** Dr. Weil, the BigBad of ''VideoGame/MegaManZero'', who had the ambition of fulfilling all three spheres, and even ''succeeding''. And this is one of the modern examples that's NOT played for [[LaughablyEvil laughs]] or [[EvilIsCool cool]]; he provides us with one of the quotes before battling Zero, describing himself really well. Strangely, despite realizing that he's evil (he actually says [[DevilComplex "I am the Devil!"]]), he [[ItsAllAboutMe doesn't think he deserves his rightful punishment]]. It makes him even more demented. Weil perfectly shows why, logically and realistically, a Card-Carrying Villain would be an utterly monstrous individual.

* ''VideoGame/DyztopiaPostHumanRPG'':
** Despite working for Zazz, who genuinely sees himself as a hero, Akari has no illusions about how [[spoiler:the Human Restoration Project will make the world a worse place and admits that her goal is to make everyone suffer as much as she had in her past]].
** Zazz's nastiest minion, [[spoiler:Detritus Seven, acknowledges that he's so evil that he'd go to Hell even as a robot. He makes it clear that he's proud of his role in the invasion of Vulcunite, as well as his oppression of the miners and genocide of the Kolfos]].

** Shao Kahn. One of his interactions with GuestFighter Franchise/{{Spawn}} in ''VideoGame/MortalKombat11'' sees the Kahn proudly boast "And you can't beat that!" after Al tells him that he's "sinned on a scale reserved for gods."

* ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfSpyro'': Malefor, the BigBad, has absolutely no problems with his title as The Dark Master and, in fact, took the name himself. He's also a third sphere version intending to destroy the world. Unlike most examples of this trope, he's played ''dead serious'' and is pure terror.
