* BadBoss: The Dreadlord used to be a nobleman under her, but she proved to be this to the extent it's the whole reason he rebelled and founded the Shadow Court so he'd have an army to fight her.

Added DiffLines:

* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler: She realises that her mother is wrong in the finale of Book 2 and stabs her for the greater good]].

Added DiffLines:

* BigBad: Of Book 2, since her desire to conquer the Light Realm drives the plot of Raine having to seal the rifts to stop her.

Added DiffLines:

* HoistByHerOwnPetard: She created Valax for the sole purpose of doing her bidding. Guess who kills her at the end of Book 2?

Added DiffLines:

* BitchInSheepsClothing: Though she describes herself as kind and fair (and the texts support this), she's anything but. She fractured the original realm into two to retain her power and magic, talked the other Old Gods into supporting her, threatened to exterminate the dwarves for harboring the Mother of Grey (who disagreed with the plan), banished her to the Shadow Realm, created the Watcher to manipulate Raine into closing the rifts to ensure that the realms would be permanently separated, then killed him for failing her.

Added DiffLines:

* PsychoLesbian: According to one of the Lore Tablets, she and the Mother of Grey were said to be deeply in love. This didn't stop her from banishing the Mother of Grey to a hellish landscape for interfering with her plans.

[[folder: Nifara ('''SPOILERS''')]]
The God of Judgement and the High Queen of Elhalas.
* GreaterScopeVillain: She was the one who fractured the original realm into Light and Shadow out of her own selfish desire to remain all powerful forever and banished the Mother of Grey to the Shadow Realm for interfering. Because of this, the Mother of Grey became corrupted into the Ash Empress, and the treatment of her people caused the Dreadlord to defect and form the Shadow Court. As such, she's responsible for the events of the series.
* TopGod: Though all six Old Gods shared leadership, the other five deferred to her judgement. She's called the High Queen for this reason.
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: She "unmakes" The Watcher for failing to successfully get Raine to close all of the rifts and permanently separate the two Realms.
