No meta moment, see this query.

* While, aside from Shinji's Level 12 Synchro and Tsukikage's awesome ninja skills, the duel was quite bland, Shinji gets a crowning moment for his rousing speeches, tearing down all pretenses and sugarcoating about the Friendship Cup and the City's society, and getting the whole audience of Commons to root for him, shouting words of rebellion in front of not just the audience in the stadium, but presumably everyone who was watching the Cup on TV. Also counts as a meta moment of awesome, as this is actually the most direct way the franchise has addressed such a real issue as social inequality. Even in ''5D's'', the abysmal situation of the people in Satellite wasn't solved by a revolution, nor the heroes had ever tried to guide the people of Satellite to fight against their oppressors.

* A meta one for Ray when Yuya reveals that the four Dimension Dragons are actually ''scared'' of her. The strongest monsters of their respective summoning methods are scared of her. That is incredible.

[[folder:Meta]]
* In general, one for the writing staff who are able to routinely surprise the fandom despite releasing spoiler summaries ahead of time and releasing screenshots before the episode airs.
* In Episode 1, we have a CMOA for the production team in using two monsters that haven't seen any screen time in a duel since the Duelist Kingdom Arc of ''Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters'': Swamp Battleguard and Lava Battleguard, even if it was to set up for a Tribute Summon. Just goes to show that even through all the emphasis on archetypes and new summoning systems (Synchro, Xyz, and now Pendulum) that Konami and TV Tokyo haven't forgotten the monsters and sets that started the game.
* That the female lead even duels. The only other girl that has been in the spotlight and duels regularly is Aki. And even then, when her spotlight got taken by Crow, she is reduced to a mere cheerleader via {{Chickification}}.
* In grand Yu-Gi-Oh! tradition, the main characters have cards no other player has. Be it the Egyptian God Cards, the Signer Dragons, the Neos/Neo-Spacian family, or the Number cards, this unique privilege can, at times, makes the characters seem overpowered. The same thing happened in ''ARC-V'' with Pendulum Summon, and we actually get to see people point out 'that's cheating'. This theme, while somewhat touched on in Zexal with the Number cards, took a while to be brought up. ''ARC-V'' did it far more explicitly at the series' beginning!
* In episode 3, it is mentioned that there are classes at the Leo Duel School that teach Synchro Summoning and Xyz Summoning. ''ZEXAL'' quietly ignored the existence of Synchro Monsters, and many feared that the same would happen to both of them once ''ARC-V'' came around. It's a great thing to see it doesn't happen!
* Sora's Fusion Summoning. This is huge as ''5D's'' and ''ZEXAL'' almost never shown other special summons to focus on their new summoning methods (Synchro and Xyz, respectively). That the producers decided to focus on another Special Summon besides Pendulum is simply amazing. FridgeBrilliance sets in when you remember that Pendulum Summoning can easily be used in tandem with older summoning methods.
* Normally cards from the anime and TCG/OCG cards tend not to overlap, most Archetypes such as Hieratics getting a token cameo at best. Not so with ''ARC-V'', as in Episode 9, Hokuto explicitly uses a Constellar deck, including performing an Xyz Change into Constellar Ptolemy M7. For those who've always lamented how few of these cool Archetypes never showed up in the anime, this is truly an awesome moment.
* Yaiba reintroduces Synchro Summoning to the Yu-Gi-Oh anime in epic fashion by summoning both X-Saber Souza and XX-Saber Gottoms in ''one'' turn. They even kept the Synchro Summon animation similar to the one from ''5D's''.
* Reji proves his merit by doing something any other duelist in canon has yet to do; use FOUR advanced Special Summoning methods in one duel (Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, and Pendulum).
* The re-appearance of the D-Wheel, surprising many older fans.
* If you think Odd-Eyes looks kind of cool, take a look at [[http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Beast-Eyes_Pendulum_Dragon Beast-Eyes]] [[http://i.imgur.com/KQIJQLl.jpg Pendulum Dragon]] and [[http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20140910083321/yugioh/images/2/22/RuneEyesPendulumDragon-SECE-JP-OP.png Rune-Eyes Pendulum Dragon,]] the Fusion evolutions of Odd-Eyes. They look awesome!
* Mieru's reintroducing Ritual Summoning to the anime (Last seen for a brief moment by Kaito in ''ZEXAL'') and being the first dedicated Ritual user in a long while (since Asuka in ''GX''). The Ritual Summoning animation is even more awesome, a circle of fire representing the Levels, a beam of light reaching to the sky, and the Ritual Monster finally descending, [[Anime/YuGiOh5Ds Aesir-style.]]
* Sawatari bringing the Yosenju Archetype to the spotlight, and actually manages to corner Yuya in their duel.
* Bringing back all of the previous summoning methods was awesome. Creating a plot around warring alternate dimensions for each one? Can you say holy shit?! (Oh, and if the series is still in keeping with ''GX'', the plot could potentially wind up involving up to '''twelve''' of these, maybe even including the ones we've already seen like the Dark World, Astral/Barian, Neo-Space etc. Just how far is this going to go?!)
