\nNANI

Nani is a little girl that Depth Charge and Cybershark rescue shortly after arriving on Earth. Her entire family was killed when bandits set fire to their wagon, and along with her horse Thunderbeast, she was the only survivor. She doesn't seem too worried about it, however, since travelling with Depth Charge and Cybershark really helped her move on. She eventually moves in with Victoria and her family.

Tropes that apply to Nani:

* AdorablyPrecociousChild
* AngstWhatAngst: She doesn't seem too bothered about being the only one of her family to survive the bandit attack.
*BadAssAdorable: She kind of needs to be when travelling with two badass robots from another planet.
* BigBrotherWorship: In her eyes, Depth Charge and Cybershark are like the cool big brothers she never had.
** Though she still refers to Depth Charge as "Commander".
* FriendToAllLivingThings: You'd be hard pressed to find something or someone that she doesn't like. Heck, she doesn't even hate any of the Predacons.
* HappilyAdopted: She goes to live with Victoria and her family at the end of the series, prompting this exchange between Victoria and Cybershark.
-->Cybershark: Are you sure letting Nani live with you is a good idea? You don't think it's going to screw up the time stream?
-->Victoria: We've screwed the time stream up enough; one little thing won't hurt.

SAMANTHA
Samantha is a young girl that Stinkbomb befriends. Her brother was killed during the battle of Antietam, and she thinks that the Energon crystal she has will bring him back. What she doesn’t know is that her Energon crystal is just a normal stone, yet this still makes her a target for Spittor.

Tropes that apply to Samantha:
*AdorablyPrecociousChild: She’s an adorable nine year old girl with an attitude.
*AngstWhatAngst: She doesn’t seem too bothered by the fact that her brother is dead. She even acknowledges that she didn’t want to believe it at first.
*BigBrotherWorship: She views her big brother as a hero.
**With good reason, considering that he raised her after their parents died.
*TheCutie: Tigatron sure thinks so.
*DisappearedDad: Her father died shortly after she was born.
**MissingMom: So did her mother.
*TheWoobie: Her parents died after she was born, her brother went off to fight in the war and died at Antietam, she has to steal to survive, she's constantly bullied and berated by other kids her age, and she ends up targeted by Spittor because she thinks she has an Energon crystal. Needless to say, poor kid's gone through a lot for a nine year old.

SAMANTHA'S BROTHER

Samantha's older brother went off to join the Confederacy when the war began. The last anyone heard of him, he was killed during the battle of Antietam. Samantha wants to believe that he's alive, and if he isn't that the wishing crystals -- Energon -- will bring him back.

Tropes that apply to Samantha's Brother:

* BigBrotherHero: To Samantha. After all, [[ParentalAbandonment he spent a good chunk of their lives raising her after their parents died]].
* DeadAllAlong
* PosthumousCharacter

SHAWNA

Shauna is a little girl living in a coastal New Jersey town along with her mother. She's the daughter of her mother and a Native American man, the latter of whom went missing sometime before Shawna was born. Being part Native American, she has the innate ability to locate Energon, an ability which the Predacons seek to exploit.

Tropes that apply to Shawna:

* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: The reason she gravitates to the Maximals almost instantly. She even thinks Grimlock looks like a nicer [[DinosaursAreDragons dragon]] than Galvatron.
* BreakTheCutie: Her father went missing -- most likely killed -- she's bullied by the other kids in her home town, she and her mother have been alienated because of her being half Native American, she's held for at least a week by the Predacons as an Energon locator, she's forced to watch her the Maximals and Predacons tear her town apart during their battle, almost sees her own mother killed, and is nearly killed herself if not [[BigDamnHeroes for Grimlock's intervention]].
* DisappearedDad: Her father went MIA before she was born.
* IJustWantToBeNormal: Though given the world back then, and the fact that she's a Predacon target, that's not an easy task to accomplish.
* TheWoobie: See BreakTheCutie above.

SHAWNA'S MOTHER (JULIA)

After Shawna was born, her mother was shunned and just as berated as Shawna herself. This led to her [[DealWithTheDevil making a deal with Galvatron to let her go with the Predacons if it kept her safe]]. Needless to say, Galvatron didn't keep his word. After the battle, Shawna and her mother were slowly accepted back into the town, though it may take some time before things ever get to the way they want.

