** Season 8: The most complicated season, with a huge BigBadEnsemble, including [[TheBaroness Tess Mercer]], [[TheManBehindTheMan Faora]], [[EvilCripple Lex]], and DiscOneFinalBoss [[OmnicidalManiac Brainiac]] all vying for the role. All of them have their own agendas, and the [[{{Chessmaster}} complicated plans]] to back it up. Yet when [[EvilerThanThou the smoke clears]] it's SerialKiller and {{Antihero}} [[DrivenToVillainy Davis Bloome]] and his SuperpoweredEvilSide [[PersonOfMassDestruction Doomsday]] who step up to the plate as TheHeavy, providing most of the drama in the season's latter half, and serving as the FinalBoss to boot. Arguably a subversion of the classic BigBad set-up, with the obvious physical threat being much more of a problem than a small army of schemers.

** Season 6: Warren, Jonathan and Andrew, "The Trio", are the decoy {{Big Bad}}s, but then Willow [[BewareTheNiceOnes snaps out]] and becomes the Big Bad after Tara's death. [[WordOfGod Joss Whedon has also claimed]] that "life" was the Big Bad of Season 6.

** Series 5 ''and'' 6: "The Silence", the agency responsible for the cracks in time and the first BigBad in the revival to have an arc spanning more than one series. Whoever or whatever it is has been more involved with the whole series (and thus likely bigger and badder) than any other previous {{Big Bad}}.

* Arguably, WARLORD SHANK (that's the only way to pronounce his name) from SpaceCases, who made the most appearances of any villain and was in both Season Finales.

* FarScape: A succession of {{Big Bad}}s. First it's Crais, then Scorpius, then Grayza, who eventually shares the limelight with the Scarran Emperor. Note that each of these get progressively more epic and ambitious.

** In [[PostScriptSeason Season Six]], there is no new Big Bad yet, but the best contenders so far are either [[ManipulativeBastard Crowley]] or [[{Jerkass}} Raphael]].

It isn't until the finale when the leader of the Otheres is revealed to be Benjamin Linus, aka the man who posed as Henry Gale for much of the season.
