* Wario most certainly TookALevelInBadass in this game, which says a lot considering he was already one of the strongest characters in the Mario series. Not only has his strength increased immensely to the point he can carry enemies weighing undoubtedly hundreds of tons with complete ease, his average at best agility has sky rocketed; as he's faster than even Luigi on the ground and is capable of impressive acrobatics for any man let alone an absolute unit of a man like Wario. The can man piledrive a giant dinosaur(As in he can jump in the air, rapidly spins around while holding the enemy, and then piledrives them) into the floor or grab a large brute and spin around like a twister before tossing them away! Top it off with his LargeHam catchphrases ("I'm A Numbah ONE!", "Have A Rotten Day!") and it isn't hard to see why Wario carries this game personality wise.

** For that matter, there's the Japanese version's additions to the final boss fight. Normally an anti-climatic and repetitive fight in other versions, the Japanese version of the Black Jewel fight introduces a second phase. Once its health is down by half, an arena bell will chime, [[ThemeMusicPowerUp the theme from the game's trailer will start to play,]] and the Jewel will now fight Wario head on with several new attacks. Instead of tediously pelting the monster with the Spritelings, Wario can ''[[NoHoldsBarredBeatDown beat the ever-loving shit out of it with his bare hands,]]'' making the Black Jewel's crying all the more impactful.

* Wario proves his badass status by pummeling the final boss ObviouslyEvil Black Jewel so much it ''sheds tears'' before exploding. "I WIN! I WIN! HAHAHAHAHAHAAA!" For extra awesome, collect all the Spritelings and retrieve all of Wario's treasure to see his castle restored to its former glory in the ending.
