* DoomedByCanon: Most of Elite Seven were stated to have been killed off by the time of the main series. It's currently unknown if there were any survivors other than Akame, but that seems very unlikely.
** Turns out the only survivors are Akame, [[spoiler:Najasho, and Poney]].

* AntiVillain: The Elite Seven aren't technically evil compared to the rest of the Empire. When they're not killing rebels or people accused of treason, they seem like genuinely good people that could be your friends. However, what makes the Elite Seven "evil" is that they commit acts in the name of the Empire's corrupt rule. They genuinely believe the Empire is a force of good and don't know how their actions affect innocent people nor sympathize with the rebels that want to end the Empire's regime. If anything, their view is similar to Seryu's: if you're with the Empire, you're good, but if you're not, you're "a bad guy" that deserves to die. It's these reasons why people see them as "villains," and only Akame realized this, as it was one of the reasons that led to her defection.

* AntiVillain: The Elite Seven aren't bad people, per se. When they're not killing people, they seem like genuinely good people you can be friends with; however, they commit acts in the name of the Empire's corrupt rule. They genuinely believe the Empire is a force of good and don't know how their actions affect innocent people nor sympathize with the Rebels that want to end the Empire's regime, seeing them as the "the bad guys." It's these reasons they're considered "villains," and only Akame was able to realize this, as it was one of the reasons why she defected.
