As useful as it sounds, Imomushi and Suzumebachi know about this and are able to disable Kumoito and make Alice helpless. * DefeatingTheUndefeatable: She defeats Dinoponera, who was in a winning streak against everyone else.

* DieOrFly: Her first offensive use of C.E.C. was to attack Kumo, who wanted to kill her for witnessing her uncle's death.

With training, though, it allows her to enter a controllable hyper aware state and formulate battle strategies in seconds, and serves as arguably her greatest weapon.

* {{Expy}}: Of Turis Flag from Shinya Murata's previous work, ''Manga/{{Jackals}}''. Turis is a year older, but the two look similar, have the same height and weight and both of them are spider-themed string masters.
* FightMagnet: Because there is a great prize for whoever manages to kill her.
* FirstKiss: Got a forced kiss from her uncle while he was trying to rape her and then a surprise kiss from Dinoponera. Alice later bemoans her kissing history when Sara is forcing her and Kuramoto to make out. The ensuing kiss would be the most genuine one in the story despite the situation... [[spoiler:if Kuramoto wasn't the brainwashing ant queen and if Alice wasn't secretly aware of that. Those incidents also bring the KissOfDeath trope to mind, because those three met terrible fates after kissing black widow Alice]].
* FlashStep: Eventually surpasses Dinoponera on this, practically teleporting away from her attacks even though Dinoponera ''[[UpToEleven can perceive things in slow motion]]''. It turned out that Alice was using her threads to both move herself and to make Dinoponera miss her attacks while not realizing what Alice was doing.
* FriendlessBackground: Was tormented by everyone due to her mental disorder.
* FullNameBasis: Most of the cast calls her "Fujii Alice" in an insulting tone, as she refused to give her name up to them.
* GainingTheWillToKill: Alice tried to kill Yoriko to get confortable with her new lifestyle, but failed, threw up and had a brief breakdown. Her first kill is Kumo, at his own request. Spiderlings of certain species do in fact eat their mother to grow, awaken their hunting instincts or avoid being eaten by them - like how Kumo attacked Alice.
* GirlWithPsychoWeapon: A girl who wields a very versatile knifegun.
* GlowingEyesOfDoom: [[EyeColourChange Her grey-yellow eyes light up]] when she's using Congenital Excessive Concentration, as depicted in the cover for volume 10.
* GolfClubbing: In chapter 13, she uses Kumoito to grab an odd nailed golf club a man is holding and swing it [[EyeScream at his eye.]] Way more noteworthy than the plain [[BatterUp nailed bats]] that were also flying around.
* GoodIsNotSoft: Although she didn't intend to kill Oki and Dinoponera, she makes it clear that she could and punishes them hard.
* GrapplingHookPistol: Alice uses the Kumoito for this purpose at least once.