* Having Yugo Synchro Summon while using his D-Wheel was an awesome blast from the past.
* The Battle Royale, a callback to the original Battle City. Fought in a city? Check- the duels can occur anywhere in Maiami City. Ante-rule? A variant. Some of the Action Cards are Pendulum Cards, and losers forfeit their Pendulum Cards to the winner based on the number they have wagered. Rare-Hunter group? Sora has been sent back to Standard with an elite task force called the Obelisk Force. All told, it is a very obvious reference to the original Battle City.
* Obelisk Force. True, they're on the side of Academia, but this is also the first time since ''5D's'' that the Egyptian God Cards have been mentioned.
* With Yuya Xyz Summoning, he is now the protagonist that has used the most different kinds of Special Summoning, Pendulum, Fusion and Xyz.
* Episode 45 is this for being the best animated so far.
* The confirmation that ''JACK ATLAS'' will re-appear, and the Synchro dimension possibly being ''5D's'' a few years down the line.
* Episode 54 for being a major callback to ''5D's''. Even ending with the words, Riding Duel, Acceleration!
* The change in the opening in episode 54 replacing Action Duels with Riding Duels! Seeing two dragons fighting looking a lot like Stardust and Red Dragon Archfiend.
* Episode 55 was a huge call back of ''5D's'' cards with Jutte Fighter/Knight, Gate Blocker and Lost Star Descent. The awesome is later continued when Crow Duels for the first time, using two of the old Blackwings (albeit the lesser known ones) right from the start.
* In episode 64 they combined Riding Duels with Action Duels mixing the two series unique dueling styles for an awesome result.
* The preview for episode 71 showing that Yuya will use [[LightTheWay Odd-Eyes Saber Dragon]].
* Episode 76 has ''Goyo Guardian'' showing up again, despite having been banned in the OCG for years. It's especially awesome on the meta level, because the ones who are using it are Security--and they are very, very morally questionable as a whole.
* As of episode 79, Yuya is the ''first'' protagonist to use all the[[note]]then current[[/note]] Extra Deck summoning types!
* For the audiences' entertainment, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7D-o22PCztk the seiyuus for Yugo and JACK ATLAS square off!]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcL1DKZT3k8 JACK ATLAS' seiyuu also challenges Yuto's seiyuu!]]
* ''Kaito'', ''Edo'', and ''Asuka'' have come to ''ARC-V'' for the Xyz arc! [[AndThereWasMuchRejoicing And there was much rejoicing.]]
* Roget's Japanese VA, Masamichi Kitada, deserves a freaking Emmy for his performance in episode 94. Not only does he manage to make Roget's arrogance and confidence in his master plan feel real, he manages to make Roget's VillainousBreakdown when it all goes to hell both hilarious and ''utterly amazing'' to watch. It continues into the further episodes as well; Roget has clearly lost his mind by this point.
* After an entire series of Antique Gear Hound-Dogs, Roget using good old Antique Gear Soldier as Fusion Material was a real treat.
* By Episode 103, ARC-V Asuka's debut brings Cyber Angel (again) into the spotlight, while also increasing the amount of Ritual Summoner in the series!
* The fact that '''Creator/LittleKuriboh''' has praised this series, [[http://teamfourstar.com/podcast/tfs-podcast-episode-15-cage-match/ calling it the best since]] ''[[Anime/YuGiOh5ds 5D's]]''.[[note]]Despite joking that ''[=5D's=]'' is "card games on motorcycles", he has admitted to enjoying it and is sincere in his endorsement of ''ARC-V''. He is also hesistant of overusing the "card games on motorcycle" joke, and has indirectly praised ''5D's'' in the YGOTAS a few times.[[/note]][[https://65.media.tumblr.com/0b41f93fb9052888c272ccf49d3b62ba/tumblr_o5lgvqADT21u84ds5o1_1280.png Here is a more recent statement of how he ranks the individual series]] (from March 2016).
** He follows this up on June of 2017 saying that he really loves Arc-V because of [[https://youtu.be/FO9hvZffXk8?t=7m45s Yuya and how much he relates to him.]]
* Episode 107 has an onslaught of old cards; the Tyler sisters' Amazoness monsters, Sayaka using Kotori's monsters (and even discarding DM-era Dancing Fairy!), and Allen using both Anna's Railway monsters and Limiter Removal.
* The Gladiator Beasts finally appearing on TV.
* By the end of the series, characters from all three previous spinoffs are sharing scenes. It's understated, yet awesome.
* As the foreshadowing entry on the main page shows, the writers are ''really'' good at understanding how the fans think and sneak in hints so they don't catch on it till a rewatch.
* A testament to the writers is how the fandom was unsure if Yuya would actually win against Yuri. Generally the fandom can tell how duels involving the protagonist will end but the fact the writers were able to create a situation when the fandom was evenly split tells volumes of their skill of understanding the fandom and tension.
* In the manga, Eve's Deck includes legendary monsters from the past series; a Phantasm Emperor Fusion Monster based on the Sangenma/Sacred Beasts, a Timelord/Time Machine God Synchro Monster, and Number XX, and Xyz Monster. Even in-universe Yuya recognizes how cool it is.
* If you are not happy with how Zarc was [[AntiClimaxBoss defeated]], a fan wrote an ''entire script from scratch'' that will end with Zarc's defeat in a legitimate duel. Who did he lose to? '''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUMPJ3c2Fis The previous four main protagonists!!!]]'''
