Sinnoh grand champion and researcher of ancient legends. She Joins Ash in Brock's place to help document the goings on around him.

* AscendedExtra: In canon he just acts as a pseudo-antagonist in Destiny Deoxys and never actually interacts with the heroes, here he's a reacuring character in Hoenn and the one who first confirms what Ash is.

* BigBrotherMentor: Acts as one to Ash, telling him about Arceus and his role, as well as visiting him after Ash wins his rain badge.
* TheHermit: downplayed but he confesses to preferring to be alone. Considering half of his job is patrolling the ozone on his lonesome and the other half is breaking up his siblings' fights, it's understandable.