* HeroicBSOD: [[spoiler:Once Yoriko is killed by Sasori. After Alice avenges her, she goes blind with grief and carelessly charges against the invading student mob which are able to overwhelm and knock her down. However, it turned out being captured was part of her plan to defeat Kuramoto]].
* HeroicSecondWind: Defeated Hibiki in a desperate need to stay alive, finally overcame Dinoponera by removing some tangentially related weight off her conscience and shrugged off being repeatedly stabbed with poison for the second time in the same day to turn the tables on [[spoiler:Suzumebachi]].
* HeroicSelfDeprecation: Alice hates herself for being dishonest to Yoriko for the sake of preserving their friendship and for being jealous and distrusting towards Oki.
* HonorBeforeReason: Refusing to [[JoinOrDie sell her name]] to the Organization got Alice into deep trouble. And even though she can end the Arachnid Hunt just by leaving the school at any time, Alice doesn't want to betray her friends who are still lost and in danger. She insists to personally find Yoriko and Kuramoto first.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: How she defeats some of her enemies. The weapon she wields is also set to backfire and wrap the user if it is not controlled in the precise way only a C.E.C.-affected person would be able to.
* HowDoIShotWeb: She had to learn from Kumo how to make the best use of her mental condition. It's a literal example because she does it by wielding a complex thread-based weapon.
* HyperAwareness: Her "Congenital Excessive Concentration" makes her perceive things in great, [[BulletTime slow-motioned]] detail. However, she has to train and control it to avoid being needlessly absentminded to everything else. Her range is even increased by a sensor on Kumoito that allows her to hear sounds through her threads. She later learns to improve her focus into Concentration Driving Force as well.
* IAmYourOpponent: Tells Dinoponera she's going to get the match she's asking so much for, so she shouldn't try to go after Oki and Yoriko.
* IJustWantToBeNormal: Alice would rather keep living as an ordinary student than deal with this insect crime organization nonsense, which might explain why she casually goes to school as usual despite knowing that at the very least Sasori and Hibiki are lurking there.
* IJustWantToHaveFriends: Alice is really happy to have made friends out of Yoriko and Oki and is constantly worried about their safety.
* IMissMom: Feels guilty about her mother's suicide.
* IWantMyMommy: Alice cries for her mom when Dinoponera injects poison all over her limbs.
* IdiotBall: Alice is usually as resourceful as any [[RazorFloss string-wielder]], being able to set and spring fancy traps from nowhere and hear anything going on a sizable radius around her. However, she occasionally makes short-sighted decisions and gets caught off-guard in ways that her abilities [[FridgeLogic really should]] have been able to prevent.
* ImpaledPalm: As early as the Kamakiri fight. Also of note is when she gets her palms, arms, legs and ''butt'' impaled by Dinoponera's venomous needles.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: The Kumoito (Spider's Thread) that she received from Kumo is a GrapplingHookPistol that fires a blade hooked to a length of resistant spider-silk. Once she fires it she can use her concentration ability to control the blade and make it fly around to spread countless traps in what seems like instants without anyone noticing. [[BottomlessMagazines It also has apparently infinite ammo]] and she has control over any thread in the vicinity even when the pistol is taken away from her. Improbable, ''indeed''.
* IndyPloy: Although she's usually the CrazyPrepared type, she's once described as not planning in advance while reacting to attacks in BulletTime.
* InstantExpert: The defining trait of Alice's C.E.C. condition turns out to be how it affects her learning skills. Under Kumo's tutelage, Alice figures how to use it and learns eveything he knows in the most productive two weeks ever. She later says she only needs a couple of days to master Dinoponera's C.D.F. concentration method, but is soon using it to great effect against [[spoiler:Sasori]].
* ItGetsEasier: Alice tried to kill Yoriko as revenge for her bullying and to get used to her new job, only to miss and feel sick enough to vomit. She gets better at it once she kills Kumo and Kamakiri, but she does avoid killing her enemies if she can and isn't too proud about being an assassin.
* ItsAllMyFault: How she feels about Yoriko and Oki's lives being threatened because assassins are attacking her.
* ItsPersonal: [[spoiler:Sasori kills Yoriko and states that Alice too is going to die like her mother did. Needless to say, Alice gets pissed off and hangs her in revenge]].
* KickTheSonOfABitch: [[IDidWhatIHadToDo Survival-driven]] Alice doesn't really find her killings excusable, but they all count under this trope. Including how she beat up and got close to killing [[TheBully Yoriko]], [[PsychoLesbian Oki]] and [[AxCrazy Dinoponera]].
* KillingIntent: Alice becomes bloodthirsty whenever people threaten her life and becomes feared for this, but it's not like she goes out of control. She only kills if she can't avoid it.
* KnewItAllAlong: By placing her threads on [[spoiler:Kuramoto, Alice became aware that she and Sara were in cahoots with each other]].
* KnifeNut: The Kumoito is a [[Webcomic/{{Hiimdaisy}} knifegun]]. Although Alice rarely stabs anyone with it, the blade can pierce through people as it flies.
* KnowWhenToFoldEm: When [[FinalBossPreview Suzumebachi appears]] and disables her threads to keep her from attacking Sara, Alice finds him too intimidating and just escapes with Kuramoto.
* LegacyCharacter: She's Kumo's apprentice, trained to use Kumoito and his spider techniques.
* LightningBruiser: Her [[TrapMaster fighting style]] makes this trait less noticeable than on Oki and Dinoponera, but Alice has been trained in hand-to-hand combat, is physically resilient and also faster than Oki.
* LittleMissBadass: 15 years-old and "A natural-born killer".
* LuminescentBlush: Gets tomato-red when she's embarrassed or worried.
* MadeOfIron: Gets attacked by one assassin after another and endures a ''lot'' of damage but keeps going. Nevermind the horrible pain and much less the neurotoxins of the dinoponera and hornet poisons she gets repeatedly stung with. It seems to help that she often puts some thread under her clothes or around herself as armor.
* [[MartialPacifist Martial]][=/=]TechnicalPacifist: Although Alice is fine with killing for the sake of survival, she only fights in self-defense and will try to spare opponents whenever possible. Just don't screw with her too much or she ''will'' follow through with her threats.
* MiniDressOfPower: Her blue school uniform.
* MissingMom: Her mother committed suicide due to depression. Alice is traumatized about it and can't clearly remember that incident's details. When Alice remembers, she realizes her mother must actually have been assassinated by the Organization.
* NearDeathExperience: She sure felt like this when Kumo tried to kill her when they first met.
* NeckSnap: Kills [[spoiler:Kuramoto]] by crushing her neck with thread. [[FridgeHorror Would she have done the same to Oki]] had the roach chickened out or betrayed her back when she tried to convince Hibiki to leave them alone?...
* NewPowersAsThePlotDemands: No matter how dire the crisis, the ''Alice Fujii spider'' always comes up with some technique she learned from Kumo in her two weeks of training. Meanwhile, most of the other characters are limited to a single species of a insect to get their techniques from.
* NiceGirl: Despite being willing to kill people, she would rather avoid it and is usually very polite and friendly.
* NoIAmBehindYou: Taunts Dinoponera with this maneuver.
* NoSocialSkills: She was enough of a shut-in to not even know what a shopping mall is.
* NothingPersonal: Alice sheepishly tells her teacher Amenbo she's glad that she somehow survived being drowned while trapped underwater, despite Amenbo having tried to kill her.
* ObfuscatingStupidity: Dinoponera notes that Alice fights in a sloppy way to distract and bait her opponents into the traps she sets.
* OffscreenTeleportation: On the moment she begins to outperform Dinoponera, she goes from being unconscious with Dinoponera sitting on her to somehow standing far behind the ant girl, who hadn't even finished standing up.
* OneWomanArmy: She can take down a dozen people while barely moving.
* OnlySaneWoman
* OrdinaryHighSchoolStudent: Who becomes a spider-themed assassin.
* OxygenatedUnderwaterBubbles: Like the Diving Bell Spider, Alice is able to collect air on her webs to survive underwater. She uses this to trick and defeat Amenbo.
* PantyShot: Notably, it's after Oki flips her skirt and raids her other panties that Alice [[ProperTightsWithASkirt begins wearing pantyhose.]]
* PeoplePuppets: She can trap people with her threads to force them to move against their will. And if Alice happens to be paralysed or too hurt to move, she can pull herself around too. She calls it [[GratuitousItalian "Marionette del Ragno"]] in chapter 49.
* PoseOfSupplication: Apologizes to Oki with this pose, feeling guilty about Oki and Yoriko being involved in her assassin troubles. In a much sadder scene, she falls to her knees over [[spoiler:Yoriko's corpse and doesn't even get any peace to mourn her]].
