Howie is a classmate of Victoria, Michelle, and Claudia, and for a while, Michelle and Claudia were trying to hook him and Victoria up. As one of Victoria’s closest friends, he shows great concern for her when she misses school and starts supporting her efforts after learning about her escapades.

* BullyingADragon: He’ll tell off someone like Dinobot...except he doesn’t know who Dinobot is at the time.
* HopelessSuitor: There are a few times where he actually tries to ask Victoria out. Something always gets in the way.
* MrFanservice: Michelle and Claudia at one point refer to him as “Howie The Mega Hunk”.
* NamedAfterSomebodyFamous: Does his name sound familiar? It should.

Silver Fox was a Native American princess who got lost in the woods with her guides and became a Wendigo after being forced to kill and eat her guides. Since the Wendigo is able to change its shape, it uses the Silver Fox disguise to lure unsuspecting victims into its lair, where it can then feast upon them. That’s not to say that Silver Fox isn’t fighting from the inside, and after the Wendigo is killed by Tigatron and Airrazor, she comes in spirit form to thank them personally.

* BodyHorror: Not only is the Wendigo repulsive, not only is its lair filled with the corpses of its victims – some corpses being very fresh – but Silver Fox’s transformation into the Wendigo is just painful to think about.
* BreakTheCutie: According to Tigatron, the Wendigo is a victim to its own addiction, and given the way Silver Fox acts, that’s not too far from the truth.
* DeathEqualsRedemption: Silver Fox can only be freed from the curse of the Wendigo by being killed by Tigatron and Airrazor.
* IKnowYoureInThereSomewhereFight: That’s what the entire fight with the Wendigo comes out to be.
* IAmAHumanitarian: The Wendigo feeds on human flesh because it’s a monster that was once a human turned cannibal.

* BlackEyesTakeWarning: His eyes are described as being black and demonic.

* ChekovsGun: His Energon crystal proves useful to both friend and foe twice later on in the series.

* AxCrazy: In his debut episode, Inferno tries to kill everybody he sees. Once he joins the Predacons, he mostly sticks the psychotic vilence to the Maximals.
* {{Badass}}: Inferno manages to hold his own against the toughest Maximals (and a few disloyal Predacons), even when some of them become Transmetals and he doesn't. It's how he keeps his spot as Megatron's/Galvatron's right-hand bot throughout the series.

** He also seems to have one with a human woman that he met some time ago, though he constantly threatens to kill her if she doesn't leave him alone. [[WouldntHitAGirl He never follows]] [[EvenEvilHasStandardss through with it.]]

* CantCatchUp: It doesn't really bother him that there's a bunr parents died shortly]] [[ConvenientlyAnOrphan after she was born]].
* TheWoobie: Her parents died after she was born, her brother went off to fight in the war and died at Antietam, she has to steal to survive, she's constantly bullied and berated by other kids her age, and she ends up targeted by Spittor because she thinks she has an Energon crystal. Needless to say, poor kid's gone through a lot for a nine year old.

SAMANTHA'S BROTHER

Samantha's older brother went off to join the Confederacy when the war began. The last anyone heard of him, he was killed during the battle of Antietam. Samantha wants to believe that he's alive, and if he isn't that the wishing crystals -- Energon -- will bring him back.

WILLIAM

William was one of Jason's friends in the Union Army during the events of the second movie. The next time we see him, he's dying in a cave thanks to an attack by the Predacons.

DONALD

Donald was one of Jason's friends in the Union Army during the events of the second movie. The next time we see him, he's bee killed by the Predacons.

SHAWNA

Shauna is a little girl living in a coastal New Jersey town along with her mother. She's the daughter of her mother and a Native American man, the latter of whom went missing sometime before Shawna was born. Being part Native American, she has the innate ability to locate Energon, an ability which the Predacons seek to exploit.

Tropes that apply to Shawna:

* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: The reason she gravitates to the Maximals almost instantly. She even thinks Grimlock looks like a nicer [[DinosaursAreDragons dragon]] than Galvatron.
* BreakTheCutie: Her father went missing -- most likely killed -- she's bullied by the other kids in her home town, she and her mother have been alienated because of her being half Native American, she's held for at least a week by the Predacons as an Energon locator, she's forced to watch her the Maximals and Predacons tear her town apart during their battle, almost sees her own mother killed, and is nearly killed herself if not [[BigDamnHeroes for Grimlock's intervention]].
* DisappearedDad: Her father went MIA before she was born.
* IJustWantToBeNormal: Though given the world back then, and the fact that she's a Predacon target, that's not an easy task to accomplish.
* TheWoobie: See BreakTheCutie above.

