He was an AU version of Michael Knight, created by a glitch generated when Uriel entered .Reality; he unwillingly fused with Xerex Storn on the day his timeline underwent its apocalypse, and was hidden away at the beginning of time, where he was trained and mentored by Ellpagg. After witnessing (and playing a part in) the failure of the Arknza fellowship, he uses his powers to travel back in time to an earlier point in the history of the Arkn, averting the events that lead to the fellowship's failure (and creating a new timeline and universe). Azrael was the original fourth Arknza and Paradox Player, described as the Arknangel who "came forth from time itself".

* DoorstepBaby: Shortly after his conception, he was left on the steps of the Elysium palace, where he was found and raised by Delphar (with the later assistance of Azrael).

Carver).
* TechnicalPacifist: Subverted; unlike his Universe A counterpart, he has no trouble fighting (or killing) The Carver.

* VeteranInstructor: To Ellpagg during the Second War.

to:

* VeteranInstructor: To Ellpagg ARealManIsAKiller: As a child, Raphael was awestruck by Raziel and wanted to learn magic; Abaddon, however, forced him to begin weapons training as soon as he came of age and indoctrinated him in the ways of war. As a young adult (under Azrael's encouragement), he secretly began taking magic lessons with Raziel, and eventually discovered his natural healing powers.
* TheAtoner: Raphael hopes to make up for his bloody past life by using his magicks to heal and preserve lives. Unfortunately, he has to step back into the role of warrior in order to face The Carver. After Carver's defeat, however, he begins drifting from one realm to the next, helping others.
* BioArmor: Assuming he possesses the same armor as his Universe A self, he wears a suit of armor was forged by Abaddon out of the souls of Dekn slain in battle. This causes Raph to be surrounded with the "aura of death" on the battlefield. (He presumably abandons it after deciding to become a healer.)
* CastFromHitPoints: He can heal any injury — including fatal ones — by transferring a tiny piece of his soul into whoever he's healing. (As in Universe A, what effect this has on either him or the individuals he's healed hasn't been revealed.)
* TheChosenOne: Abaddon firmly believed that Raphael was destined to carry out the legacy of the Hethe — and made certain Raph knew so from a very young age. He's right, but it leaves Raph horribly mentally and emotionally damaged.
* CombatMedic: Raph spent most of his adult life on the battlefield killing Dekn; he later chooses to focus on his healing magicks, using his powers to preserve and restore life rather than take it. However, he's still a warrior, and he's perfectly capable of throwing down when the occasion calls for it.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: In addition to his childhood, Raph has to contend with the memory of his wanton slaughter on the battlefield, as well as his role in hunting down the Nephilim and Watchers.
* HealingMagic: The power of his healing magicks is unmatched. In fact, he's known as the "Arkn of Healing".
* IAmYourFather: The Carver is his father (though it's unknown whether he ever discovers this).
* JourneyToFindOneself: After helping to defeat The Carver, he drifted from one realm to the next, with his brother Raguel by his side, in search of a sense of belonging and inner peace.
* MagicStaff: Praevaricator, Raphael's signature staff. It was originally created by the Hethe to aid the Arkn Gynesis, who gifted it to Abaddon to pass onto his firstborn son. Raph uses it to channel his healing powers. Doubles as a StaffOfAuthority
during the Second War.battle against The Carver.
* MasterSwordsman: He began training with a sword almost as soon as he could hold one.
* ReluctantWarrior: He only started killing because it was expected of him (and because it was "kill or be killed" on the battlefield). After the battle against The Carver, he gives it up completely and devotes himself to healing and preserving life.
* ResurrectiveImmortality: Presumably One of the abilities granted to him by his healing powers.
* WalkingTheEarth: Does the inter-realm version after The Carver's death.

* AmbiguouslyGay: He had a family with a male Arkn (Hazel), and spent five years living on Earth with a defected male Dekn, Arix.
* TheArchmage: Acted as one during the First War (and for a long time afterwards).
* BadassBookworm: He spent eons recording his findings on the First Reality and the Dekn (such that he was considered the official expert on both). Later, he devoted his time to analyzing magickal energy, mastering it, and recording his findings — essentially becoming the father of all fields of Arkn magick. All this, and he's not just one of the most prolific Arkn warriors in history, but one of the prophesied Arknza.
* BadassPacifist: He may have taken a vow of non-violence, but make no mistake: he possesses the powers of a Reality Warper, and can freeze you in your tracks with a single word if he so desires. He later drops the "Pacifist" part in order to help train Ambriel as a warrior, and then to help fight The Carver.
* TheBerserker: He used to be this on the battlefield, slaughtering literally countless Dekn in his lust for blood.
* BloodKnight: During the First War, he fit this to a T.
* BornUnlucky: One of Raziel's aspects is tragedy. He believes everything that brings him joy is destined to end in suffering and disaster; it turns out he's wrong, as not only does he help the Arknza fellowship to defeat The Carver, but so does Ambriel — his greatest source of joy. And then they both live long, happy lives while ruling the Paradisium.
* CoolOldGuy: Given that he's one of the most ancient Arkn, he definitely qualifies.
* CourtMage: Acted as one during the reign of King Gilgamesh.
* CulturedBadass: He's one of the greatest Arkn warriors and fighters in history, and is also very learned and refined.
* DadTheVeteran: During the peacetime after the First War, he fathered three children with Hazel.

