An organization led by Doji that serves as the main antagonist of the first season. Their goal is to use the power of the Forbidden Bey L-Drago to unleash on the world.

!!Doji

[[quoteright:248:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/doji1.jpg]]
[[caption-width-right:248:Now then, let's turn your beys into food for Ryuga as well, shall we?]]

The head of the Dark Nebula. His goal is to use Ryuga in order to take over the world.
----
* AnimalMotifs: His beyblade has a wolf motif.
* AssholeVictim: The fates he suffers at the hands of Ryuga are very brutal, but considering the fact that he always did the same to others (as well as his [[{{Sadist}} gleeful]] reaction when punishing others to the same fate), there's a good chance you won't feel sorry for him at all.
* BadassBookworm: An intelligent mastermind, and executive for Dark Nebula, prone to making [[{{TheSocialDarwinist}} power analogies,]] and is a powerful blader in his own right, able to overwhelm [[{{SmugSuper}} Kyoya,]] and even [[{{TheAce}} Phoenix.]]
* TheBadGuyWins: For all his thwarted plans, he did manage one true victory. [[spoiler: Getting revenge against Ryuga, having the last laugh in setting the stage for Ryuga’s downfall.]]
* BigBad: Of ''Fusion'' [[spoiler: and ''Shogun Steel''.]]
* BigBadDuumvirate: With Ryuga, until he betrays Doji.
* BigBadWannabe: In ''Fusion'' he was defeated and [[spoiler: supposedly]] killed by Ryuga when he no longer needed him.
* CastingAShadow: His bey is "Dark Wolf", and it has a finisher called Darkness Howling Blazer where he summons a shadow wolf and slams it into the enemy.
* DeathByAdaptation: [[spoiler: Is killed by Ryuga in the anime,]] but lived through it in the manga. This caused problems when the manga had him come back as a BigBad later on, requiring the anime to create Dr. Ziggurat to replace him. Subverted when [[spoiler: Doji returns on more than one occasion]]
* TheDeterminator: A villainous example. No matter what setbacks he faces, or [[{{LaserGuidedKarma}} punishment]] he brings on him, whether being crushed by his chandelier, semi-crippled, or even killed, he’ll almost always return and swear revenge. Lampshaded by Benkei
-->'''Benkei:''' This guy never gives up, does he?!
* TheDreaded: The most feared and dreaded man in the series, and he’s very proud of it.
* FauxAffablyEvil: Especially prominent in the first season. He maintains a calm, polite demeanor despite having no qualms about using Bladers as food for L-Drago.
* FourEyesZeroSoul: Wears a pair of glasses and is one of the villains Gingka must face.
* HatedByAll: He gets this many times:
** Near the end of ''Metal Fusion'', everyone has turned against him, including his own organization as a result of his oppressiveness and manipulation. It got so bad, that even ''Ryuga'' turned against him, [[spoiler: eventually killed him by sucking out his life energy]].
** In ''Metal Masters'', Dr. Ziggurat was also not very fond of him either, only seeing him as a pawn and pointed out that Doji lost sight of the true goal.
** In ''Metal Fury'', both Rago and Pluto seemed annoyed by his presence once and neither of them shed a tear over his apparent death.
* KarmicDeath: [[spoiler: Continuously sacrificing people to Ryuga and L-Drago to increase their power. In the end, [[EvilerThanThou Ryuga executes him by sucking out]] ''[[DevourTheDragon all]]'' [[DevourTheDragon of his.]]]]