Tropes that apply to Shawna's Mother:

* AllThereInTheManual: Her name is never spoken by any of the characters; she's always just referred to as "Shawna's Mother". Her name is only ever said in the script.
* BreakTheCutie: She suffers just as much as Shawna.
* BullyingADragon: She's not afraid to give Galvatron a piece of her mind for going back on his word.
* DealWithTheDevil: She thinks the only way to keep Shawna safe is to hand her over to Galvatron and the Predacons. They don't keep their promise.
* IronWoobie: She takes a lot of abuse -- physical and mental -- from everyone around her because of her daughter.
* MamaBear: She'll tear you a new one for breaking her promise, even if you're a giant red dragon.

MONIQUE TAYLOR

Victoria's mother works at the local hospital. She's not as disapproving of Victoria's escapades as her husband is, but she still worries for her daughter's safety. She doesn't know what to make of the Transformers at first -- in fact, when Victoria tells everyone about them, she thinks Victoria might have been making the whole thing up. All she wants is her daughter to be safe. She also likes to give her goodies to give to the Maximals.

Tropes that apply to Monique Taylor:

* AdultFear: Imagine being a mother whose daughter is constantly traveling back and forth through time and you have no way of knowing if she's even still alive.
* HospitalHottie
* TeamMom: She treats any Maximals that visit like a member of the family, offering them a place to sleep for the night and more than once even cooking a meal for them. She also gives Victoria treats and medical supplies to take back to the Maximals on a regular basis.

DANIEL TAYLOR

Victoria's father is a welder at the local factory. We just never see him working there. Unlike his wife and son, he's much more disapproving of Victoria's time traveling escapades and more than once calls the Maximals out on letting her join their fight. That's not to say that he doesn't understand why she decided to take up the Maximal cause; he knows why, he just doesn't like it.

Tropes that apply to Daniel Taylor:

* AdultFear: Imagine being a father whose daughter is constantly traveling back and forth through time and you have no idea of knowing if she's even still alive.
* FullNameReveal: Towards Victoria; during the finale, he calls her by her full name, Victoria Elizabeth Taylor.
* GadgeteerGenius: He's constantly tinkering with something and helps the Maximals make a one-man sub for Victoria to take into the ruins of the old base.
* PapaBear: He's not afraid to give even Optimus Primal a piece of his mind about his daughter's escapades.

SHAUN TAYLOR

Shaun is Victoria's younger brother. Unlike his mom and dad, he thinks Victoria's adventures are the coolest things ever and wishes he could join her. He takes an almost immediate shine to the Maximals, particularly Dinobot, whom he comes to view as his hero. His Grandpa Joe got him a katana during a trip to Japan, which was used during the final battle by his sister.

Tropes that apply to Shaun Taylor:

* AnnoyingYoungerSibling: He can come off as this to Victoria, but she loves him nonetheless.
* AskAStupidQuestion: "Where's that bird dog thing? You didn't bring him with you?" Does it LOOK like it?
* BigBrotherWorship/BigSisterWorship: After hearing about her adventures, he comes to really look up to his big sister.
* ChekovsGun: The sword his Grandpa Joe got him sees use during the final battle.
* EverythingsBetterWithDinosaurs: Part of the reason he looks up to Dinobot.
* HeroWorship: Towards Dinobot. Dinobot finds it annoying.

WILLIAM

William was one of Jason's friends in the Union Army during the events of the second movie. The next time we see him, he's dying in a cave thanks to an attack by the Predacons.

Tropes that apply to William:

* DiedInYourArmsTonight: He dies while Optimus is holding him.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: He...had no character. He just existed to die and give Jason motivation.

Donald was one of Jason's friends in the Union Army during the events of the second movie. The next time we see him, he's been killed by the Predacons.

Tropes that apply to Donald:

* WeHardlyKnewYe: He...had no character. He just existed to die and give Jason motivation.

JEAN-LOUIS SEBAUGH

The main human villain of the third movie. He once harbored a secret crush on Natalie, but she fell for Cheetor instead. He spent the rest of his life seeking revenge. To that end, he sought out the Fountain of Youth and made the Elixer of Life to keep him young and help him live forever, at least until his vengeance has been sated. He makes a deal with the Predacons to get rid of all the Maximals in exchange for some Energon.

Tropes that apply to Jean-Louis:

* AffablyEvil: He can tell the occasional joke, but make no mistake, the man is out for blood.
* AllLoveIsUnrequited: He had a crush on Natalie, but she never returned his feelings. Why? Because she went for Cheetor. Thus kicking off the events of the movie.
* BigBad: Of the third movie.
* BigBadEnsemble: Makes a pact with the Predacons – he kills the Maximals in exchange for some Energon.
* CardCarryingVillain
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: The very first scene of the movie has him using his voodoo powers to kill some random person.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Scarem stabs him in the heart, leading to:

* RevengeBeforeReason: He wants so badly to get back at Cheetor for taking Natalie from him – despite the fact that Natalie never cared for this guy – that he sought out the Fountain of Youth to obtain the Elixer of Life, and then spent the last one hundred years searching for Cheetor.
* RasputinianDeath: Has an arm broken, shot through the knee with an arrow, has another leg broken, is beaten, and finally stabbed in the heart.
* StalkerWithACrush: Was one to Natalie.

