* AmbiguouslyBi: She has a tendency to bring good-looking men into her bedroom, whenever she is upset, only to kill them afterwards. It is unknown if something happened inbetween. She likewise has some rather suggestive scenes with Giselle, but it is equally unknown how much of that is her own personality and how much the zombification process. Matters are complicated further through Giselle's AmbiguousGenderIdentity.

* TheFriendNobodyLikes: The other female Sternritter, with the exception of Giselle, who has some rather Yandere intense feelings for Bambietta, never really liked her and typically insulted her for how she acts when she casually kills men after using them. Once the second attack on Soul Society begins, they quickly split up rather than stick with her and don't truly care when Giselle kills her and makes Bambi into a zombie.

* AllThereInTheManual: According to extra pages detailing some of the Sternritter that were released with chapter 615 in Shonen Jump, Giselle is biologically male, but the material does not confirm for certain whether Giselle personally identifies as male or female. It is also unknown if those extra pages are accurate or not since they were made by Kubo's editorinstead of Kubo himself.

* AmbiguousGenderIdentity: Giselle presents herself as female, but Yumichika and Charlotte imply that Giselle may be male. It is not confirmed if they are right or wrong and whether Giselle identifies as female or not.
* AmbiguouslyGay: Giselle's interactions with Bambietta indicate that she likes women. The ambiguous part comes from Giselle's AmbiguousGenderIdentity.

Added DiffLines:

* FakingTheDead: After Zombie Kensei stabbed her, Giselle was able to convince Mayuri that she was truly dead. Giselle would later taunt him for that mistake.

Added DiffLines:

* VoodooZombie: Everything about Giselle is a based on the bokor from Voudon beliefs. Giselle is able to create zombies by spreading her blood and like in the original myth, Giselle's zombies can both be undead and reanimated through her blood or living and Brainwashed into slavery. Bambietta's pleads for something...unspecific is reminiscent of the addictitve effects of zombie powder. Like in the original myth Giselle is capable of both healing others and creating zombies. The batttle and use of Hitsugaya against Mayuri strongly resembled the zombification process of the original myth. Even Giselle's AmbiguousGenderIdentity is a reference to the two hands of the bokor, the male right hand that uses white magic to heal and the female left hand that uses black magic to create zombies.

* AmbiguousSituation: A more subtle example than usual. At first it seemed that he was killed by Grimmjow. But later, when Nel jumped into the Giftball to safe those inside, she sensed four different Reiatsu. At first it seems that she meant Urahara, Yoruichi, Grimmjow and Yuushiro, but then one remembers that Yuushiro was never inside the Giftball and last seen on the center platform in front of the castle, a location far away from Askin's Giftball. This consequently would mean that Askin was the fourth person and still not dead. It is thus unknown if Nel somehow saved Askin and whether or not he fell victim to Yhwach's second Auswahlen.

* MrExposition: Whenever we learn things about the Wandenreich, it is often through Askin. He informed for example the Shinigami and by extention the audience, how the Quincy escaped and created the Wandenreich 1000 years ago. He gave Ichigo informations about the other members of the Schutzstaffel. Askin also revealed, who the special war potentials and their criteria are and what exactly Yhwach's goal is.

* AmbiguousSituation: Her fate after Giselle smashed her head. While she looks noticeably limp and blank-faced, Giselle noted earlier that she is already dead. So even that may not have killed her. After the Auswahlen she was hugged by Giselle, who stated that Bambietta won't die, because she herself won't die. With Giselle's own fate being ambiguous, it's unknown what the actual status of Bambietta is.

* ExtremeDoormat: After her fight with Komamura concludes, Giselle turns her into a zombie, but it isn't until later that we learn Bambietta was reprogrammed into a submissive mess, literally salivating and begging for Giselle to give her something, apologizing when she gets physically abused by her new master, and begging Giselle to not be punished for making her "upset". Though Giselle states that she can't change the personality or free will of someone, who was zombified after death. Which would mean that this behavior is actually part of Bambietta's personality.

In this state, she's practically immortal, and every time she gets injured, she's next seen completely unscathed, with her once-torn clothes now completely intact as well. Giselle repeatedly points out that Bambietta is already dead, so no matter what happens, she can't truly die, even when Giselle splits her head open by slamming it onto a rock repeatedly.
** But ulitimately subverted. Despite everything Bambietta prefers being a zombie over actually dying for real. For Bambietta death is worse than being a zombie.

