Not hypocrisy. Also, very inaccurate in the context of Japan\'s education system.

* {{Hypocrite}}: Honestly when one thinks about his system, it is extremely flawed. Yeah making Class-E martyers does give the other classes motivation to study hard and all. But by filling their head with this mindset that their better then Class-E, are the "chosen ones", etc it really sets them up to fail big time once past the school as any normal high school won't provide the luxury his school does. Meaning they'll be no drive for the students to keep pushing further past the point his system is trying to teach. ''Especially'' due to the fact that they'll be people with much broader skills that'll be happy to challenge their inflated sense of superiority as clashes with Class-E very much showcases. In other words, his coodling his school is pretty much a even worse case then his FreudianExcuse that he blindly ignorant to.

The chairman (principal in the Viz and Funimation versions) of Kunugigaoka Junior High School.
----
!!!Tropes associated with Chairman Asano:

* AbusiveParents: [[spoiler: He punches his son in chapter 123, after his son deliberately provokes him while he's in a very emotional state of mind.]]
* TheAce: He's inhumanly skilled in a wide range of subjects and can teach any subject better than specialized teachers, to the point that several characters consider him a 'monster' not unlike Koro-sensei; it's made clear that he's in charge of a school only because of his devotion to education, and if he really wanted he could have become Prime Minister with ease. [[spoiler: In fact, his first students nicknamed him "Mister Perfection" because of this.]]
* AnimalMotifs: The chairman's motif is a centipede.
* ArchnemesisDad[=/=]EvilerThanThou: He treats his son pretty much how you'd expect given how he treats his students. His son responds in kind. They have a lot in common. Although it's shown in chapzer 94 that Asano Sr. is worse.
* AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther: [[spoiler: After Chairman Asano is basically brought back from the edge after Korosensei beats his workbook/grenade challenge, he and Asano Jr. bond by talking about how much money they're going to make by suing each other. The last thing he says to Asano Jr. is that they'll go file their complaints ''together''.]]
* Badass: [[spoiler:Effortlessly destroys the four foreign students when they talk back to him. Note that these students were gathered up by Asano Jr. for their incredible physical abilities.]]
* BigBad: Of the school life side of the story. Every single problem class E faces originates from him.
* BreakTheHaughty: [[spoiler: He lost his ultimate bet against Koro-Sensei. That said, it seems he has mellowed out even if only a little.]]
* BrokenAce: [[spoiler: Originally a kind teacher who only wanted to educate his students into becoming good people, he became convinced that strength of will was the only virtue worth teaching after one of them committed suicide as a result of bullying.]]
* DissonantSerenity: When speaking to Takaoka about why he failed to use fear to teach his class effectively, '''[[NightmareFuel there is imagery of a centipede crawling down Takaoka's throat!]]''' And Takaoka is a trained military soldier!
* TheEndJustifiesTheMeans: The Principal makes Class E the school's pariahs because it means the other students will do anything to keep their grades up and not get sent there.
* EvilCounterpart: [[spoiler: His backstory retroactively makes him one to Koro-sensei, which is made explicit in chapter 126. He was originally an impossibly talented oddball teacher. Then when one of his first students died he became an impossibly talented oddball SadistTeacher. Basically, he's what would happen if Koro-sensei went bad.]]
* ExpositoryHairstyleChange: Years ago, he wore his hair straight and limp, but [[spoiler:after a student of his died and he had his FaceHeelTurn, he rearranged it into the harsh, spiky bangs that he has in the present. Note that even after his reconciliation with Koro-sensei he doesn't change it back.]]
* FallenHero: [[spoiler:In chapter 125 it is revealed that when the chairman first started teaching, he was a hyper-competent and caring educator not unlike Koro-sensei. However, after one of his students committed suicide because he could not tolerate the high school bullying inflicted upon him, the chairman began to question his own teaching methods and concluded that VirtueIsWeakness. Over time, he [[BecameTheirOwnAntithesis became his own antithesis]].]]
