* Toothless from ''WesternAnimation/HowToTrainYourDragon'' has a cute appearance and spends several portions of the film acting like a cute cuddly pet. But he's also, to quote his character sheet, "a Night Fury, a LightningBruiser phantom dragon nicknamed 'the unholy offspring of Lightning and Death.'"

* ''WesternAnimation/TheMask'':
** Stanley Ipkiss is friendly, nice, sweet, kind and is adorable at times but he is a {{Papa Wolf}} as he cares very much about Milo which Pretorius learns the hard way.
** The Mask is more adorable than Stanley as he is confident and unafraid who is a charming man who does get most women attracted to him despite how things went at first. He also cares about his friends which he is a sweetheart to them. He can also act like a child at times which makes him even more adorable but he is a powerful RealityWarper and intelligent genius as he uses both of these things to fight off the supervillains who attack his friends and the people who live in Edge City with him therefore showing he is a dangerous man when on a task to be a superhero.

* ''WesternAnimation/SofiaTheFirst''. regardless her age and the target audience, Sofia has been in a lot of adventures that involve from restore Elena into her rightful throne getting rid of Shuriki, a quite dangerous sorceress, to stop the Evil vor....

* All main 6 kids in ''[[WesternAnimation/BlinkyBill The Adventures Of Blinky Bill]]'' become cute badasses after the Extraordinary Excursion in season 2. How they survived all that despite being kids. Just so badass.

* WesternAnimation/WildKratts:

** Special credit goes to KidHero Finn who is adorable, and powerful enough to power a machine that can flip the Earth.

** Princess Bubblegum is the sweet, polite ruler of the Candy Kingdom, who is made of sugar. She also wouldn't hesitate to rip off your limbs and literally stomp on your heart if she needed to.

** [[AffirmativeActionGirl Toph]] is the [[CheerfulChild cutest little girl in the world]]. Never satisfied by melting hearts, she also decided to become the strongest Earthbender in the world, so she could ''rip them out''. Example-- little blind girl who weighs all of a pound, can [[CuteBruiser crush a steel sword in her hands like it's a Coca-Cola can.]] Effectively, what would happen if a Skipper doll became a LightningBruiser.

** [[TheHero Aang]] himself. Sweet and innocent, with eyes some {{anime}} characters would kill for, refuses to eat meat or kill even the most evil...and he can go [[BewareTheNiceOnes Avatar State]] on you if you hurt one of his friends.

** Let's not forget Katara. Cute and compassionate 14-year-old girl who is amazingly proficient at waterbending? She's an adorable ass-kicker too!

** Korra's EstablishingCharacterMoment take place with a DynamicEntry, where she [[DishingOutDirt Earthbends]] a wall [[ThereWasADoor across the room]], [[NoIndoorVoice loudly and proudly]] proclaims herself the Avatar''[[note]][[MemeticMutation And that you gotta DEAL with it!]][[/note]]'', and demonstrates by bending three elements at once. ''[[PintsizedPowerhouse She's four at that time.]]'' As a teenager, she's sturdily built, sweet-faced, energetic, and prone to occasionally pouting (read: still cute).

** Bolin is baby-faced, wide-eyed, [[{{Keet}} exuberant]], and generally dorky. After establishing himself in Book 1 as an [[UnskilledButStrong entirely competent, if not too well-trained, earthbender]], he [[spoiler:pulls a BigDamnHeroes moment just in time to prevent [[ArchnemesisDad Asami's father]] from invoking the OffingTheOffspring trope]] in the finale. And from the season 3 finale onwards, [[spoiler:he can [[MagmaMan lavabend]].]]