JASON

Jason was a soldier for the Union Army. Because he carried an Energon as a good luck charm, he was targeted by the Predacons and roped into the Beast Wars. He’s also good friends with a few Native Americans. He was there to see Optimus be killed by a newly created Galvatron and joined in for the battle at a cluster of Energon crystals, which ended up costing him his life.

Tropes that apply to Jason:

* ActionBoy: He’s a soldier for the Union Army and isn’t afraid to take a few pot shots at a Predacon.
* ChekovsGun: His Energon crystal proves useful to both friend and foe twice later on in the series.
* ChekovsGunman
* DyingDeclarationOfLove: He seems like he’s giving one of these out, but [[WordOfGod he wasn’t. He was saying: “I can finally be with my friends in Heaven”]].
* GoodLuckCharm: He sees his Energon crystal – or as the humans call Energon, wishing crystals – as one.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Takes a large Energon crystal through the heart.
* KilledOffForReal: His death triggers something in Victoria.
* OhCrap: What other reaction would he have seeing a FUCKING DRAGON?!
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: He’s on the receiving end of one from Rattrap after Optimus dies.
--> Hey, kid, the Boss Monkey died so you could live to see another day. And you didn't know him like we did, so I suggest you shut up right now! We've been fighting the Predacons for eighty thousand years, and you've been fighting your war for about three years. Compared to the Beast Wars, that's nothing. Optimus has been there with us the whole time, leading us, fighting alongside us, and he gets snuffed out by a fire-breathing lizard! You lost a few friends, I get that, but we've seen friends drop like flies over the millennia, so you'd better start showing a little respect, you little piece of slag!

MAGMATRON

Magmatron is the villain of the first movie. He’s a bounty hunter hired by the Tripredacus Council to track down and apprehend or destroy Megatron. Along with his servant Razorbeast, he arrives on Earth and assumes the combined Beast Form of a Spinosaurus, a Quetzocoatlus, and an Elasmosaurus. His actions cause the Maximals and Predacons to join forces to defeat him. He’s killed at the end of the movie.

Tropes that apply to Magmatron:

* AffablyEvil: He can be when he wants to be. But that’s the key phrase: [[FauxAffablyEvil ‘’’When he wants to be’’’]].
* BadBoss: He’s constantly smacked Razorbeast around and berating him, though he [[SubvertedTrope does feel genuinely angry after Razorbeast is killed]].
* BadassBoast: Gives on when he meets Cheetor.
--> My name is Magmatron. Little Maximal Cub, let my blaster be my introduction!
* BigBad: Of the first movie.
* BountyHunter: He’s hired by the Tripredacus Council to apprehend or destroy Megatron.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: He implements this on Victoria by manipulating the Energon he makes her absorb.
* EnemyMine: Causes the Maximals and Predacons to join forces to defeat him.
* EverythingsBetterWithDinosaurs: Well, only one part of him is a dinosaur, and no, [[AvertedTrope everything is NOT better with him]].
* EvilIsBig: Very evil, and very big.
* EvilIsHammy: He comes off as subdued, but there’s hints that he can still ham it up.
* EvilSoundsDeep: He was written with Kevin Michael Richardson in mind.
* Expy: Shares the name of the BigBad from [[Anime/BeastWarsNeo Beast Wars Neo]].
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: He’s thrown into the lava pit made when [[TrashTheSet he destroyed]] [[DramaticIrony the Predacon base]].
* KilledOffForReal
* LargeAndInCharge: Very large, very in charge.
* MythologyGag: His last words before dying? [[WesternAnimation/TheTransformersTheMovie “Destiny. You cannot destroy my destiny.”]]
** [[LampshadeHanging Optimus even calls him a “Unicron wannabe”]].
*NearVillainVictory: He would have won [[BigDamnHeroes were it not for the intervention of]] [[EnemyMine Cheetor and Spittor]].
* NoSell: Most attacks can hardly scratch him. The only one who can stand up to face to face is Grimlock.
* TrashTheSet: He blows up the Predacon base in an attempt to kill the Maximals and the Predacons. He fails.