* ManipulativeBastard: He comes off as very charismatic in an attempt to lure bladers onto his side, but isn't afraid to double-cross them when they fail him.
* NoodleIncident: Whatever was that caused his hatred of cacti is never explained properly. Yu doesn't seem to want to know either.
* NotQuiteDead: [[spoiler: After Ryuga left him for dead, Doji was thought to have stayed dead, but like everyone else, he was revived when Gingka defeated L-Drago. He went into hiding during the events of Masters. He returns in Fury as a servant of Rago and is seemingly killed again when Ryuga's Ultimate Move blasts him into a pit. THEN he comes back in Shogun Steel, his mind having been uploaded into Merci's system as his body was too damaged for him to live any longer.]]
* PutOnABus: He's completely absent from ''Metal Masters'' due to his fate at the end of ''Fusion''. He returns in ''Fury'' with a completely different look.
* SanitySlippage: Very much so after Phoenix defeats him and the giant chandelier collapses on him, nearly killing him. [[spoiler: He gets even worse as he realizes that Ryuga is about to kill him.]]
-->'''Doji:''' Just you wait [[spoiler: Ryo]]! No I'm not done yet! NOT YET! UUUURHAHAHAHAAA!
* SavageWolf: His bey is "Dark Wolf" after all.
* ScaryShinyGlasses: Sometimes his glasses turn a shiny white to show his villainy...
* SlasherSmile: Gives [[{{AxCrazy}} Ryuga]] a run for his money in this regard.
* TheSociopath: Takes immense pleasure in being FauxAffablyEvil and sadistic.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Orange Juice. He's almost never seen without it inside one of his glasses.
* TrueFinalBoss: [[spoiler:Doji is the final antagonist in the entire series. It turns out in ''Shogun Steel'' that while his body died, his mind was saved by Merci and he turns out to be the one behind DNA. The DNA letters standing for “Dark Nebula Again.”]]
* VillainHasAPoint: Doji may take unsettling [[{{Sadist}} pleasure]] in [[{{TheReasonYouSuck}} belittling Ryuga]] in Fury, but he’s absolutely correct that Ryuga screwed up everyone’s, including his own guarantee to defeat Nemesis for good. His taunting of Ryuga being way in over his head was also proven correct, as Ryuga couldn’t defeat Rago.
* VillainousFriendship: Appears to have an odd one with Yu. He's noticeably nicer to him compared to the other Dark Nebula members giving him toys, food and even caving in when he acts a bit bratty. He's even tried opening up a little to him by explaining his dislike of Cacti but naturally Yu doesn't care. It's only when Yu starts showing he's been influenced by Gingka in their rematch does he start to act hostile towards him.
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: He subjects the Dark Nebula bladers who lose at Battle Bladers to this treatment, feeding their beys and essentially their souls to Ryuga and L-Drago. Fitting, Ryuga [[{{LaserGuidedKarma}} “killed” him]] because, in his view, he didn't need his help to get more power anymore.

