** And that's '''exactly''' what Anubis does. After tanking Kayura's sure-kill attack, Star Sword Scream, he's still standing. Kayura has an OhCrap reaction, but Badamon is unimpressed, scoffing that there is nothing Anubis can do to break his possession of Kayura. Unfortunately, he was TemptingFate, and Anubis uses his Quake With Fear to turn Kayura's power back on her to help purge Badamon from her body. As he writhes in pain as he feels his hold on Kayura slipping away, Badamon yells "CURSE YOU, ANUBIS!!!" before the addition of Kayura being dressed in Anubis' armor fully purges Badamon from her body and he floats away and disappears, reappearing before a [[RageBreakingPoint thoroughly-enraged]] Talpa over losing the LoneSurvivor of the Ancient One's clan back to the side of good. At the cost of his life to save Kayura, Anubis knows it was WorthIt.

** Special thanks should go to White Blaze as well. While Anubis is dealing with his own means to escape the tower he was imprisoned in after he was captured with the Ronins and Dark Warlords by a Badamon-possessed Lady Kayura, when she's about to secure the Jewel of Life from Yuli and secure victory for Talpa, she has the Jewel for all of about a split-second upon clenching her hand over it, before the NearVillainVictory is ripped away by White Blaze forcing her to let go of it to avoid a lunge from his paw. After which, ''he'' grabs the Jewel in his mouth and makes it clear that if Badamon-Kayura wants the Jewel, they'll have to GoThroughMe, and makes certain to stall for as long as possible until Anubis arrives to save Kayura in a HeroicSacrifice.

Armor Piercing Slap is no longer a trope

* For the Yuli-haters, it's when Ryo slaps him. [[ArmorPiercingSlap Across the face.]]

* Anubis calls forth his armor again. And proceeds to ''wreck the shit out of Talpa's plans.'' '''All of them.'''

* In ''Message'', Sage's handling of Suzunagi demonstrates exactly why wisdom/grace is his virtue. He gets her to reveal her tragic backstory, legitimately sympathizes with it -- and then lays out for her exactly why she's wrong in a BreakingSpeech so effective it completely shatters her willpower. All without once lifting a finger to directly fight her (and in fact [[SheatheYourSword pointedly refusing to fight]] when she attempts to goad him into it).

* The dub tends to hand Rowen lines that were shocking reveals in the original and it makes him come off as CaptainObvious, but there are a few instances where he just handles problems the smart way. At one point he gets attacked in a subway tunnel and avoids the conflict entirely by jumping out and hanging from the tunnel roof and letting the train carry the mooks away.