RAZORBEAST

Razorbeast is Magmatron’s loyal servant, despite the fact that Magmatron is always berating him and smacking him around. When they land on Earth, he assumes the Beast Form of a warthog. Partway through the events of the first movie, he’s killed by the combined efforts of Tigatron, Dinobot, Inferno, and Waspinator.

Tropes that apply to Razorbeast:

* ButtMonkey: To Magmatron. He’s still incredibly loyal despite this.
* TheChewToy: See ButtMonkey above.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: He may not be that tough, but he managed to hold his own against the combined efforts of two Maximals and two Predacons before he was killed…by '''WASPINATOR''', of all bots!
* KilledOffForReal
* OhCrap: Says a variation of this before getting blown up.

DEVON

Devon is a hunter who lives in a small town. He comes across Victoria and Stinkbomb after they survive the destruction of the Predacon base and nurses them back to health. After Victoria’s body is [[BrainwashedAndCrazy taken over by Magmatron]], he joins the Transformers, if only because he now finds himself mixed up in the fight with Magmatron.

Tropes that apply to Devon:

* BadassHunter: He’s got the pelts of most of his game on the walls of his hunting shack, and he uses his skills to find Cheetor and Spittor in the remains of the Predacon base during the finale.
* DinosaursAreDragons: He once refers to Grimlock as a dragon. [[InsistentTerminology Grimlock is quick to correct him]].
* FollowYourNose: As he puts it: “A good hunter must have a good sense of smell, otherwise he won’t be hunting for very long.”
* ImprobableWeaponUser: More like improbable use of a weapon. Then again, using a rifle as a lever does make a bit of sense.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: He just vanishes after the events of the first movie. The other characters don’t even mention him after this.
** [[WordOfGod He was going to be a recurring character, but he couldn’t be fit into the story after the first movie]].

HARDSHELL

His Beast Form is a rhinoceros beetle. He’s one the most bloodthirsty of the Insecticons and loves using that dagger of his. He’s killed by Victoria during the finale.

Tropes that apply to Hardshell:

* AnArmAndALeg: Victoria chops off an arm during their final fight.
* AxCrazy: Even more so than Kickback. This guy loves a good skirmish.
* BashBrothers: With the rest of the Insecticons.
* BigCreepyCrawlies: A rhinoceros beetle. Don’t want one of those things flying at you.
* BigEater: Just like the other two.
* Expy: Of [[WesternAnimation/TheTransformers G1’s]] Bombshell, with characteristics from [[WesternAnimation/TransformersPrime Transformers Prime’s]] Hardshell.
* HavingABlast: He’s got quite a few grenades at his disposal.
* IAmAHumanitarian: He and the other Insecticons would have eaten Victoria [[BigDamnHeroes were it not for Silverbolt’s sudden intervention]].
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Victoria runs him through during their final fight.

* DeathGlare: It's practically his neutral facial expression.
* EnemyMine: Teams up with the Maximals on two occasions -- fighting Magmatron and fighting the Panther King.

* PowerGlows: Briefly, when he first becomes a TransMetal-2.
* SmugSnake/SmugScarab

* YodaSpeak: His primary speech pattern.

SPITTOR

His Beast Form is a Costa Rican poison arrow frog. He's sly, cunning, manipulative, and more than anything, dangerous. His favorite pasttime seems to be tormenting Cheetor, even
bunr parents died shortly]] [[ConvenientlyAnOrphan after his death. One hundred years ago, he she was responsible for Natalie's death, even though he had been aiming at Cheetor. Not that that stopped him from pestering Cheetor, of course.

* CurbStompBattle: Cheetor delivers quite a few of these to him. He survives all but the last one.

SHARPSHOT

His Beast Form is a stag beetle. He's the leader of the Insecticons, three Decepticons who reconfigured themselves into Predacons. Being the leader of a smaller subgroup, they sometimes act independent of the other Predacons, sometimes in congruity.

PosthumousCharacter

[[folder:Movie Characters]]

MAGMATRON

Magmatron is the main villain of the first movie. He’s a Predacon bounty hunter hired by the Tripredacus Council to track down and either apprehend or destroy Megatron. Along with his servant Razorbeast, he tracks Megatron to Earth and assumes a massive Fuzor form consisting of three creatures – Spinosaurus, Quetzacoatlus, and Elasmosaurus. It’s thanks to him destroying the Predacon base that the Maximals and Predacons have to work together to eventually defeat him.

