase as a good player, but he starts to go along with it once he realizes that Nanase has the potential to be an ambidextrous player.
* CountryMouse: Nanase has a countrylike dialect when Isagi spoke to him in the original Japanese text, hinting that Nanase comes from the countryside of Japan.
* TheLoad: He's viewed as one of the weaker players at Blue Lock, which doesn't allow him to stand out much. That starts to change by the Neo EGOIST League when Rin notices that Nanase is ambidextrous.
* NiceGuy: He is friendly and supportive. Nanase's friendliness along with Hiori's calm nature has Isagi note at how refreshing it is with them after having to deal with hostile and cold players (Barou and Rin).

** Following the Neo EGOIST League's Paris X Gen vs. Manshine City match, Nanase starts off with a ¥3,000,000 bid.

* TookALevelInBadass: Rin helps train him up during the Neo EGOIST League, which is where Nanase discovers that he has the potential to be an ambidextrous player.
* UndyingLoyalty: In order to survive through the Neo EGOIST League, Nanase swears to loyally follow Rin as the latter's passing support on Paris X Gen.

!!Yo Hiori

A Blue Lock striker who was trained up to be a football prodigy by his parents, and played on the same youth team as Karasu before joining the program. Hiori's introduced in the Third Selection playing alongside Isagi during the Blue Lock vs. U-20 Japan tryout matches, which he shows off his really good passing skills. Despite his skills, Hiori remains disinterested in the sport as a result of his parents treating him as a tool to push forward their own goals, which Hiori decided to go to Blue Lock just to get away from them.

In the Neo EGOIST League, Hiori chooses to play for Germany's Bastard München team.

* AbusiveParents: Of the emotional variety. The poor kid only played soccer and got better at it because he wanted to please his parents. But it turns out they only conceived Hiroi in order to live through him because both of them are former atheletes who always scored second in life and want to experience being 1st place by proxy. His parents got into frequent fights about the other raising Hiori "wrong" and threatened to divorce each other if he didn't become a gold medal worthy player with Hiroi overhearing one particulary nasty fight and hearing all of this. When Hiori fell down the stairs as a result and hurt his foot, rather than acknowledging that their arguing inadvertently hurt their son, they panicked about his "worth" being affected. Hiori, at a young age, realized that his parents saw him as a ''tool'', not a person. After this his motivation for playing soccer then changed from pleasing his parents to simply trying to keep his family together. In the current story, Hiori has grown so sick of his parents that he can no longer stand their company and joined Blue Lock simply to ''get away from them''.
* {{Backstory}}: As described in chapter 206, Hiori is the product of two athletic parents, who got 2nd place in their respective fields, deciding to work Hiori to the bone to become a perfect football athlete. This path resulted in Hiori being completely disinterested in life as it's clear that he doesn't really like soccer. Especially after realizing that his parents don't see him as a son, but as a tool to push their own goals forward.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Like Isagi, Hiori is a pretty chill guy off the field. However, he does have a hidden disdain towards his own parents and he wishes that they were ''dead.''
* CharacterDevelopment: Hiori starts off as an unmotivated boy just using Blue Lock as a means to get away from his questionable parents. However, he starts to become more passionate towards playing football the more he watches Isagi's play throughout the series. By the time of the Neo EGOIST League, watching Isagi play football hypes Hiori up so much that it becomes his goal to make Isagi the King. Thus, finally giving Hiori a passion for the sport.

** Chapter 206 is all about him, which delves into Hiori's {{Backstory}}.
** In the Neo EGOIST League, Hiori's the player who gets focused on when he's finally subbed in near the end of the Germany's Bastard München vs. Italy's Ubers match. It's here that Hiori's UndyingLoyalty as a passing support to Isagi is truly established, which leads to Hiori making a crucial no-look pass that allows for Isagi to score the game-winning goal.
* DesperatelyLookingForAPurposeInLife: Even though his parents trained him up to be a football prodigy, he doesn't have much interest in the sport due to knowing how his parents just see him as a tool to push forward their own agendas. Thus, other than not wanting to live in his home with two parents that don't view him as a person (choosing to play at Blue Lock just to stay away from them), he questions what he actually wants to do in life.
* HyperAwareness: Hiori's visual senses are high to the point that he's another Metavision user, which allows him to see everything that's going on around the football field.

* NiceGuy: Like Nanase, he is established to be friendly and nice. Nanase's friendliness along with Hiori's calm nature has Isagi note at how refreshing it is with them after having to deal with hostile and cold players (Barou and Rin).

* ParentalNeglect: His parents don't treat him as a human being, but rather as a tool that they're molding into a perfect athlete. When Hiori injured his foot on the home staircase, his parents were more worried about the injury messing up his athletic skills rather than asking if their son's okay. He's become so annoyed by the expectations that his parents set for him regarding the need to become the best football player that Hiori would rather stay at Blue Lock than have to deal with his parents.

In the Neo EGOIST League, Shiguma chooses to play for Italy's Ubers team.

* AmbiguouslyBrown: Has a darker-skin tone compared to the rest of the cast. It's not specified where Shiguma's from.
* ADayInTheLimelight: He and Saramadara get a brief moment in the volume extras where Chigiri tries to talk with them before the tryout match against Isagi's team. However, Chigiri was unable to get along with them.
* MommasBoy: He takes his grandma's words to "not talk to strangers" to heart that he even does it at Blue Lock to not speak to Chigiri when the latter tries to introduce himself to Shiguma.
* OutOfFocus: Despite the hype of being picked for the Blue Lock vs. U-20 Japan tryout match against Isagi's team, Shiguma ended up not getting any moments to stand out during the game. Part of the issue is that Chigiri couldn't really get along with him before the match to work as teammates.

* TheBigGuy: Given his towering height, Ishikari fills this role for almost any team that he plays for.
* EarlyBirdCameo: Ishikari doesn't start getting moments on the field of playing football until the Third Selection. However, he can usually be seen in the background towering over everyone before then, such as in the very 1st chapter when the 300 high school strikers all arrive for Ego's opening speech.
* RankUp: After making it out of the Second Selection's starting 100 goal test, Ishikari is named Blue Lock's Rank 13.
* SignatureMove: His towering height over all other players allows him to have a reach that no other football player can pull off.

A striker that made it to the Third Selection, but was only ever seen in the background. Once the Neo EGOIST League rolls around, Kurona chooses to play for the same Bastard München team as Isagi. He's the first to accept Isagi as the main striker of the team, which results in Kurona becoming Isagi's main passing support throughout the Neo EGOIST League.