SHAWNA'S MOTHER (JULIA)

After Shawna was born, her mother was shunned and just as berated as Shawna herself. This led to her [[DealWithTheDevil making a deal with Galvatron to let her go with the Predacons if it kept her safe]]. Needless to say, Galvatron didn't keep his word. After the battle, Shawna and her mother were slowly accepted back into the town, though it may take some time before things ever get to the way they want.

Tropes that apply to Shawna's Mother:

* AllThereInTheManual: Her name is never spoken by any of the characters; she's always just referred to as "Shawna's Mother". Her name is only ever said in the script.
* BreakTheCutie: She suffers just as much as Shawna.
* BullyingADragon: She's not afraid to give Galvatron a piece of her mind for going back on his word.
* DealWithTheDevil: She thinks the only way to keep Shawna safe is to hand her over to Galvatron and the Predacons. They don't keep their promise.
* IronWoobie: She takes a lot of abuse -- physical and mental -- from everyone around her because of her daughter.
* MamaBear: She'll tear you a new one for breaking her promise, even if you're a giant red dragon.


MONIQUE TAYLOR

Victoria's mother works at the local hospital. She's not as disapproving of Victoria's escapades as her husband is, but she still worries for her daughter's safety. She doesn't know what to make of the Transformers at first -- in fact, when Victoria tells everyone about them, she thinks Victoria might have been making the whole thing up. All she wants is her daughter to be safe. She also likes to give her goodies to give to the Maximals.

Tropes that apply to Monique Taylor:

* AdultFear: Imagine being a mother whose daughter is constantly traveling back and forth through time and you have no way of knowing if she's even still alive.
* HospitalHottie
* TeamMom: She treats any Maximals that visit like a member of the family, offering them a place to sleep for the night and more than once even cooking a meal for them. She also gives Victoria treats and medical supplies to take back to the Maximals on a regular basis.

DANIEL TAYLOR

Victoria's father is a welder at the local factory. We just never see him working there. Unlike his wife and son, he's much more disapproving of Victoria's time traveling escapades and more than once calls the Maximals out on letting her join their fight. That's not to say that he doesn't understand why she decided to take up the Maximal cause; he knows why, he just doesn't like it.

Tropes that apply to Daniel Taylor:

* AdultFear: Imagine being a father whose daughter is constantly traveling back and forth through time and you have no idea of knowing if she's even still alive.
* FullNameReveal: Towards Victoria; during the finale, he calls her by her full name, Victoria Elizabeth Taylor.
* GadgeteerGenius: He's constantly tinkering with something and helps the Maximals make a one-man sub for Victoria to take into the ruins of the old base.
* PapaBear: He's not afraid to give even Optimus Primal a piece of his mind about his daughter's escapades.

SHAUN TAYLOR

Shaun is Victoria's younger brother. Unlike his mom and dad, he thinks Victoria's adventures are the coolest things ever and wishes he could join her. He takes an almost immediate shine to the Maximals, particularly Dinobot, whom he comes to view as his hero. His Grandpa Joe got him a katana during a trip to Japan, which was used during the final battle by his sister.

Tropes that apply to Shaun Taylor:

* AnnoyingYoungerSibling: He can come off as this to Victoria, but she loves him nonetheless.
* AskAStupidQuestion: "Where's that bird dog thing? You didn't bring him with you?" Does it LOOK like it?
* BigBrotherWorship/BigSisterWorship: After hearing about her adventures, he comes to really look up to his big sister.
* ChekovsGun: The sword his Grandpa Joe got him sees use during the final battle.
* EverythingsBetterWithDinosaurs: Part of the reason he looks up to Dinobot.
* HeroWorship: Towards Dinobot. Dinobot finds it annoying.

* CantCatchUp: It doesn't really bother him that there's a bunch of TransMetals and TransMetal-2s running around during the third season; he only allows himself to become one so he can better aid his lord Galvatron.
* DeathGlare: It's practically his neutral facial expression.
* EnemyMine: Teams up with the Maximals on two occasions -- fighting Magmatron and fighting the Panther King.
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: It's not that he can't; he's just so loyal to the Predacon cause he doesn't care about the difference.
* EyeScream: He stabs the Panther King in the eye with his scythes.
* HalfTheManHeUsedToBe: Dinobot slices him in half during the finale.
* [[ImplacableMan Implacable Robot]]: Not much can bring him down. It's his dedication to Megatron and later Galvatron that keeps him going.
* KilledOffForReal: In the finale, along with all the other Predacons.
* LeftInTheDust: He knows he's not as powerful as Galvatron or the TransMetals. He also doesn't give two slags.
* ManipulativeBastard: Rather than dissuade Rampage from attacking Tigerhawk -- though he did try for a moment -- he allows Rampage to do as he pleases, knowing that Tigerhawk can't kill him and that Galvatron will severely punish him for insubordination.
* PowerGlows: Briefly, when he first becomes a TransMetal-2.
* SmugSnake/SmugScarab
* SitcomArchNemesis: His rivalry with Inferno for Megatron's/Galvatron's praise isn't played for laughs, but at the same time, he's just happy to serve.
* UndyingLoyalty: He does exactly as Megatron, later Galvatron, asks without question.
* YodaSpeak: His primary speech pattern.