[[folder:Ryuga]]
!!Ryuga

The Dark Nebula's most powerful member. Ryuga wastes no time in toying with his opponents before crushing them easily while taunting them for thinking they ever had a chance. His goal is to make L-Drago the strongest bey there is.

[[folder:Reiji Mizuchi]]
!!Reiji Mizuchi
!!!Voiced By: Creator/AkenoWatanabe (Japanese), Creator/{{Brian Froud|Actor}} (English)
[[quoteright:280:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/reiji_beyblade.png]]

One of the most powerful members of the Dark Nebula as well as one of the only bladers to have a Dark Move other than Ryuga.
----
* TheAce: Not counting Ryuga, Reiji is the strongest blader of Dark Nebula as stated by Doji.
* AxCrazy: The ''only'' person during ''Fusion'' that can rival Ryuga in this regard! Reiji takes great pleasure in emotionally breaking down his opponents saying their fear brings him excitement.
* {{Bishonen}}: He's tall, slender and has sharp features, but the effect is somewhat undermined by his unhinged expressions.
* DeathByAThousandCuts: His specialty. Poison Serpent deals so little damage per hit that his enemies don't notice until they realize that it has literally chipped away at their Bey to the point of which Serpent can easily finish it.
* HatedByAll: By the time he fights Gingka in Battle Bladers, ''nobody'' cheers for him. When announced by the DJ, the crowd literally goes silent until he announces Gingka after him.
* HellBentForLeather: He wears leather pants, and has two leather belts tied around his waist.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: He loves instilling fear in his opponents and breaking their beys, which is visually represented by his opponents turning to stone. Gingka expresses no fear of him, which causes him to become consumed by fear himself to the point of turning to stone.
* {{Hypocrite}}: One trait that really defines his whole character is that he ''enjoys'' tormenting bladers and breaking his opponents' beys, even laughing maniacally when doing so. However, if the same were to be done to his own bey then he will '''not be happy'''.
* IAmNotLeftHanded: His two [[CurbstompBattle Curbstomp Battles]] against Kenta and Hyoma? That was him going ''easy''! He shows off his true power when he battles Gingka and he does not disappoint.
* LimpAndLivid: He has a sloppy posture and walk and never straightens his back, fitting his snake motif and adding to his unsettling presence.
* MeaningfulAppearance: His eyes are normally covered by his bangs, and only become visible when he starts openly expressing his bloodlust.
* {{Medusa}}: His bey has this motif as it appears that he can turn his opponents to stone.
* PoisonousPerson: Not in the literal sense, but his bey, Poison Serpent, has 10 rings that act like buzzsaws that slowly chips away at his opponent. It is often described as being "venom" that slowly weakens the bey.
* {{Sadist}}: Even more so than Ryuga as Reiji not only likes to crush his opponent's beys but does so [[ColdBloodedTorture slowly while, at the same time, trying to emotionally break them]].
* SlasherSmile: Very prone to sporting these especially when he starts to get serious.
* TakenForGranite: Apparently part of his power, though whether it's purely a visual metaphor of his opponents' fear is unknown. [[spoiler: He also turns to stone when he loses to Gingka .]]
* VillainousBreakdown:
** [[spoiler:During his fight with Kenta, Kenta manages to turn the tide on him. Reiji goes ''berserk'' and even keeps attacking Kenta's bey ''after'' it's already stopped spinning in a mad rage.]]
** [[spoiler:When Gingka delivers a ShutUpHannibal to him in their match and proves he isn't afraid of him, Reiji finds the tables turned and loses it completely, but in a different way than his previous breakdown. Instead of going berserk, he is ultimately becoming overwhelmed by his own fear to the point his TakenForGranite power is turned on him.]]

[[folder:Tetsuya Watarigani]]
!!Tetsuya Watarigani
!!!Voiced By: Kenichi Fujiwara (Japanese), Creator/ScottMcCord (English)
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tetsuya_9.png]]

A blader who is obsessed with crabs.
----
* AdaptationalBadass: In the ''Masters'' DS game. When faced with what is basically a Dino version of [[TheDreaded ''Ryuga'']], his response to being faced with said character is "I have the power to break you.". Even Gingka is impressed afterward.
* AnimalMotifs: Crabs of course. He even has a habit of "scuttling" around instead of walking like a normal person.
* BadassCape: He wouldn't exactly qualify as badass material, but that cape with a Crab cut in the back is undeniably awesome.
* {{Bowdlerise}}: The original version of his beyblade is mad cancer
* TheBeastmaster: Genuinely seems to be a outright master of crabs, no tricks or anything. Hell, it's even implied he uses them to outright KILL his former friend and the person who caused his descent into madness.
* ButtMonkey: Never really catches a break and is always treated as a nuisance by both the good and bad guys.
* CombatPragmatist: Is downright infamous in the series for being this. Almost ''all'' of his only wins in the series are the result of him cheating his way to victory.
* DemotedToExtra: In ''Masters''.
* DirtyCoward: Big time.
* EtTuBrute: Why did he join Dark Nebula? A friend of his threw him under the bus. He then exacts revenge on him.
* FaceHeelTurn: Joined the Dark Nebula. Although, it ended badly for him.
* FreudianExcuse: Being betrayed by a friend.
* HarmlessVillain: Especially compared to the majority of the antagonists in the series, Tetsuya is a threat to no one but himself. Even if it seemed like he took a level in badass after acquiring Dark Gasher, Tetsuya is still treated as a joke.
* MidSeasonUpgrade: When he joined the Dark Nebula, Doji used a bey remodel system to upgrade it to Dark Gasher.
* LaughablyEvil: A big time cheater that loves nothing more than to cause trouble for others, but is by far the funniest character in the entire series!
* PluckyComicRelief: Even after joining Dark Nebula and getting his Gasher enhanced, Tetsuya himself is always played for laughs. In fact, he is often used whenever something serious is about to happen in the series.
* VerbalTic: - Crab! ...And several other crab puns.

