* CompleteMonster: If you get in his way, he'll kill you for fun. If you're not in his way, he will pick a fight with you regardless. If you don't fight back, he'll physicaly torture you to death. If you are wounded and weak, he'll keep up the torture until he gets bored and finishes you off. While you're fighting him, he'll cheat his way into winning at every chance he sees. He wants to die in battle and highly enjoys beating the shit out of people that can't fight back in the meantime. And God help you if you're a woman not named Harribel.
** He's almost too pathetic for this trope to apply though, what with his inferiority complex, and obvious insanity. Heck, the anime managed to turn his death into a borderline AlasPoorVillain moment. To say the trope gets played with would be a good way to put it.
** Agreed. Moreover, in spite of his bloodthirsty nature, he does seem to care for his subordinate, Tesla, as seen when he warns him to get away from Kenpachi after sensing his power. The fact that he has feelings for others pretty much places him firmly outside the CompleteMonster category.

* EvilCounterpart: Similar in many ways to Kenpachi as a bloodthirsty, fight-loving psycho with the desire to fight strong enemies, although Nnoitra is strongly distinguished by his lecherous, petty, and arrogant nature. A visual parallel is also drawn with Nnoitra's eyepatch, which is later replaced with a scar identical to Kenpachi's after taking a strong slash to the face and chest.
** Most importantly, as stated above, Nnoitra is a DeathSeeker, while Kenpachi at least has sense enough to [[LetsGetDangerous get serious]] when his life is in danger, mainly because Kenpachi believes that dying would be too boring. Kenpachi fights for fun, Nnoitra out of self-loathing.
* FanNickname: Spoony, Spoonyspada... I could list all the variations, but there's no need to break the page again.

* WeakAssBadass: The recent databook release indicates that the Espada are ranked by Reiatsu, and Yammy's 0 rank comes from having the most when he releases since his power increases whenever he's angry. Unfortunately, this means Yammy has practically none of the special abilities that made the other 9 Espada (and Arrancar in general) so deadly, and as such Kenpachi and Byakuya have been manhandling him so far.

* Fridge Logic: How did she become a Vasto Lorde without killing no one? Grimmjow killed, at least, thousands of Hollows and never got past Adjuchas state. It's also shown she's not as strong as Vasto Lorde should be, as she refused to kill others, so how did she ever get past the Gillian state, then?

* DrJerk: Very cold and apathetic, especially to his son, so it's pretty hard to like anything about this guy.