SPITTOR

His Beast Form is a Costa Rican poison arrow frog. He's sly, cunning, manipulative, and more than anything, dangerous. His favorite pasttime seems to be tormenting Cheetor, even after his death. One hundred years ago, he was responsible for Natalie's death, even though he had been aiming at Cheetor. He made Cheetor think he was dead, only to show up one hundred years later and continue tormenting the poor Maximal, until he was caught in an Energon explosion. Not that that stopped him from pestering Cheetor, of course.

* AxCrazy: A bit more subtle than most, but he certainly has shades of this.
* AccidentalMurder: He was aiming at Cheetor, but Natalie took the blast. Not like he cares; he's just happy he got to kill someone.
* ArmCannon: He has one that shoots lasers, one that shoots out noxious gas that can do various things, such as poisoning his target or causing them to hallucinate.
* BloodFeud: Between him and Cheetor after what happened with Natalie.
* BloodSport: He considers war to be this, and unlike most, who hate this sort of thing, he sees it as a chance to torment his enemies.
* ColdBloodedTorture: He enjoys mentally tormenting his enemies.
* CombatSadomasochist: Give him a chance to torment someone to the brink of insanity and he'll take it.
* CurbStompBattle: Cheetor delivers quite a few of these to him. He survives all but the last one.
* Determinator: He's been shot, stabbed, beaten, burned, thrown off of a cliff, and even killed, but that won't keep him down forever. He'll come back, even if he has to do it as a harmless ghost.
* EnemyMine: Reluctantly teams up with Cheetor at the end of the first movie to fight Magmatron.
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: Not like he wants to, the sadist.
* FauxAffablyEvil: OH SO MUCH! This guy can be scary sometimes.
* ForTheEvulz: Part of the reason he does what he does -- he gets a kick out of being evil.
* GoodIsDumb: He has this mentality.
* GratuitousSpanish: He speaks with a Spanish accent and sometimes puts Spanish words and phrases inot his speech.
** He was written with AntonioBanderas in mind, after all.
* HealingFactor: He seems to have one of these.
* Jerkass: He certainly can be.
* KilledOffForReal: Physically, yes, after he got caught in an Energon explosion.
* NotQuiteDead: How many times has he been seemingly killed and come back again?
* OhCrap: Just before Cheetor finally kills him.

SHARPSHOT

His Beast Form is a stag beetle. He's the leader of the Insecticons, three Decepticons who reconfigured themselves into Predacons. Being the leader of a smaller subgroup, they sometimes act independent of the other Predacons, sometimes in congruity.

* BashBrothers: With the rest of the Insecticons.
* BigBadCreepyCrawlies: He's a stag beetle.
* Determinator: It's hard to keep him down for long.

MAGMATRON

Magmatron is the main villain of the first movie. He’s a Predacon bounty hunter hired by the Tripredacus Council to track down and either apprehend or destroy Megatron. Along with his servant Razorbeast, he tracks Megatron to Earth and assumes a massive Fuzor form consisting of three creatures – Spinosaurus, Quetzacoatlus, and Elasmosaurus. It’s thanks to him destroying the Predacon base that the Maximals and Predacons have to work together to eventually defeat him.

Tropes that apply to Magmatron:

* AffablyEvil: He comes off as polite when he wants to. But that’s the key phrase: [[FauxAffablyEvil When he wants to]].
* BadBoss: He’s constantly berating Razorbeast and slapping him around. Though he does get angry upon learning that Razorbeast was killed.
* BadassBoast: The first thing he says to Cheetor:
--> My name is Magmatron. Little Maximal cub, let my blaster be my introduction!
* BigBad: Of the first movie.
* BigBadEnsemble: He fabricates a story of wanting to help Megatron destroy the Maximals. Megatron learns the truth a few moments later.
* BFG: Well, it’s normal sized to him because he’s so large.
* BountyHunter
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: Pulls this on Victoria partway through the movie by manipulating the Energon in her body.
* CurbStompBattle: His first action upon arriving on Earth is to fight Cheetor. Cheetor doesn’t even scratch Magmatron, while Magamtron leaves Cheetor for dead.
* DeathGlare: Constantly seems to be giving these out to everyone he meets.
* EnemyMIne: He’s the reason the Maximals and Predacons team up.