Tropes that apply to Magmatron:

* AffablyEvil: He comes off as polite when he wants to. But that’s the key phrase: [[FauxAffablyEvil When he wants to]].
* BadBoss: He’s constantly berating Razorbeast and slapping him around. Though he does get angry upon learning that Razorbeast was killed.
* BadassBoast: The first thing he says to Cheetor:
--> My name is Magmatron. Little Maximal cub, let my blaster be my introduction!
* BigBad: Of the first movie.
* BigBadEnsemble: He fabricates a story of wanting to help Megatron destroy the Maximals. Megatron learns the truth a few moments later.
* BFG: Well, it’s normal sized to him because he’s so large.
* BountyHunter
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: Pulls this on Victoria partway through the movie by manipulating the Energon in her body.
* CurbStompBattle: His first action upon arriving on Earth is to fight Cheetor. Cheetor doesn’t even scratch Magmatron, while Magamtron leaves Cheetor for dead.
* DeathGlare: Constantly seems to be giving these out to everyone he meets.
* EnemyMIne: He’s the reason the Maximals and Predacons team up.
* EverythingsBetterWithDinosaurs: Well, he’s only PART dinosaur, and no, everything is NOT better with him. [[AvertedTrope In fact, everything’s even worse with him]].
* EvilIsBigger: He’s evil, and he’s HUGE!
* EvilIsHammy: While he can ham it up sometimes, he’s more subdued than most examples.
* EvilSoundsDeep: He was written with Kevin Michael Richardson in mind.
* FantasticRacism: He hates Maximals and sees humans as creatures to display in a zoo.
* GeniusBruiser: He’s very intelligent and can deliver a serious beating.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: He’s killed at what’s left of the Predacon base, by being melted in the same lava that destroyed the place. Oh, and [[TrashTheSet he was responsible for that]].
* Jerkass
* KilledOffForReal: Melted in a pool of lava.
* LegacyCharacter: Of Magmatron from [[Anime/BeastWarsNeo Beast Wars Neo]].
* LargeAndInCharge: Only Grimlock can stand on equal grounds with him, and he’s got a very commanding presence.
* MixAndMatchCritters: [[EverythingsBetterWithDinosaurs Spinosaurus]], [[PteroSoarer Quetzocoatlus]], and Elasmosaurus.
* MythologyGag: His last words before being melted in a pool of lava? [[WesternAnimation/TheTransformersTheMovie “Destiny. You cannot destroy my destiny.”]] Optimus even calls him a “Unicron wannabe”.
* NearVillainVictory: He would have won if not for the [[BigDamnHeroes intervention of]] [[EnemyMine Spittor and Cheetor]].
* NoSell: Most attacks don’t even make him blink.
* PsychoForHire: [[SubvertedTrope Not psychotic, but certainly for hire]].
* RedEyesTakeWarning
* TrashTheSet: Destroys the Predacon Base so he can destroy both the Maximals and the Predacons at the same time.
* UndyingLoyalty: To the Tripredacus Council.
* WouldHurtAChild

RAZORBEAST

Razorbeast is Magmatron’s lackey of sorts. Upon arriving on Earth, he took on the Beast Form of a warthog. Despite the fact that [[BadBoss Magamatron is constantly beating him and berating him]], [[UndyingLoyalty he’s very loyal to his master]]. When the Maximals and Predacons team up, he’s quickly disposed of.

Tropes that apply to Razorbeast:

* ButtMonkey: To Magmatron.
** And he gets blown up thanks to a tag team of Rattrap and Waspinator. Wouldn’t have been so bad if WASPINATOR didn’t have a hand in it.
* CurbStompBattle: On the receiving end of one, courtesy of Rattrap, Waspinator, Inferno, and Dinobot.
* FauxAffablyEvil: He’s only polite to Magmatron. Maybe Megatron. Not so much to anyone else.
* KilledOffForReal: Blown up in the middle of the movie.
* LegacyCharacter: In the toyline for the original series, Razorbeast was a Maximal. Here, he’s a Predacon.
* OhCrap: Just before he dies.
* PigPeople: Turns into a warthog.
* UndyingLoyalty: Despite the way [[BadBoss that Magmatron treats him]], he’s still very loyal and will give his life to his master if he has to.
* WouldHurtAChild: He doesn’t get a chance to, though.

DEVON

Devon is a hunter who finds Victoria after the Predacon Base is destroyed. He nursed her back to health, but was attacked when [[BrainwashedAndCrazy Magmatron took control of her]]. Sure, he survived, and even he knew that Victoria wasn’t herself. He ends up helping the Maximals and Predacons defeat Magmatron, [[WhatHappenedToTheMouse but after that, he never shows up again]].

