*** NotSoFastBucko Turns out Anthem threw both Corgan and Dixie out installed longtime Anthem executive vice president Ed Nordholm as president, which means they're in charge alone!
* After the above, Anthem knew they wanted a wrestling mind in charge to take over the company. So at first they trusted the original founder Wrestling/JeffJarrett. What followed was the infiltration of the Global Force brand, the heated IP custody battle with the Hardys over Broken Matt which affected both their brief ROH run and their return to WWE, and ultimately a string of drunken behavior culminating in him embarrassing Impact during its crossover with AAA's Triplemania show in Mexico. After he was given the boot and the GFW rebrand was killed off, Impact promptly reversed course on the Broken gimmick, relinquishing full ownership to the Hardys, then revealed the return of both Wrestling/DonCallis and Scott D'Amore to run day-to-day operations. Like Corgan before them, Callis and D'Amore have taken ambitious broad strokes to make Impact continue to feel like a partly-cinematic yet lively character-driven fight league. They've also strengthened the company's ties to both AAA and CRASH in Mexico, run a crossover card at Wrestlecon with Wrestling/LuchaUnderground, and with Callis as a NJPW English commentator at the same time, they've even begun to slowly mend the fences in the company's broken relationships to both NJPW and ROH.

It was the World X-Cup Elimination Match: a 12-man elimination tag match between the four teams competing in the World X-Cup tournament that was pretty much 20-plus minutes of nonstop action. The underlying story of the match was that Team Japan suffered early loses of two of its members, forcing Yoshino to go the rest of the match alone. ** Long version? When Corgan went into business with TNA in the first place he did so under an "equity pledge agreement", where if TNA became insolvent, in more debt than the company's worth he would assume the voting rights on Dixie's shares and thus be in complete control of the company. His loaning money to the company to ensure that it could keep running shows was also a move to rack up the debt obligations. However, Dixie has denied the company's insolvency in order to keep Corgan from exercising his options and exercising his right to assume control. The pile-on of lawsuits and other complaints, AKA "multiple events of default," have allowed him to legally question TNA's claim of not being insolvent by which Dixie delayed his motion to assume control. That is the purpose of his lawsuit: to get the state to call bullshit on Dixie's solvency claims. He even filed a restraining order injunction so they can't sign contracts and sell off assets without his say-so in the meantime. He has outsmarted Dixie Carter in RealLife about as thoroughly as Immortal did in kayfabe, but where Immortal wanted to either run the company into the ground or cash out and pillage it, he's here to stop Dixie from doing so.

When Corgan went into business with TNA in the first place he did so under an "equity pledge agreement", where if TNA became insolventin more debt than the company's worth, he would assume the voting rights on Dixie's shares and thus be in complete control of the company. He has outsmarted Dixie Carter in RealLife about as thoroughly as Immortal did in kayfabe, but in this case he's doing it where Immortal wanted to stop her from either running run the company into the ground or cashing cash out and pillaging it.pillage it, he's here to stop Dixie from doing so.

Short version? His lawsuit isn't another pile-on to financially rape TNA, but yet another step on his own personal mission to save it.

* The #FINALDELETION between Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy, involving Jeff fighting Drones (sorry, AERIAL ASSAULT ROBOTS) with a guitar, Matt having a hologram, driving over Jeff's lawn with a lawnmower and drawing shapes in it, Senor Benjamin (Matt's Hispanic housekeeper), Matt playing the violin (claiming it was given to him by close personal friend Stradivari) to summon Jeff and culminating in possibly the most cinematic, gloriously crazy match ever put in tape. And by popular demand, it's now available to watch entirely!
** It even got its detractors to start talking about TNA again.

* Another man cemented as a main eventer by the Angle Retirement Tour? "The Destroyer" Lashley. Sure, he already had a dominant run as the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, but after being disassociated from the BDC storyline and having his title reign preempted by Destination America in favor of Angle, Lashley was moved down into the high-midcard borderline as a babyface. Since beating Angle in his final match in TNA and then turning back heel on his own, Lashley has been on a tear of destruction, beating the piss out of everyone in sight, attacking guys in training gyms, knocking off nearly all his foes cleanly and not only taking back the TNA World title, but also acquiring the X-Division and King of the Mountain titles and dumping them aside just to show how much of a beast he is. What's more, his mic skills have improved drastically since the last time he was champion, no longer needing any type of mouthpiece like MVP to come across as an arrogant elite fighting champion jerkass. And his unceremonious dumping of the two midcard titles were used to set up the next X-Division Champion, popular rising star DJ Z, on a mission to beat him for legitimacy as well as replace the much-maligned KOTM belt with a new concept called the TNA Grand Champion.

** Just let that sink in. A man regarded by many as the God of alt-rock is such a wrestling fan, that he goes to work for them not as a special guest star, but as someone dedicated to saving the company from itself.
* The Kurt Angle Retirement Series is this. In particular, his two matches with Drew Galloway. The first one is a great stand out and even was the main event. The second match, while not as grand, was just as wonderful. Not only did these matches show that the aging Angle still had some gas in the tank, but cemented Galloway as a future main eventer.

* The creation of Decay took two wrestlers who needed a boost (Abyss and Crazzy Steve), added in a complete newcomer (Rosemary/Courtney Rush) and resulted in one of TNA's most enthralling heel stables yet. Rosemary especially stands out as someone who is fantastic at playing a character, no matter what situation she's handed.
** In addition, thanks to Mr. Corgan, they get to use "The Nobodies" by Music/MarilynManson as their theme.
* It finally happened. Dixie Carter is out.

handed, and Steve's unprecedented intellect and understanding of his gimmick as well as the understated longtime bond between the two help sell the connection as something special. Being alongside them is widely considered the most interesting that Abyss has been in years. In addition, thanks to Mr. Corgan, they get to use "The Nobodies" by Music/MarilynManson as their theme.
* It finally happened. Dixie Carter is out. The new president? Billy goddamn Corgan. The rock star who stepped in creatively and financially to help save TNA, the man responsible for green-lighting heel Destroyer Lashley, Broken Matt & Brother Nero, and Decay as described above, along with keeping other acts strong like Mike and Maria Kanellis-Bennett, Drew Galloway, and Wrestling/EC3, finally has the primary reins of operational power over the Impact Wrestling product. How bright is TNA's future? That much is uncertain. But now it can be said with confidence that it has one.