RAZORBEAST

Razorbeast is Magmatron’s lackey of sorts. Upon arriving on Earth, he took on the Beast Form of a warthog. Despite the fact that [[BadBoss Magamatron is constantly beating him and berating him]], [[UndyingLoyalty he’s very loyal to his master]]. When the Maximals and Predacons team up, he’s quickly disposed of.

Tropes that apply to Razorbeast:

* ButtMonkey: To Magmatron.
** And he gets blown up thanks to a tag team of Rattrap and Waspinator. Wouldn’t have been so bad if WASPINATOR didn’t have a hand in it.
* CurbStompBattle: On the receiving end of one, courtesy of Rattrap, Waspinator, Inferno, and Dinobot.
* FauxAffablyEvil: He’s only polite to Magmatron. Maybe Megatron. Not so much to anyone else.
* KilledOffForReal: Blown up in the middle of the movie.
* LegacyCharacter: In the toyline for the original series, Razorbeast was a Maximal. Here, he’s a Predacon.
* OhCrap: Just before he dies.
* PigPeople: Turns into a warthog.
* UndyingLoyalty: Despite the way [[BadBoss that Magmatron treats him]], he’s still very loyal and will give his life to his master if he has to.
* WouldHurtAChild: He doesn’t get a chance to, though.

DEVON

Devon is a hunter who finds Victoria after the Predacon Base is destroyed. He nursed her back to health, but was attacked when [[BrainwashedAndCrazy Magmatron took control of her]]. Sure, he survived, and even he knew that Victoria wasn’t herself. He ends up helping the Maximals and Predacons defeat Magmatron, [[WhatHappenedToTheMouse but after that, he never shows up again]].

Tropes that apply to Devon:

* BadassHunter: He’s implied to be one. Well, a hunter, anyway. We’re still on the fence about the badass part.
* CountryLiving: He’s a hunter who lives in a shack in a small town. He even uses some of his hunting skills while he and Victoria are looking for Cheetor and Spittor in the ruins of the Predacon Base.
* Determinator: Sure, he’s now dealing with transforming robots who could obliterate him in an instant if they so desired, but he still helps out. Why? Because he feels he has to.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: More like improbable use of a weapon; he uses his rifle as a lever to free Cheetor from some collapsed debris.
* RecurringCharacter: [[WhatCouldHaveBeen Was originally going to be one]], [[WordOfGod but he couldn’t be fitted into the story anywhere]].
* WeHardlyKnewYe: He’s only around for the last half of the first movie. After that….
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: After the events of the first movie, he just…vanishes. He isn’t even mentioned again.

JASON

Jason is a soldier for the Union Army. He’s upset that this war has been going on for so long, and considering that he’s been forced to kill friends and family and watch other people do the same, it’s no surprise that he feels that way. Because he has a small Energon crystal as a good luck charm, he becomes a target for the Predacons and meets up with the Maximals. Galvatron kills him in the final battle, though it was unintentional on Galvatron’s part.

Tropes that apply to Jason:

* Badass: A soldier for the Union Army, has survived the battles of Antietam and Gettysburg, and [[BadassUnintentional through no will of his own, ended up with the Maximals fighting the Predacons]].
* BadassUnintentional: Forces beyond his control caused him to join the Maximals in their fight against the Predacons and their new leader, Galvatron.
ChasteHero: Despite being in the Union Army, he hates the war and just wants it to end.
* ChekovsGun: His Energon crystal plays a part in the final battle.

NATALIE WATKINS

Nearly one hundred years before the start of the series, Natalie lived in a small town that was being occupied by the British Army -- this was before the Revolution broke out. She encountered the Maximals and Predacons after Scorponock attacked her for her Energon crystal, and it was Cheetor that rescued her. Over time, the two developed a romantic relationship together, which was quickly ended by Natalie's death at Spittor's hands. Spittor would later conjure her spirit back up to torment Cheetor, and she would continue to meet with Cheetor and guide him throughout the rest of the series.

He works with Cheetor and Victoria to not only solve this mystery, but also rescue a Native American woman named Timber Lily, whom he deeply cares for. He has a pet dog that he rescued.

Tropes that apply to Levi:

* AdmiringTheAbomination: It's not so much that he admires Spittor that he keeps Cheetor from killing him; it's more that he doesn't want there to be any more death than there already has been.
* Adorkable: Clumsy, stumbles over his words when talking to Timber Lily, and all around very likable.
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: One of the implied reasons why Timber Lily's father liked him among all other "pale faces".

It's implied that she has romantic feelings for Levi, though in the end she chooses the real fort general over him.

It turns out that she had a simple piece of quartz, but just thinking that she may have some Energon is enough for Spittor to target her. Stinkbomb makes it his mission to defend her from the Predacon, even if it means losing his life in the process.