[[folder:Tobio Oike]]
!!Tobio Oike
!!!Voiced By: Creator/AkiraIshida (Japanese), Matthew Hawkins (English)
----
* ColdSniper: A crack shot in a gun and aiming with a Beyblade and has a cold demeanor.
* DemotedToExtra: In ''Masters''
** TheBusCameBack: He returned in Fury for the Sphere 360 and made cameos during the final battle.
* FaceHeelTurn: He turns good again though.
* ImprobableAimingSkills: A crack shot in a gun and aiming with a Beyblade.
* PetTheDog: Helping a kid against a pair of bullies.
* TheWorfEffect: Lost to Kyoya, then Gingka, then Benkei.

[[folder:Ryutaro Fukami]]
!!Ryutaro Fukami
!!!Voiced By: Hiro Yuki (Japanese) Shawn Meunier (English)
----
* BlowYouAway: His powers allow him to manipulate the air currents. This can cause Pisces to do a number of astonishing things such as phase through enemies, levitate, and even throw enemies around.
** MindRape: The air currents can affect the person's senses such as making them experience a rise or decrease in temperature. The sound of Pisces manipulating the air also causes physical pain.
* DemotedToExtra: In ''Masters''.
** TheBusCameBack: Returned in the finale as a few cameos.
* DudeLooksLikeALady: His long hair seems to have caused people to think he's a girl.
* FaceHeelTurn: Turns good again at the end.
* FacialMarkings
* {{Foreshadowing}}: He predicted that the world would end by the power of a dark beyblade (his vision had Ryuga"s L-Drago), but after Gingka defeats him, he realizes that Pegasus and Gingka would spread a new light. Even though he meant Ryuga's dark power, it also foreshadows [[spoiler: Gingka defeating Nemesis]].
* GracefulLoser: His final battle with Gingka as he accepts his fate.
* LargeHam: Overly dramatic in battle and speech.
* PlayingWithFire: His Blazing Inferno makes the opponent feel as if they're on fire.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Dan and Reiki]]
!!Dan and Reiki
----
* AnIcePerson: Offensive.
* MidSeasonUpgrade: Doji upgraded their Light Wheel Gemios beys into Evil Gemios.
* RedOniBlueOni: Color-reversed. Dan, the older twin in red, is usually calm and levelheaded. Reiki, the younger twin in blue, is more hasty and impatient.
* PlayingWithFire: They use fire as a defensive measure.
* TagTeamTwins: Usually appear together in battle.
* TheWorfEffect: They have never won a single battle.
* ThoseTwoGuys: They seem to be joined at the hip in terms of comedy.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Kuma Brothers]]
!!Kuma Brothers
!!!Voiced By: Creator/WataruTakagi (All of them, Japanese)
----
* BearsAreBadNews: Their names are taken from the Japanese word for "bear", their beyblades are based on a bear and they're members of Dark Nebula.
* TheBrute: Serve as the big muscle of the team.
* EvilCounterpart: Just like Yu serves as one for Kenta, this trio serves as one for Benkei. [[http://images.wikia.com/beyblade/images/c/cf/Kumasuke.jpg Kumasuke even passes as a lookalike for Benkei]]. The DS game has Benkei [[LampshadeHanging lampshading]] this.
* TerribleTrio: They're working for Dark Nebula as one of their troops.
* TheWorfEffect: They haven't won a single battle.