* {{Foil}}: He and Koro-sensei contrast each other greatly. Where Koro-sensei is a monster intent on destroying the world, Chairman Asano wants to improve the world through education. Yet strangely, Koro-sensei is goofy, but kind, while Chairman Asano is strict and incredibly cruel.
* FollowInMyFootsteps: His son, Gakushuu, is basically like him. They have a... disturbing relationship, with one intent on keeping the other as a corporate slave and the other treating his father like a pet.
* FreudianExcuse: [[spoiler: He was originally a wonderful teacher who accepted that people had faults, and only wanted his students to grow into good people. However, when one of them committed suicide after being bullied too much, he realized that being good was worthless and for his students to survive, they needed to be strong.]]
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: [[spoiler: His brainwashing tactics come back to bite him hard during the finals. Because of his brainwashing, Class A got carried away by their bloodlust, which gave them tremendous intensity early on in the tests. But they couldn't keep it up through all the finals and ended up losing their focus later on, which led to them losing to Class E completely.]]
* HonorBeforeReason: Refuses to compromise his beliefs or education method, even with the world at risk.
* HotGuysAreBastards: Pretty good looking. And a total prick.
* IdiotBall: Suffice to say. Beating down the confidence of the only people in a legitimate position to end a world ending threat that will destroy ALL LIFE on the planet within a year is a terrible idea. If they fail due to, say a lack of confidence in their own abilities thanks to a systematic destruction, then he's equally culpable for the destruction of the human race in order to preserve his ideals as a teacher which favors grades over individuals. Worse, if they succeed? Then a phenomenally rich, highest quality assassin who has the favor of every government on the planet, the assistance of several of the worlds best assassins and an overtly obvious reason to HATE the principal for making their junior highschool years a living hell, has every reason to ruin/kill him with every resource available to them and basically no one to tell them not to. Anyone with real authority knows they saved the world, right?
* InsaneTrollLogic: The Chairman of the school is more interested in preserving his system than ''keeping Koro-sensei from destroying the world.''
* InstantExpert: Surpassed a black belt in karate in three days after losing once, because he felt that losing twice would be like dying.
* JerkAss: Created a school system that encourages the entire student body to discriminate and humiliate the students with the lowest grades.
* JerkAssHasAPoint: His cruelty is without measure and he manipulates the students, but aside from the discrimination and sabotage the lessons he's teaching do have their points. [[spoiler:As he explains to Koro-Sensei when he allowed one student from Class 3-E to transfer out.]]
* KillSteal: One of the reasons he fires Takaoka is to strip class 3-E of their victory, and to remind them that ''he'' is the one in charge.
* ManipulativeBastard:
** Anything he can do to ensure that his system works will be done, from personally teaching the content of an upcoming midterm to all students except Class 3-E to hiring a SadistTeacher to make sure Class 3-E's grades drop dramatically.
** And when said SadistTeacher failed to live up to expectations [[spoiler:e.g. beaten by Nagisa]], he swiftly ejects them in order to deny the students the satisfaction of kicking him out.
** When he becomes the baseball team's substitute coach, he basically brainwashes them into a frenzy so they can crush Class E in an exhibition match. [[spoiler: Does the same thing when tutors Class A for their second final exams.]]
* NamedAfterSomebodyFamous:
** See the matching entry at the top of the page. Ironically, he is named after the person whose death by seppuku UsefulNotes/The47Ronin sought revenge over.
** Not as ironic as it may seem: the guy was considered rather abrasive and quite a nasty piece of work both in contemporary sources and since. That he got judicially murdered wasn't that much of a surprise, considering the stuff he pulled. The honor doesn't lie in the 47 defending the memory of a just man, but keeping their word and allegiance beyond his death.
* NightmareFace: A metaphorical one, but he faces his son with a very creepy, alien-like looking face with very gross, strangely-positioned eyes. Asano Jr.'s YouMonster reaction indeed.
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: [[spoiler:To the four foreign exchange students, who are largely built athletes, but still teenagers.]]
* NonActionBigBad: So far he hasn't shown any extraordinary physical abilities, though with his charisma and manipulation he is a significant impediment regardless. [[spoiler:In chapter 94 the four foreign exchange students find out [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown the hard way]] that he's a very capable and brutal fighter too.]]
* NoSenseOfPersonalSpace: Goes forehead-to-forehead with the coach of the baseball club (pretending to check for a fever) when threatening to fire him because class E is winning the exhibition game against them.
* ThePowerOfHate: Chapter 94 reveals that he believes this is a key part of learning from defeat. The feelings of hatred and humiliation stemming from a loss is what drives the losers to do better next time.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: [[spoiler:In chapter 123, after revealing that all of Class-E reached the top 50 and won over Class-A, his son gives him this. In retaliation, he punches his own son as [[SoreLoser he doesn't take it well]].]]
* SadistTeacher: It is known that he teaches classes. Even though he isn't a teacher of Class-E, he is a bastard to them.
* SharpDressedMan[=/=]BadassInANiceSuit: Very sharp. The literal angularity of his suit makes him stand out a lot. [[spoiler:Heaven help you if he [[TheCoatsAreOff loosens so much as a single button]]]].
* SignatureLaugh: Fufufu.
* TheSociopath: He has not even the slightest shred of remorse or empathy for the students whose lives he actively tries to ruin. He also has the superficial charm and manipulation ability aspects of the disorder down pat.
* SoreLoser: In the most extreme way possible. The best example is in chapter 123. [[spoiler:Class 3-A lost because they couldn't concentrate on the second half of the exam as they lost the 'bloodlust' that the chairman had whipped up on them. When his son gives Class 3-A TheReasonYouSuckSpeech, he doesn't take it and slaps him when everyone in Class 3-A approves of Class 3-E's abilities and asks him to transfer them to Class 3-E if he's not happy. This also results everyone in Class 3-A leaving him.]]
* ThrowTheDogABone: Fires Takaoka for his violent way of teaching, much to Class 3-E's delight.
* VillainousBreakdown: Suffers from one BIG TIME after [[spoiler: Class E defeats Class A in the second term exams. He attempts to destroy the Class E building, kill Koro-sensei and place Class E in what is essentially a prison.]]
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: He's respected and liked by the students and teachers of the main building and has won several awards for his top notch educational system. At the same time, he's a huge JerkAss to Class 3-E, treating them in a way that is actually violating the school system of Japan. He not only approves of Takaoka's violent punishment methods until they became ineffective, but he also [[spoiler:beats the hell out of the four exchange students,]] which is definitely illegal and criminal.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: His system intends to ensures that 95% of the students become highly successful in their studies... by treating the other 5% like absolute garbage. Considering his sociopathy, YMMV as to whether this is actually well intentioned, or if it is simple a bid for glory.
* WouldHurtAChild: [[spoiler:He beat the hell of the four exchange students, who still are technically teenagers.]]
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: He fired Takaoka. His objection wasn't even with Takaoka's [[spoiler:use of violence as a teaching method.]] While he disapproved of it, the reason he stepped in was because [[spoiler:Nagisa beat Takaoka in their fight,]] which meant the class would never be afraid of Takaoka again.