Sternritter "Z" of "The Zombie". A petite boy with quirky hair that's tied to make it look like he has antennae. He's a tad stranger than his other compatriots, publicly talking about whether or not someone's had sex without a care in the world, and generally acting flighty in the middle of battle. Despite this, he is capable of great sadism and cruelty and will turn upon his allies once they are down.

As "the Zombie" he possesses a powerful HealingFactor, making him very difficult to kill. He can also control anyone who comes into physical contact with his blood, making his victims a type of "zombie". Perhaps to reflect this, he also has a bone-themed bow.

* BewareTheSillyOnes: Giselle is a cheerful young man who likes to make silly faces and snark at his friends. He's also a ruthless fighter who is remorseless when forcing a bunch of Shinigami soldiers to kill themselves, and has no qualms about murdering his own teammates to gain access to their abilities, as with poor Bambietta.
* BloodMagic: Anyone his blood touches becomes a "corpse" under his control. Smaller amounts only work on weaker individuals, and they retain their sense of self. On stronger individuals, he needs to use more blood and it has to work its way through their bloodstream, causing their complexion to become dark red. These zombies are fanatically loyal to him and almost impossible to kill short of full vaporization. It can even revive the dead. Quincy can only be converted after death.
* Bokukko: While Bleach has its share, he's the first one to actually use boku. Given Yumichika's accusation of Giselle as actually being male, this may double as foreshadowing.
* CatSmile: His most common expression, highlighting his cheerfully mischievous (read: Sadist sadistic Troll troll) personality.
* ColdBloodedTorture: After Mayuri injures him in their confrontation, Giselle secludes himself into a cave with Bambietta. To rejuvenate himself, Giselle absorbs Bambietta's blood, which causes a great deal of pain to the latter. He decides to add to the pain by biting and pulling a chunk of Bambietta's skin (but doesn't rip it off). When Bambietta pleads with her master not to take so much blood, and says she doesn't wanna die from it, Giselle responds by repeatedly slamming Bambietta's head onto a rock while saying "You're already dead!" All he cared about was getting as much blood as possible, regardless of whether or not it was too much for Bambietta to handle (who was rendered incapacitated from it).
* CombatMedic: His abilities allow him to decompose corpses into new limbs to replace severed ones. As a result, he's the group's designated healer.
* CombatSadomasochist: States he got very turned on after killing Bambietta and zombifying the corpse.

Though these do irritate him, Giselle neither confirms nor denies it and continues to present himself as female. One of the extra pages confirms he is indeed biologically male.
* DeadpanSnarker: He's quick to push Candice's buttons, often making side comments that irritate the latter.
* DeliberateInjuryGambit: Since he needs to get his blood on opponents to control them, he deliberately goads his opponents into attacking, so the blood splatter will catch them. This backfires when he tries it on Ikkaku and Yumichika; they immediately recognize what he's trying to do, which forces him to fall back on someone he's already taken control of.

Sternritter "Z" of "The Zombie". A petite girl with quirky hair that's tied to make it look like she has antennae. She's a tad stranger than her other compatriots, publicly talking about whether or not someone's had sex without a care in the world, and generally acting flighty in the middle of battle. Despite this, she is capable of great sadism and cruelty and will turn upon her allies once they are down.

As "the Zombie" she possesses a powerful HealingFactor, making her very difficult to kill. She can also control anyone who comes into physical contact with her blood, making her victims a type of "zombie". Perhaps to reflect this, she also has a bone-themed bow.

* AntagonistAbilities: Her Zombie abilities are triggered by contact with her blood, which brings the target to a state of death/undeath and completely under her mental control if they were alive when contact was made. If they were dead, they're resurrected under her complete control. Giselle often entices people to slice her because her blood sprays onto them, bringing them under her control. Her HealingFactor is so great she's almost impossible to kill and instantly heals even lethal injuries.

When Bambietta pleads with her mistress not to take so much blood, and says she doesn't wanna die from it, Giselle responds by repeatedly slamming Bambietta's head onto a rock while saying "You're already dead!" All she cared about was getting as much blood as possible, regardless of whether or not it was too much for Bambietta to handle (who was rendered incapacitated from it).

* DeliberateInjuryGambit: Since she needs to get her blood on opponents to control them, she deliberately goads her opponents into attacking, so the blood splatter will catch them. This backfires when she tries it on Ikkaku and Yumichika; they immediately recognize what she's trying to do, which forces her to fall back on someone she's already taken control of.