** Twilight Sparkle is the pony equivalent of [[ComicBook/XMen Jean Grey]], down to the huge power and even more powerful mentor. Can levitate massive weights, teleport, and ''reverse gravity''. All of which she foregoes when a hydra threatens her friends, and she decides to ''charge at it'' instead.
** Fluttershy is normally a quiet, timid pegasus who is a FriendToAllLivingThings, but '''DO NOT''' hurt or otherwise threaten her friends. Accomplishments include staring down a cockatrice ''[[TakenForGranite as it was turning her to stone]]'', taming Cerberus, and glaring down a dragon hundreds of times her size.
** Rainbow Dash for [[LeeroyJenkins rushing in at every possible threat]], plus being the only pony who can fly fast enough to make a sonic boom. Worth noting that she ''kicked'' the above-mentioned dragon.
** Rarity, the most [[ProperLady prim and proper]] of the Mane Six, has one reaction to a manticore charging at her: ''kick it in the face''. Despite acting delicate, she's demonstrated proficiency at martial arts more than a few times. Her manipulative cunning is also not to be underestimated.
** Applejack lacks the special powers of her pegasus and unicorn friends, but she can be relied on to handle a dangerous situation at least as well as any of the others. Her daily routine is kicking apple trees to dislodge the fruit; she can also kick small objects through the air hard enough to use as projectile weapons.
** [[LifeOfTheParty Pinkie Pie]] is usually a comic relief character who bounces along but in the big fight scene at the end of Season 2, she started to harness her [[CloudCuckoolander weirdness]] towards being awesome. DO NOT break a Pinkie promise, or else she will hunt you [[ImplacableMan to the ends of Equestria]], screaming with the VoiceOfTheLegion, to exact retribution.
** Princess Luna is cute... [[PhysicalGod while accidentally stomping the ground hard enough to crack it and manipulating the weather with a thought to emphasize what she is saying.]] Then there's her '''[[NoIndoorVoice ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE!!!]]'''
** Starlight Glimmer. An anti-heroine, she matches alicorn Twilight in magic and likely one of the most powerful unicorns in Equestria. More emphasis on the "adorable" part after her HeelFaceTurn, where she adopts a more unique manestyle and is overall a much happier, more pleasant pony with a socially awkward personality.

* The 5th season of ''WesternAnimation/SamuraiJack'' introduces Ashi, who was initially one of the titular character's enemies, especially since it was revealed that she's [[spoiler:one of the Daughters of Aku]], but after her redemption when Jack saved her and told her the truth about her old life, she became much more benevolent than she was initially modelled as before, and even then, she was still able to fight others with her combat skills, [[spoiler:which includes both her mother the High Priestess and her father Aku]].

** [[ThePollyanna Butters Scotch.]] Often overlaps with BadassUnintentional, as so many of his actions are done with the most innocent and childlike of intentions.

** [[LovableSexManiac Kenny McCormick]] has sacrificed himself to save his friends and the world on multiple occasions, and is an adorable 10 year old in an orange parka. Comes off cuter when you don't know what he's saying though. It becomes more prominent when you see his [[SuperpoweredAlterEgo superhero persona]] as [[NinetiesAntiHero Mysterion.]]

* WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants. Yup, he's an adorable little guy who's saved the day a couple of times.
* ''WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse'' has the Crystal Gems, who are all adorable in one way or another, and fight to protect Earth. As of ''Sworn to the Sword'', we can also add Connie, who is a sweet, nerdy twelve-year-old human who - after some sword training with Pearl - proves capable of beating multiple Holo-Pearls in thick fog, and is given a sword the same size as herself [[spoiler:(the sword of Rose Quartz)]] for the revised opening credits.
** Steven himself is angling for this category by being a cute, bubbly little boy with SuperStrength and an ever-increasing grasp of his own gem abilities.
** Lapis Lazuli also counts, being a barefoot, ethereal-looking Gem who's scarcely taller than Steven and wears an outfit with a ribbon on it. She can manipulate and control ''the entire planet's ocean at once, even while injured.''
** Peridot is an Adorkable ActionSurvivor who managed to outpace pursuers behind enemy lines, jury-rig a wrecked space ship into a death trap, fix a communications tower that took three-gem fusions to destroy, and at one point kidnap Steven '''out of his own home''' with nothing but her wits and the technological prosthetics she came with. [[spoiler: And then she discovers her [[ExtraOreDinary metal powers]].]]