* DarkAndTroubledPast: Azrael started hearing the Arkn and Dekn at a young age (as did his brother), making him fear that he was going crazy. His parents and sister were murdered in front of him by an unknown killer when he was only nine years old [=Type0Negative=] never definitively decided who was responsible for their deaths — on the same day his brother was shot dead by his own Guardian Arkn. After a lifetime in foster care, he tried to build a stable life for himself, reclaiming his family name and starting therapy; just when it seemed he had a shot at happiness, Xerex showed up, hijacked his life, and (allegedly) killed the guy he loved — before killing Michaelis himself, and forcing him into a situation where they became bound together. Then his mentor, Ellpagg, locked him up in a tower on the edge of existence (after giving him someone else’s memories and nearly destroying his original identity), leaving him to watch all of history unfold in isolation. And after all that, when he's finally allowed out on his own, he was forced to witness the failure of the fellowship of the Arknza -- while knowing that it was partially his fault. The latter part is ultimately what inspires him to try to alter history for the better.

These are the Arknza.
-->-- The prophecy of the Arknza

A group of powerful, Hethe-blooded Arkn. A Hethian prophecy states that seven of them (led by a core group of four known as the "Paradox Players") will one day face the Carver in battle and emerge victorious, leading to a new golden age.

* BadPowersGoodPeople: Their power may stem from Hethian blood, but the Arknza are all good, heroic individuals.
* TheChosenMany: While there are a number of Arkn who possess Hethe blood (and thus technically qualify as Arknza), only seven Arknza are mentioned by the prophecy (and only seven emerge, as far as we know).
* FusionDance: Averted; while most of the Arknza of Universe A merged their physical essence with that of a Hethe-blooded human "counterpart" (leaving the human and Arkn personalities to share a single body), the Arknza of Eternal are able to avoid this: with Azrael's knowledge, they don't need a human counterpart, and are able to unlock their divine blood (and the accompanying power) of their own accord.
* IJustWantToBeNormal: All of the Arknza just want to be able to live their own lives, free of the responsibility of being the "chosen ones". spoiler: They get their wish after the Hethe depart from the universe, taking with them their divine power -- and the immortality of the Arkn -- allowing the Arknza to live normal, mortal lives of their own chossing.
* TrueCompanions: Due to Azrael's tales of the other universe, the Paradox Players are close friends for much of their lives -- and become equally close friends with the rest of the seven after they join the group.

!!Uri'el Gilga'mesh

The Second King of Elysium, King of Battle and the Infernous, and Commander of the Golden Army, Uriel is the only child of King Gilgamesh and the father of Ellpagg and Seraphina. Uriel is the first Arknza and Paradox Player, described in the prophecy as "born of a line fit to rule as Kings".
----
* BadassFamily: Is the head of one.
* TheGoodKing: He is considered the greatest king to ever rule the Arkn, and was much beloved and respected by his subjects.
* TrulySingleParent: To Ellpagg and Seraphina. (Though had a hand in their creation.

!!Raph'ael

The Arkn (and Arkangel) of Healing, Raphael is the eldest son of Abaddon and the first Arkn to result from procreation. He served under Gilgamesh in the First War and Uriel in the Second War, earning a reputation as one of the finest Arkn warriors. Raphael is the second Arknza and Paradox Player, described in the prophecy as the Arknangel "born to wars and beings".

* VeteranInstructor: To Ellpagg during the Second War.

!!Ruhah'zehee'el

The Arknmagus of Knowledge, Magic, Wisdom, Secrets, Hope, and Tragedy, and former Arkn of Rage, Indifference, and Fear. Raziel is the fourth Arkn brought into existence, created by the Hethe Gar'sha. He initially served as a soldier, strategist, and religious leader during the First War. At the height of the war, he devoted himself to the study and mastery of magicks, creating the energy field that serves as the source of all Arkn magick, as well as the Aetherium and the Infinitium. After suffering disgrace and mistreatment by the Aristocracy, he lost faith in the Arkn cause. However, he remained near the Golden Cities, where he watched over and helped care for his granddaughter, Ambriel (while assisting the Arknza in their training). Raziel is the third Arknza and Paradox Player, described in the prophecy as the Arknangel "raised from magic strings".