Tropes that apply to Devon:

* BadassHunter: He’s implied to be one. Well, a hunter, anyway. We’re still on the fence about the badass part.
* CountryLiving: He’s a hunter who lives in a shack in a small town. He even uses some of his hunting skills while he and Victoria are looking for Cheetor and Spittor in the ruins of the Predacon Base.
* Determinator: Sure, he’s now dealing with transforming robots who could obliterate him in an instant if they so desired, but he still helps out. Why? Because he feels he has to.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: More like improbable use of a weapon; he uses his rifle as a lever to free Cheetor from some collapsed debris.
* RecurringCharacter: [[WhatCouldHaveBeen Was originally going to be one]], [[WordOfGod but he couldn’t be fitted into the story anywhere]].
* WeHardlyKnewYe: He’s only around for the last half of the first movie. After that….
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: After the events of the first movie, he just…vanishes. He isn’t even mentioned again.

JASON

Jason is a soldier for the Union Army. He’s upset that this war has been going on for so long, and considering that he’s been forced to kill friends and family and watch other people do the same, it’s no surprise that he feels that way. Because he has a small Energon crystal as a good luck charm, he becomes a target for the Predacons and meets up with the Maximals. Galvatron kills him in the final battle, though it was unintentional on Galvatron’s part.

Tropes that apply to Jason:

* Badass: A soldier for the Union Army, has survived the battles of Antietam and Gettysburg, and [[BadassUnintentional through no will of his own, ended up with the Maximals fighting the Predacons]].
* BadassUnintentional: Forces beyond his control caused him to join the Maximals in their fight against the Predacons and their new leader, Galvatron.
ChasteHero: Despite being in the Union Army, he hates the war and just wants it to end.
* ChekovsGun: His Energon crystal plays a part in the final battle.
* ChekovsGunman: [[PosthumousCharacter Even in death, he still proves helpful]], [[ChekovsGun by way of his Energon crystal]].
* DeadpanSnarker
* DiedInYourArmsTonight
* DyingDeclarationOfLove: Neither confirmed nor denied.
** [[WordOfGod Denied. He was going to say, “I can now be with my friends in Heaven”.]]
* FireForgedFriends: Implied with his friends William and Donald.
* FriendToAllLivingThings: Is actually friends with a few Native Americans. During the 1860’s, that was incredibly odd.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Takes a large Energon crystal through the heart. Not that Galvatron was aiming at him, of course.
* KilledOffForReal: Due to, well, you know.
* LegacyCharacter: In-universe; his Energon crystal becomes an integral part of the final battle.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: On the receiving end of one from Rattrap:
-->'''Rattrap''': Hey, kid, the Boss Monkey died so you could live to see another day. And you didn’t know him like we did, so I suggest you shut up right now! We’ve been fighting the Predacons for eighty thousand years, and you’ve been fighting your war for about three years. Compared to the Beast Wars, that’s nothing. Optimus has been there with us the whole time, leading us, fighting alongside us, and he gets snuffed out by a fire-breathing lizard! You lost a few friends, I get that, but we’ve seen friends drop like flies over the millennia, so you’d better start showing a little respect, you little piece of slag!
* WarIsHell: He certainly believes so.

JEAN-LOUS SEBAUGH

Jean-Louis is the main human villain of the third movie. He used to have a crush on Natalie one hundred years ago, but she fell for Cheetor instead. He’s spent the last one hundred years seeking his revenge. He found the Fountain of Youth and became versed in voodoo to achieve his goals. He makes a deal with Galvatron to kill all the Maximals in exchange for Galvatron’s stash of Energon.

Tropes that apply to Jean-Louis:

* AffablyEvil: He likes to joke around, but most of his jokes come off as BlackComedy.
* Ax-Crazy: There are shades that he’s becoming less and less stable as the movie progresses.
* BigBad: Of the third movie.
* BlackComedy: What his jokes come off as.
* ColdBloodedTorture: His use of voodoo on Victoria certainly counts. He probably would have killed her if not for Natalie’s intervention.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: The first scene of the third movie is him using voodoo to kill someone.
* EvilIsPetty: Come on, dude. So you lost your girl to another guy. Even if that guy is a robot that turns into a cheetah. But that’s no reason to seek revenge.
* Expy: Think a male version of the Dark Priestess Tsubaki.
* IfICantHaveYou: Jean-Louis had a crush on Natalie. She fell for Cheetor. So he opts to kill Cheetor out of [[EvilIsPetty revenge]].
* Immortality: He’s shown to have found the Fountain of Youth and created the Elixer of Life.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Scarem stabs him in the heart, finally killing him.
* KilledOffForReal
* MagnificentBastard: Tricks two Confederate soldiers into working for him. He kills them later when they learn the truth.
* OhCrap: When his spells aren’t working, when he’s about to get the tar beat out of him, and when the Insecticons come to possibly off him after his first battle with the Maximals. Yeah, he has this reaction.
* PotionsMaster/PoisonMaster: In addition to voodoo and having the Elixer of Life, he’s quite skilled at making potions and poisons.
* RasputinianDeath: Beaten, has his arm and one leg broken by Grimlock; gets an arrow through the knee; finally stabbed in the heart.
* RevengeBeforeReason: He’s spent the last one hundred years seeking revenge.
* TortureTechnician: It’s what he uses his voodoo for.
* Voodoo: And he knows how to use it, too. This makes him one of the most dangerous enemies the Maximals have faced, and he’s just a human.
* WouldHurtAChild/WouldHitAGirl: Comes dangerously close to killing Victoria with his voodoo. He gives her a pretty nasty beating later on.
* XanatosGambit: If the Maximals transform and attack him, Victoria dies. If they don’t attack him, Victoria dies. Either way, she dies.

NATALIE WATKINS

Nearly one hundred years before the start of the series, Natalie lived in a small town that was being occupied by the British Army -- this was before the Revolution broke out. She encountered the Maximals and Predacons after Scorponock attacked her for her Energon crystal, and it was Cheetor that rescued her. Over time, the two developed a romantic relationship together, which was quickly ended by Natalie's death at Spittor's hands. Spittor would later conjure her spirit back up to torment Cheetor, and she would continue to meet with Cheetor and guide him throughout the rest of the series.

Tropes that apply to Natalie:

* ActionGirl: No, not really.
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: She and Cheetor begin their relationship like this. It soon blossoms further than that.
* BloodlessCarnage: [[AvertedTrope Averted. Her death is described in incredibly graphic detail]].
* CallARabbitASmeerp: In her mind -- at least at first -- the Transformers are demons. She even tries to repel them with her cross and by reciting a prayer.
* DiedInYourArmsTonight: She dies as Cheetor holds her.
* DueToTheDead: Her death kicks off Cheetor's entire character arc.
* Expy: Of Kikyo.
* TheGhost: A literal ghost, conjured up by Spittor originally to torment Cheetor.
* GodSaveMe: She tries to repel the Maximals by reciting The Lord's Prayer. They just roll their eyes at her.
* InterspeciesRomance: With Cheetor
* KilledOffForReal: Physically, by Spittor.
* LoveMakesYouCrazy
* MacGuffinGirl: She's targeted by the Predacons for her Energon crystal. That's also the reason the Maximals want to protect her.
* MyGreatestFailure: Not being able to save her is this to Cheetor. She constantly tries to convince him otherwise.
* OhCrap: Has this expression when Spittor shoots her.
* PosthumousCharacter: Sure, her ghost starts popping up from time to time after Season One, but by the time the series starts, she's been dead for nearly a hundred years.
* ThePowerOfPrayer: She tries to repel the Maximals with this at first. But since they're not demons like she thinks, it doesn't work.
* RecurringCharacter: Though her ghost popping up from time to time after Season One.

LEVI JACKSON

A young soldier for the Union Army, under the command of General Sherman. He says he's on a secret mission to find out why the general in charge of a Confederate fort has gone insane -- we soon learn that the reason is because the general has been replaced by Spittor. He works with Cheetor and Victoria to not only solve this mystery, but also rescue a Native American woman named Timber Lily, whom he deeply cares for. He has a pet dog that he rescued.

Tropes that apply to Levi:

* AdmiringTheAbomination: It's not so much that he admires Spittor that he keeps Cheetor from killing him; it's more that he doesn't want there to be any more death than there already has been.
* Adorkable: Clumsy, stumbles over his words when talking to Timber Lily, and all around very likable.
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: One of the implied reasons why Timber Lily's father liked him among all other "pale faces".
* BigEater: He was hungry.
* ButtMonkey: Him falling down the hill [[Bookends at the start and]] [[AmusingInujuries end of the episode]] are PlayedForLaughs.
** Him constantly getting shot in the shoulder by Spittor is not.
* Determinator: Having two blaster wounds to the shoulder won't prevent him from at least trying to stop Spittor. As well as that, he tells Timber Lily that he would have deserted his unit and come to her rescue if he had to.
* FriendToAllLivingThings: Native Americans, the dog he has, and even to Spittor -- despite the fact that Spittor doesn't deserve it.
* OhCrap: [[WhatAnIdiot Yeah, maybe it wasn't a good idea to keep Cheetor from killing Spittor.]]
** Then again, Spittor fooled him into thinking he was the general, so it's not entirely Levi's fault.
* RomanticRival: It's implied that the fort general is one to him when it comes to Timber Lily.
** But as long as she's safe, he really doesn't care.
* TakingTheBullet: Attempts to do this to keep Cheetor from killing Spittor.
* TalkingTheMonsterToDeath: What he would rather do than spill more blood.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: He never appears after the episode he's in -- which also happens to be Spittor's debut episode. [[WordOfGod That's because he went back to his unit and continued to fight in the Civil War]].