[[folder:Class 3-A]]
The tip top of the student body of Kunugigaoka Junior High. Led by the Chairman's son Gakushuu Asano.
----
!!!Tropes associated with multiple Class 3-A students:
* {{The Ace}}s: The Five Virtuosos are the top in their respective subjects. And come with the requisite ego to match.
* CharacterDevelopment: When they're [[spoiler: completely trounced by Class E for the second semester exams]], they all realize [[spoiler: that the principal's teaching methods were ineffective and humbly accept their defeat, realizing that the system is wrong.]]
* [[RichBitch Rich Bastards]]: Four of the five virtuosos don't care about the holidays trip because their families travel to better places and Asano's family has a maid and a chauffeur. All of them are huge assholes.
* SlobsVersusSnobs: The snobs to Class 3-A's slobs.

----
!!Gakushuu Asano
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/MamoruMiyano (Japanese)

Student council president of Kunugigaoka junior high school, the top scorer of the Five Virtuosos who have the highest scores in the school, and son of chairman Gakuhou Asano. He is every bit as domineering as his father, but lacks his sense of greater purpose. Before the first term finals, he leads class A, comprised of the school's top students, in a massive group study session to ensure class E cannot upset the school's established system at his father's behest.
----
!!!Tropes associated with Asano:
* TheAce: Ranked either first or second in ''all'' his subjects during the Final Exam arc. Also speaks multiple languages and displays astonishing martial arts ability.
* AntagonisticOffspring[=/=]EvilerThanThou: His relationship with his father is basically this. He wants to keep his father like a pet, while his father intends to make him a corporate slave for the rest of his life. One has to wonder what the mother is like. Although it's shown in chapzer 94 that Asano Sr. is worse.
* ArcVillain: In chapters 50 to 54. He returns to this role in chapter 90 to 94.
* AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther: [[spoiler: After Chairman Asano is basically brought back from the edge after Korosensei beats his workbook/grenade challenge, he and Asano Jr. bond by talking about how much money they're going to make by suing each other.]]
* BadassBookworm: Unrivaled when it comes to academics. It's revealed that he has the martial art skills to force [[spoiler:the boys of Class 3-E into a pinch]].
* {{Bishounen}}: The only one of two good looking students in the entire main building.
* BreakTheHaughty: Hit with this in chapter 54, with his father rubbing salt into the wound.
* CunningLinguist: In chapter 90, he's seen speaking English, French, Korean and Portuguese with astonishing ease.
* EvenEvilHasStandards:
** On the wrong side of this trope. Even his fellow Virtuosos, none of them pleasant people, think of him as black-hearted.
** On the right side, Asano is increasingly disgusted of his father, who is the worst person in the whole series. [[spoiler: His father making his classmates into motivated vengeful zombies just to defeat Class E became the last straw for him, so much that he actually begs Class E to stop his father.]]
* InsaneTrollLogic: Like father like son. Of course the easiest way to beat your dad in your little info war is... an extended examination beat-down contest with Class E to force them to tell you what he's hiding? The thought to ask never crosses his mind.
* LastNameBasis: With his own father, though this isn't too uncommon in formal settings. Also, everyone else calls him by his last name, too. To distinguish him from his father, the chairman is always referred with his title before his name.
* MagneticHero: Or at least, Magnetic Leader. Somehow he has a lot of friends from around the world who show real loyalty to him on multiple occasions.
* MeaningfulName: His name means "excels at study." His father knew exactly what he was going for when he named him.
* OnlySaneMan: He was the most insightful when noticing all the strange happenings around Class E. [[spoiler: He was the only person unaffected by his father's brainwashing for the finals, given that his father dismissed him earlier in his classroom.]]
* OverlordJr: The son of Chairman Asano.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech:
** Receives one from his father in chapter 54 after [[spoiler:losing the bet with Class E. Asano's father mocks his plan to turn him into a pet when he couldn't even win against people his own age.]]
** Happens again by the same person 40 chapters later.
* TheRival: To Karma in the First and Second Semesters' Final Exam arcs, and to Isogai in the Sports Festival arc.
* TheSociopath: He's inherited most of the traits his father displays, in particular the charisma and callous manipulative behavior.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: Asano is a dead ringer for a younger Chairman Asano.
* YouMonster: His reaction to his father's metaphorical NightmareFace.

One of the Five Virtuosos, ranked second in the school, specializing in social studies. As head of the broadcasting club, he had a few cameos before being formally introduced. He was one of the speakers in the May school assembly, and the announcer in the exhibition baseball match.
----
!!!Tropes associated with Araki:

* MouthOfSauron: Though it's not any kind of official capacity, most of the time when he appears he's the one implementing Asano's vision of the school by inciting the other students to mock Class-E, since the chairman himself doesn't often involve himself in the day-to-day lives of his students.
* SmarmyHost: Makes constant obviously disparaging comments about Class-E in his speeches.
* TheRival: To Isogai in the First Semester's Final Exam arc regarding social studies.
* YoungerThanTheyLook: In his first appearance, in chapter 11, if you didn't notice he was wearing a student uniform you might think he was a member of the faculty.

----
!!Ren Sakakibara

One of the Five Virtuosos, ranked third in the school, specializing in Japanese.
----
!!!Tropes associated with Sakakibara:

* {{Bishounen}}: Not as much as Asano due to his rather odd hairstyle.
* CasanovaWannabe: He enjoys flirting with girls, and he flirts with Kanzaki, too.
* TheRival: To Kanzaki in the First Semester's Final Exam arc regarding Japanese.
* TokenGoodTeammate: Though, he is still pretty arrogant, he just doesn't badmouth Class-E that much than the others.

----
!!Natsuhiko Koyama

One of the Five Virtuosos, ranked fifth in the school (Karma took the fourth place ranking), specializing in science. Prior to the first term finals, appeared only in Terasaka's pre-class E flashbacks.
----
!!!Tropes associated with Koyama:

* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Even the other Virtuosos don't seem to care for his presence very much.
* {{Gonk}}: With his extremely crooked teeth, bizarre eyes and grotesque expressions, he really sets the bar for ugliness high.
* NightmareFace: How he's introduced. It's soon revealed to be his default expression.
* TheRival: To Okuda in the First Semester's Final Exam arc regarding science.
* UnknownRival: To Karma in the First Semester's Final Exam arc regarding the rank of the fourth best student.
* VictoryIsBoring: Feels no satisfaction from [[spoiler:beating Karma in the finals, because Karma screwed himself over by not studying.]]