!!Azrael Michaelis Winter

The Arknangel of Time and Salvation from Universe A, Azrael was born Michaelis Winter, the eldest son of that universe's Marcus and Mary Winter and the brother of their children, Elizabeth and Alex. He was an AU version of Michael Knight, created by a glitch generated when Uriel entered .Reality; he unwillingly fused with Xerex Storn on the day his timeline underwent its apocalypse, and was hidden away at the beginning of time, where he was trained and mentored by Ellpagg. After witnessing (and playing a part in) the failure of the Arknza fellowship, he uses his powers to travel back in time to an earlier point in the history of the Arkn, averting the events that lead to disaster and creating a new timeline and universe. Azrael was the original fourth Arknza and Paradox Player, described as the Arknangel who "came forth from time itself".
----
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Azrael started hearing the Arkn and Dekn at a young age (as did his brother), making him fear that he was going crazy.
* HeroicSacrifice: When the time arrives for Ellpagg to go into The Infernous (the afterlife/prison dimension of the Dekn) -- an act which will inevitably lead to Ellpagg losing his sanity and becoming DrunkOnPower (and a pawn of ), he offers to take his place -- after giving Ellpagg his Hethian blood, leaving himself powerless.

* KilledOffForReal: In The Infernous, after a brutal battle with (during which Azrael wasn't even armed).

The Third King of Elysium, and Arkn Knight of Battle, Time, Madness, and Beetles. Ellpagg is the eldest child (and only son) of King Uriel. She eventually returns to the city, overthrowing the corrupt government that once persecuted her family and becoming the city's new queen. Arkn: Eternal is yet another addition to the web-based Arkn Mythos franchise. Announced and launched on December 25, 2018, it is spun off from both Arkn: Echo and Arknverse, and centers around an alternate version of Universe A. It is intended to allow incoming creators to produce content within the now-concluded Arknverse without potentially disturbing or disrupting the canon ending -- while remaining a canon ending in its own right.

It's...a bit confusing.

Universe E, the setting of Eternity, begins with Azrael Michaelis using his time-based powers to travel back to an early point in history. He befriends many important figures, thus altering crucial events in the timeline; the act causes a ripple in the fabric of reality, splitting off the new version of events into an entirely new universe. While the war between the Arkn and the Dekn is still very much present (as are many of the familiar players), the end result is a very different reality -- with a very different outcome.

!!Arkn: Eternity provides examples of:

* AllPropheciesAreTrue: The prophecy of the Arknza states that seven "Godly blooded beings" (led by a core group of four) will one day face a great evil in battle and emerge victorious, leading to a new golden age. In Universe E (even though the prophecy was ), this is fulfilled to the letter.
* SetRightWhatOnceWentWrong: The impetus for Universe E. Due to how events unfolded in original history (Ellpagg becoming corrupted and becoming a pawn of , Uriel betraying the Arkn, etc.), the Arknza were unable to form a solid alliance, allowing The Carver to gain full power -- and leaving the fellowship woefully unprepared to fight him. Azrael (after an eternity of training his powers) uses his power over time to travel back to shortly after the death of King Gilgamesh and fixes many of the "mistakes" the Arknza made in his own timeline:
** Rather than sitting back and watching events unfold (as he did before), Azrael befriends the future Paradox Playersthe four most powerful Arknza at the center of the fellowship ahead of time and trains alongside them -- while telling them about their failings in his own timeline.
** With their new knowledge of The Carver's battle plans, the Paradox Players are able to train to unlock their divine powers on their own terms, rather than mucking around with human counterparts. (They are also able to revolve or avoid the accompanying distractions -- all of which .)
** When the time comes for Ellpagg to be condemned to The Infernous, Azrael agrees to take his place; Ellpagg never becomes corrupted (or ), Uriel never betrays the Arkn (or creates Alex Winter), and Uriel is able to continue training Ellpagg in Azrael's name -- while warning him of what could potentially happen to him if he ever falls.
** The Paradox Players are able to locate the rest of the fellowship much earlier, and begin training them to use their divine powers, allowing the group to form a powerful, united front that defeats The Carver.
** With The Carver dead, the Hethe depart from the universe. The End Times never occur, the Arkn and Dekn capitals are spared, and in time the war peters out and ends. In addition, the Arknza lose their divine power (preventing any of them from ever AGodAmI becoming a new god) and become mortal -- finally allowing them to live normal, happy lives (and eventually die).
* TemporalParadox: Averted (fortunately) due to the "ripple" in time causing the new version of events to split off into their own universe.
