** In addition, Undisputed Era did not, notably, fall victim to the wrestling trope of a faction splitting up when the Heir Apparent gets championship opportunities over the Centerpiece (in this case, Adam Cole). The brotherhood held fast, with Cole being one of O'Reilly's most vocal supporters.

The brotherhood held fast, with Cole being one of O'Reilly's most vocal supporters. It wasn't until O'Reilly not only failed to beat Finn Bálor twice, but tried to court the champion who beat him into joining the Era, that Cole was set off the deep end and imploded the group out of disgust.

* Winning the very first War Games match in WWE is an impressive achievement. Winning said match as the clear underdogs is even more impressive. Cole, Fish, and O'Reilly were at a distinct disadvantage, due to [=SANiTY=] being much crazier and more unpredictable, and the team of the Authors of Pain and Roderick Strong having the size advantage. The Era had six incredibly pissed-off wrestlers gunning for them in a double steel cage, taking chair shots, chain shots, put through tables and thrown into the cage more times than one could count . . . and walked out the victors.

Added DiffLines:

* The Era are 2-2 when it comes to War Games, but they've become nearly synonymous with the match in NXT, as the group features in the men's match every year. No one has more experience inside War Games than the Undisputed Era.

* Kyle O'Reilly's Takeover 31 match against Wrestling/FinnBalor wasn't just a staggering 28 minutes of chain and submission wrestling from two of the very best in the game. No, it was a return to both men's New Japan Strong Style roots as many of their strikes landed painfully well - O'Reilly suffered a rib injury and knocked-out teeth, while Balor's jaw was broken in two places.

** Due to Bobby Fish's broken leg, Cole (nursing injured ribs from the ladder match) has to team with Kyle in a triple threat match for both the tag titles and the Dusty Rhodes Classic trophy. With the Authors of Pain taken down, Pete Dunne hits the Bitter End on O'Reilly and is ready for the pin...at which point Roderick Strong pulls off one of the greatest FaceHeelTurn in NXT history. Kicking Dunne in the head, Strong lays him out, then puts O'Reilly on top of Dunne for the pin. As Cole and O'Reilly react in delighted shock, Strong pulls the UE armband off of Cole and slides it onto his own arm to officially join the group. They join Fish in celebrating all their gold.

Cole lowers the knee pad for another Last Shot, only for Dunne to avoid it and give him the Bitter End this time. Ricochet finishes Cole off with a 450 Splash, and both champs pin Cole, giving their team the victory.

* Kyle and Strong's hellacious match with Moustache Mountain (Tyler Bate and Trent Seven) on an episode of NXT TV in July 2018. It displayed magnificent storytelling with O'Reilly and Strong brutally attacking and injuring Seven's knee to the point where Bate threw in the towel, allowing them to regain the NXT Tag Team Championship. The match was so praised that it earned the brand its fourth five-star match within six months.
* Although they fell short, over the course of 47 minutes, the [=WarGames=] Match against the team of War Raiders, Ricochet, and Pete Dunne was an absolute joy to watch, with so many epic moments from both sides. For the entire countdown, see here.:
** A brilliant move from Bobby Fish, as the last man for UE to enter the cage, he took the lock of his own shark cage and proceeded to the other cage, locked it in, and threw the key away! The last man for the other team, Pete Dunne, could do nothing but watch as he waited for the officials to find a way to break open the cage as UE took advantage of the numbers game to wear down the rest of Dunne's teammates. Eventually the officials found bolt cutters to break open the cage, and Dunne proceeded to introduce more weapons inside the cage, evening the odds. Dunne enters the cage, and [=WarGames=] officially starts.
