* StoryBreakerPower: Even for the standards of the Schrift and outside of them, The X-Axis is an exceptionally powerful ability. First off, its primary usage is an UnblockableAttack that cannot be conveniently dodged. And if triggered thrice, it renders Lille completely intangible. Physical attacks? Useless. Kido? IT does absolutely nothing. And after that, if Lille were to be somehow actually injured, he can simply regenerate into a more powerful form that is casually capable of city-wide level of destruction. It is very telling that the only way he was defeated at all was due to a very specialized tool specifically meant to deal with the divine.

* FromASingleCell: His Shrift. He is able to absorb reishi to regenerate parts of himself. It's so advanced, he's even able to regenerate a real body as apposed to the fake body that was created by Gremmy.

* TransNature: The plot of the short story "The Beginning of the Revive of Tomorrow" starts with Shaz trying to find information of the creation of the Hogyoku. His goal is to create one himself, so that he can turn from a Quincy to a Hollow/Quincy hybrid. He assumes that his regneration ability should prevent the resulting soul suicide.

Added DiffLines:

* UncertainDoom: [=BG9=] was last seen to be executed alongside Cang Du, but after Haschwalth injured Cang Du, the scene cut away. While it can be assumed that both died that way, several moments during the war hint that at least one of them survived.

* AmbiguousGender: Or rather ambiguous sex. Giselle presents herself as female, but Yumichika and Charlotte imply that Giselle may be male. It is not confirmed if they are right or wrong and Giselle's true sex is played as a mystery. In extra pages detailing some of the Sternritter that were released with chapter 615 in Shonen Jump, Giselle is confirmed to be biologically male.

* Bokukko: Giselle uses the word boku, which is a word normally used by men. It's not associated with people who have the more feminine appearance of Giselle. Both Yumichika and Charlotte separately identify Giselle as being male which enrages Giselle. It's strongly implied that Yumichika and Charlotte are correct about Giselle being male. Regardless of that, the use of "boku" does reflect Giselle's childish personality and behavior and her quite infantile mindset rather well.

* CreepyCrossdresser: Yumichika suggests that Giselle reeks of semen and so must be a man. Charlotte later makes a similar accusation. The accusations anger Giselle, who does not either confirm or deny it. Giselle continues to present as female regardless and dresses rather wholesomely.

* InSeriesNickname: Both Bambietta and Candice call Giselle Gigi. Mayuri later gives her the name zombie girl.

* PeoplePuppets: Those who come into contact with Giselle's blood are enslaved to Giselle's will and become "corpses" that are fully self-aware but unable to act of their own volition.

* PeoplePuppets: While the Zombie appears to be necromancy at first, it is essentially this. Giselle can control any flesh that has touched her blood, living or not, with the exception of Quincy flesh, which must be dead first, giving the impression of creating zombies. This is how she forces the Squad 11 members to commit suicide and is even able to transfer flesh to her comrades to heal wounds and restore limbs.

* AntagonistAbilities: Giselle's Zombie abilities are triggered via contact with her blood, so she entices her opponents to cut him ensuring they become covered in her blood. If they are alive when this contact happens, they are placed in a state of undeath allowing Giselle to control their minds. If they were dead, they're resurrected under Giselle's complete control. Giselle's HealingFactor is so great she's almost impossible to kill and instantly heals even lethal injuries.

* FaceOfAnAngelMindOfADemon: Giselle looks cute and innocent, but he is one of the most depraved characters in the entire series.

* HypocriticalHumor: Giselle denies being a sadist, but takes great pleasure in zombifying enemies and allies alike, even gleefully humiliating and abusing an undead Bambietta. She also notes that Bambietta is rather crazy, despite not being a paragon of sanity himself.

* UncertainDoom: The fight inside Askin's Giftball on the road leading towards the centre platform in front of the castle, appears to end in Askin's death. When Nel enters the Giftball to save those inside, she senses four different reiatsu. The only people implied to be inside the Giftball are Urahara, Yoruichi, Grimmjow and Askin, with Yuushirou implied to be outside the Giftball on the centre platform in front of the Giftball. This implies that Askin is the fourth reiatsu she senses inside the Giftball. When Yhwach later performs his second Auswählen there's no indication of whether or not Askin is included. Whether or not Askin died, and who killed him if he did, is therefore uncertain.
* UnsettlingGenderReveal: He mistakes Yuushiro for a girl only to learn that he is actually a guy. He doesn't really care though as they are enemies on the battlefield.