----
!!Tomoya Seo

One of the Five Virtuosos, ranked sixth in the school, specializing in English. Was also Kaho Tsuchiya's boyfriend for a brief time before a prank orchestrated by Class E caused them to break up.
----
!!!Tropes associated with Seo:

* ForeignExchangeStudent: Not currently, but spent a year abroad in Los Angeles because of his parents' work.
* {{Jerkass}}: Beyond the normal non-class E unkindness, he is verbally abusive even to members of his own class while he tutors them. And to old people, too.
* LaxativePrank: A victim of this. After humiliating Maehara in front of his ex-girlfriend, Class E teaches him not to look down on the weak by spiking his drink with a bowel irritant.
* {{Pride}}: Has a strange, almost obsessive vanity. When sitting under an awning in the rain he remarks, apropos of nothing, about what a sense of superiority it gives him to be in the only dry area.
* TheRival: To Nakamura in the First Semester's Final Exam arc regarding English.

----
!!The Foreign Exchange Students

Four largely built athletes invited to Kunugigaoka by Asano Jr. during the annual athletic festival. Asano Jr. uses their strength to give his team an overwhelming advantage against Class E in the bo-taoshi match.

----
!!!Tropes associated the foreign exchange students:
* {{The Big Guy}}s: The four foreign exchange students are ridiculously huge and are top sportsmen.
* {{The Brute}}s: Literally intended to crush Class E in the bo-taoshi match.
* TheAce: The four foreign exchange students are top class sportsmen in their respective fields.
** Kevin: The American National Junior Football representative.
** Camille: The next generation's ace at a famous wrestling gym in France.
** Sang-Hyuk: A rising star in the Korean basketball world.
** José: The son of an international fighter from Brazil, apparently in MMA.
* TheCameo: José shows up in chapter 102. He is one of the Brazillian soccer fans who are pissed of by Koro-sensei mentioning [[ShoutOut 7 to 1]].
* {{Dumb Muscle}}s: The four exchange students are invited to the school by Asano Jr. for the sports festival, so Class 3-A has an athletic and physical advantage against Class 3-E. The four leave the thinking to Asano.
* ForeignExchangeStudent: Asano Jr. calls up four foreign top sportsmen to transfer to his school so that his class can defeat Class 3-E in the sports festival.
* OnlyOneName: The four exchange students.
* TrueCompanions: To Asano. Kevin stands up for him when Chairman Asano gives his son another TheReasonYouSuckSpeech. [[spoiler:With [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown bloody]] consequences.]]
* YoungerThanTheyLook: The four foreign exchange students are 15 years old like the rest of the class, but they look much older. No wonder some characters doubt their age.

[[folder: Kunugigaoka Junior High School - Other]]
!!Kazutaka Shindou

The captain of the school's baseball club, who is able to pitch fastballs on the level of pro players.
----
!!!Tropes associated with Shindou:

* TheAce: How he sees himself and his team members, who all excel in both military arts (sports) and literary arts (study). He refers to them as the chosen ones.
* BoisterousBruiser: He's prone to making boasts.
* BluntYes: To when Karma questions whether he really is a chosen one.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: He and the whole baseball team are "motivated" by Chairman Asano during the exhibition match against Class E. The chairman uses only his choice of words and charisma to manipulate their minds so that they are entirely focused on winning. This causes them to act like berserkers.
* CripplingOverspecialization: His pitches are incredibly fast for a middle schooler, but since he only has two different pitches, Class E was able to counter and manipulate him easily until the Chairman mixed things up.
* FriendlyEnemy: The baseball club was always less malicious towards class E than the rest of the school. They mostly limited themselves to a few insensitive comments and being typical arrogant jocks.
* FriendlyRivalry: With Sugino, with a power vs. technique dynamic. He acknowledges it after Class E wins the exhibition match.
* HeelFaceTurn: The first main school student to openly help Class E, even if only in a small way.
* IAlwaysWantedToSayThat: He always wanted to introduce a group of people like an over-the-top announcer. He gets his chance with the Five Virtuosos.
* LargeHam: He really enjoys being overly dramatic.
* MindControlEyes: When "brainwashed" by Chairman Asano.
* TheSouthpaw: He pitches with his left hand.
* WorthyOpponent: Shindou considers Sugino as one, to the point of warning him of Class A's antics.

