** The "No Punching" rumor turned out to not be true. The production team just decided to keep punching and kicking to a minimum to make fight scenes more interesting. They wanted to take full advantage of Spiderman's movements and show off what the animators could do.

They could've easily cut costs by hiring American actors to play the X-Men, but the production team apparently wanted to stay true to continuity by hiring the same cast as the X-Men cartoon.

Even he was respectful of the Kingpin as he was arrested and led into an ambulance by the police, and this was treated as quite the important moment.