TIMBER LILY

A Native American from up north who was brought down south to work for the soldiers of a Confederate fort. She became close to the general of the fort. After the general began to act strangely -- and by that we mean he was replaced with Spittor -- she began to fear for her life. It's implied that she has romantic feelings for Levi, though in the end she chooses the real fort general over him.

Tropes that apply to Timber Lily:

* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: She mentions that this is one of the reasons why Levi is the only one of the "pale faces" that her father actually likes.
* BreakTheCutie: Poor girl suffers a lot of mental abuse thanks to Spittor.
* CutenessProximity: She spends just as much time petting Levi's dog as she does actually talking to Levi.
* Faint: She collapses from shock after seeing Spittor for the first time.
* FriendToAllLivingThings: Except for the monster that replaced the general.
* IChooseToStay: It's implied, if not outright confirmed, that she stayed with the general after they saved him from Spittor.
* ImpliedLoveInterest: If not outright confirmed.
* InterspeciesRomance: The way she and Levi talk, and considering that they're of different races, it's more like INTERRACIAL romance.
* OhCrap: Her reaction after first seeing Spittor and after seeing Levi get shot...TWICE.

SAMANTHA

She's a little girl that the Maximals meet while on patrol for some Energon. She believes she has an Energon crystal -- or a wishing crystal, as the humans call them -- and thinks that it will bring her brother back to him, even if he IS dead. It turns out that she had a simple piece of quartz, but just thinking that she may have some Energon is enough for Spittor to target her. Stinkbomb makes it his mission to defend her from the Predacon, even if it means losing his life in the process.

Tropes that apply to Samantha:

* AngstWhatAngst: She seems totally unfazed that her brother may have been killed in the war.
* BigBrotherWorship: She deeply loves her big brother so much that she's willing to make a wish to bring him back from the dead if she has to.
* BigNo: Lets one out when Stinkbomb goes off to face Spittor alone.
* BreakTheCutie: It's clear that being alone for so long is affecting her, she just tries not to show it.
* BullyMagnet: The local bullies tend to hit her or make fun of her for her brother being dead.
* TheCutie: Even Tigatron thinks she's adorable.
* DeadAllAlong: She knows her brother's dead. She just didn't want to believe it.
* InterspeciesRomance: Implied with Stinkbomb. Then again, she's a little kid and he's the equivalent of a little kid, so they probably don't know how it works.
* ParentalAbandonment: [[DisappearedDad She tells Stinkbomb that]] [[MissingMom her parents died shortly]] [[ConvenientlyAnOrphan after she was born]].
* TheWoobie: Her parents died after she was born, her brother went off to fight in the war and died at Antietam, she has to steal to survive, she's constantly bullied and berated by other kids her age, and she ends up targeted by Spittor because she thinks she has an Energon crystal. Needless to say, poor kid's gone through a lot for a nine year old.

* BFG: Well, it’s normal sized to him because he’s so large.
* BountyHunter
* EvilIsBigger: He’s evil, and he’s HUGE!
* Jerkass
* RedEyesTakeWarning
* TrashTheSet: Destroys the Predacon Base so he can destroy both the Maximals and the Predacons at the same time.
* UndyingLoyalty: To the Tripredacus Council.
* WouldHurtAChild

* ButtMonkey: To Magmatron.

* DeadpanSnarker
* DiedInYourArmsTonight

* KilledOffForReal

* ActionGirl: No, not really.
* Expy: Of Kikyo.
* TheGhost: A literal ghost, conjured up by Spittor originally to torment Cheetor.
* GodSaveMe: She tries to repel the Maximals by reciting The Lord's Prayer. They just roll their eyes at her.
* InterspeciesRomance: With Cheetor
* KilledOffForReal: Physically, by Spittor.
* LoveMakesYouCrazy

* BigEater: He was hungry.