%%[[caption-width-right:350:some caption text]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/HirokiGotou (Tanaka) and Creator/MasahitoYabe (Takada) (Japanese)

Nagisa's two former classmates, [[AllThereInTheManual Tanaka and Takada]], who are in Class 3-D. They are pathetic {{Gonk}}s who believe (like everyone else) they are superior to the students in Class E, but they are close to falling into this very class themselves.
----
!!!Tropes associated with Tanaka and Takada:
* AllThereInTheManual: Their names.
* BlatantLies: When they harass Nagisa because they didn't like how happy he seemed, they corner him. When he doesn't seem threatened or bothered by them, they threaten his life. All it takes is a non-threatening WhamLine and a DeathGlare on Nagisa's part to scare them off. Then they go and tell everyone that ''they were the ones given a death threat.''
* ButtMonkey: They never get luck in their life.
* FatBastard: Tanaka.
* {{Gonk}}: Like most other non-Class 3-E students, they are ugly.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: The hetero part is a bit doubtful; for some reason, [[http://www.mangareader.net/assassination-classroom/52/15 they are apparently closer]] [[HoYay than normal friends]].
* NerdGlasses: Takada.
* NoNameGiven: The story never reveals their names.
* OneSteveLimit:
** Class 3-A has a student with the name Tanaka.
** Their last names themselves sound very similar.
* StrawLoser:
** They are proud that are not in Class E, yet their grades are so low that they ''could'' fall into that very class that they hate. Ironically, Class 3-E is already able to compete with [[spoiler:Class 3-A]].
** They watch the baseball match between the Class 3-E boys and the baseball team to feel better after their own loss against another class. After Class 3-E wins, they are pissed off and claim that the match was boring.
* ThoseTwoGuys: They appear always together and have no distinct characterization that tell them apart.

----
!!Kaho Tsuchiya

A girl from the main school. Has or tries to have at least three different boyfriends over the course of her short appearances, mainly just for the sake of having one.
----
!!!Tropes associated with Tsuchiya:

* BadLiar: Lies often, about anything and everything that may cause her embarrassment. It's always obvious when she does, but Seo at least is perfectly happy to let it slide.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: Though she tries to pass herself off as merely playful, her spite for everyone who isn't useful to her is clear.
* LaxativePrank: A victim of this. After humiliating Maehara in front of her new boyfriend, Class E teaches her not to look down on the weak by spiking her drink with a bowel irritant.
* TriangRelations: With Maehara as A, her as B and Seo as C, a type 4... Until the rest of class E decided to get involved, at which point it became nothing.
* YourCheatingHeart: Maintains multiple boyfriends at once as a matter of convenience. When two of them find out about each other, she casually dumps the more disposable one (class E's Maehara) on the spot.

----
!!Kokona Tagawa

A false friend of Megu Kataoka.
----
!!!Tropes associated with Kokona:

* AllJustADream: In a dream, she visits a beautiful moonlit oasis where a bunch of mythical, fish-like creatures teach her how to swim. What she never finds out is that [[InvertedTrope it really happened]]: The oasis was actually Class-E's private mountainside pool, while the creatures were really just Koro-sensei, Kataoka, Nagisa, and Kayano disguised in [[PaperThinDisguise ridiculous yet adequately convincing costumes]].
* BookDumb: She forces Kataoka to help her with her studies.
* {{Blackmail}}: She blames Kataoka for nearly drowning in the ocean because she "didn't teach her how to swim properly" despite it's her own fault. She uses this event to guilt trip Kataoka into help her study.
* FanDisservice: Licking on Kataoka's arm. And Kokona's face isn't pretty at all.
* GirlishPigtails
* ManipulativeBitch: Manipulates Kataoka into being her personal tutor by convincing her that she almost killed her.
* SuperDrowningSkills: Until Kataoka teaches her how to swim properly.
* TakingAdvantageOfGenerosity: To Kataoka.
* TooDumbToLive: Even though Kataoka told her that she needed more swimming practice, Kokona still swam in the ocean and nearly drowned.

----
!!Kunudon
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/KurumiMamiya (Japanese), Mary Morgan (English)

Kunugigaoka Academy's mascot, a cartoon sawtooth oak acorn (after which the school is named).
----
!!!Tropes associated with Kunudon:

* AscendedExtra: In the manga, Kunudon only appears in the extra pages in the volumes. In the anime he appears to explain the information from those extras.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: To the public, he's a saccharine cartoon character concerned with everyone being happy and having fun. But when he's talking about class E, he's basically a drill instructor who treats them like trash.
* BlatantLies: According to Kunudon, Kunugigaoka is a place where everyone is treated as equals, and every day is fun.
