* CoolLoser: Despite going 0-4 for the second year in a row, Kraken remains beloved by the viewer base and the production, constantly appearing in promotional material and the Destructathon showings.

* BadassDecay: Valkyrie hasn't been living up to its stellar reputation so far this year, winning only against Mammoth in a disappointing display and then losing to both Banshee and Malice in judges' decisions (albeit appealed).

* FromNobodyToNightmare: While a respected veteran team, HUGE's record over the last few seasons had left Jonathan Schultz contemplating retiring the design and questioning its viability, and many fans did not give HUGE much of a chance this season. Cue the team going on an absolute rampage courtesy of Jonathan's improved piloting skills, demolishing all in their path to ultimately claim second place and cement the robot's place in ''[=BattleBots=]'' history.

* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: Throughout the season, HUGE defeated a murderers row of opponents flawlessly, completely overwhelming top-tier bots one after another. It wasn't until Skorpios and Mad Catter that HUGE actually took any notable damage (while still brutalizing them both and decisively KO'ing the former while winning a convincing JD over the latter), and it took the eventual champion to finally stop them in a razor close fight that HUGE was initially winning.

* LongRunner: One of only four bots to star in every season of the reboot, along with Captain Shredderator, Hypershock, and Witch Doctor. Hutson and his Mutant Robots team are the only competitors to appear in every season of ''[=Battlebots=]'' overall, dating back to the original run on Comedy Central in the early 2000s.
