* ForcedTransformation: Hands these out like candy, from turning the forest children into animals to cursing Odette to be a swan. Fittingly, he (or what's left of him) gets turned into a cuckoo clock at the end after the crystal's power destroys him.

* InsecureLoveInterest: When the fairies are discussing her and Daniel falling in love to break the curse, she has doubts because she doesn't think she's special enough to win Daniel's heart, especially as he's a prince while she's 'nobody'. The Fairy Queen proceeds to list her qualities and its made pretty obvious Daniel is already smitten with her.

* AnimalMotif: Swans, of course. She's cursed to turn into a swan by day and some of her clothing resembles swan feathers; her wedding dress even includes a pair of sparkly wings and a crown modelled after a swan. Swans are often thought to represent grace and love; Odette is noted to be a graceful dancer and it's her love for Daniel and her friends that enables to stop Rothbart.

* BigBad: He's the main antagonist of the movie, as in most versions of the ballet; he seeks to take over the Enchanted Forest and curses Odette because she's destined to defeat her. He would've killed her outright if it weren't for the magic crystal protecting her, so he seeks to find a way around this to claim the crystal for himself.

* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: For all his faults, he really does love his daughter Odile and often calls her his "little dove" (sometime "starling" or "sparrow" instead). When he accidentally turns her into a pig (he was aiming at Daniel, but hit her instead), he's genuinely distraught and only leaves her because the heroes are escaping.

* ButtMonkey: She gets sprayed by skunks at Carlita's command, accidentally turned into a pig by her own father, and reduced to being a maid in Erasmus's library at the end after her and Rothbart's defeats. [[KarmicButtMonkey Not that she doesn't deserve it, mind you.]]

* WarriorPrince: He doesn't get much of a chance to actually show it, but he's shown to be proficient with a bow and arrow at the beginning (being able to hit a very specific spot on a sack of feed all the way across a garden) and is quick enough on his feet to dodge Rothbart's magic blasts. He's also able to do an UnnecessaryCombatRoll when ducking that led to Rothbart accidentally turning Odile into a pig when aiming at him.

* {{Unicorn}}: Obviously. The villagers try to capture her because of her status as such a rare and fantastical animal, and she occasionally gets her horn stuck in trees. She also uses her horn to open the hidden entrance to the Enchanted Forest.

* BenevolentMageRuler: She's a fairy with magic powers and is a kind and just queen; unfortunately her powers are growing weaker every day thanks to Rothbart's influence and so she needs Odette to defeat him. She's still got enough power to enable cursed people like Odette to turn human again at night (and create fancy outfits). Once Rothbart is defeated, her powers are fully restored.

* MamaBear: She acts like a mother figure to Lila and the forest children and immediately takes Odette under her wing when the girl is cursed by Rothbart, acting quickly by putting the Magic Crystal into a protective crown for her to wear.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: When Odette says she's not cut out to take on Rothbart, the Fairy Queen is very understanding and allows her to leave, saying they can't force her to risk her life for them. Once Odette does agree to help, the Fairy Queen does everything she can to help her succeed.

* LivingProp: The children who aren't Ivan and Carlita are basically this, only being there to fill out scenes and little else. Kelly gets one line (she tells Odette she looks beautiful in her swan-feathered dress), but the others don't even speak.

* UnnamedParent: His real name is never given.

* ForcedTransformation: She gets turned into a sapient swan by Rothbart. The Fairy Queen is able to alter the curse so that she can become human at night, but unless Odette finds a way to break the curse permanently she becomes a swan again the moment the sun rises.

* LivingProp: The children who aren't Ivan and Carlita are basically this, only being there to fill out scenes and little else. Kelly gets one line (she tells Odette she looks beautiful in her swan-feathered dress), but the other don't even speak.

* DaddysLittleGirl: Rothbart adores her and showers her with gifts, even though her whining does annoy him.

* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: He proclaims his love for who he thinks is Odette, not realizing she's actually Odile in disguise and that in doing so it causes the magic crystal protecting Odette to lose its power. In fairness, he had no way of knowing that would happen because Odette didn't get the chance to explain to him that true love would break the curse. Luckily, it all works out okay in the end, but most of the climax is inadvertently Daniel's fault (which is admittedly also true to the ballet).

* PutOnABus: He disappears from the plot after he and Marie go out looking for Odette. Rothbart does use magic to take on his appearance during the ball to trick Daniel, though the baker himself [[TheBusCameBack doesn't show up in person again until]] he attends Odette’s wedding in the ending.
