* Jerry showing some major growth after Space Beth reveals that she had sex with Earth Beth and they both loved it. While Jerry's initial response is to curl up into his "pillbug defense" that Rick installed for him, he later comes out of it on his own and calls out the Beths for their behavior. While he admits he shouldn't have used his Thanksgiving speech to say he'd kill himself if something were to happen to his marriage and apologizes for it, he very clearly makes it known to both Beths that they shouldn't have lied to him. He's not upset that the Beths slept together, he's upset they didn't keep him in the loop. This leads into Jerry bluntly goading the Beths into having sex while he watches, which is implied to turn into a threesome. Jerry not only held his ground for being treated poorly, he successfully played with Beth's superiority complex to have both of them make love while he watched.

After his screw-up causes everyone to return to their home universe, Rick realizes that the broken portal tech means "Weird Rick" the man he's been hunting for decades is now trapped. After grabbing Morty, Rick tracks him down to his hideout...which is filled to the brim with traps, a (pre-recorded) message meant to taunt [=Main!Rick=], and set to explode. His comment in the end implies he built the place specifically for the man that's been hunting him all these decades.

* Morty finds his Jerry is still alive back in the cronenberged dimension now a wandering hermit. He thinks they can just forget about the apocalypse he caused but Hermit Jerry didn’t. He brutally rips into Morty [[WhatTheHellHero for his callousness and bailing on his own dimension ''twice''.]] The kid is left in tears but it is so satisfying for anyone who thinks Morty should’ve faced the consequences for abandoning his own family. Don’t forget, he’s the one who caused the cronenberg dimension in the first place.

* Hermit Jerry telling Morty off [[WhatTheHellHero for his callousness and bailing on his own dimension.]] And Hermit Jerry by this point is pretty much satisfied with his new life while not letting Morty off the hook for what he’s done.

* Main Jerry telling off his original family after seeing that they have stagnated in their development, while the family he has been with has grown and gotten closer, stating that he's become an interdimensional traveler and they can kiss his ass.

* Meta-Example, but how many shows do ''you'' know that can explain and visualise the concept of quantum uncertainty in a way that makes sense and is interesting to watch? Kudos to them for being able to break down an ''exceedingly'' complicated realm of science to the level where a casual viewer can understand and laugh at it. Not only that, but think about the amount of extra effort that had to be done to make subtle differences between the multiple time fractures? Morty and Summer were drawn in opposite places for one, plenty of others have varying expressions and even entire movements, culminating in having to render up to ''64 realities at once''.
** The extra effort isn't just in the animation, but in the voice-acting. The double-tracking when the characters in various dimensions speak isn't just an effect, it's from slightly out of sync line-reads. How many alternate takes do you think Justin Roiland and Spencer Grammer did of their dialogue for ''this one episode?''

* A meta one; props to the staff for managing to convey Rick's familiarity with hive minds, Unity in particular, by having him very effortlessly hold conversation with Unity while the various bodies in it's system go about their business with neither of them missing a beat.

* On a meta-level, how about the fact that Rick, since he knows he's in a show, proved the audience that they were wrong about him? After the Season 2 finale, there were fans who speculated that Rick would get help in his escape from the Federation's prison. The top possibilities were that Morty and family would send the Butter Passing Robot to do the job (though no one ever explained how a little robot like that would be able it). Other believed that Unity would find out about Rick being in prison and break him out by taking over the guards. But what does Rick do? He breaks out on his own using his own genius and without any help. Not even Morty and Summer being in the episode helped out in his plan. If they had stayed home, Rick would have gotten the job done after taking over the body of his alien interrogated in the brain analyzer, both Summer and Morty wouldn't have been brought to the Citadel. Essentially, Rick showed the audience he could solve the problem on his own without any outside help.

* Creator/NathanFillion guest stars in the Season 3 premiere as an alien who Rick swaps minds with. Fillion does an amazing job of impersonating Justin Roiland's Rick, complete with the stutters and belches.
* After Season 3, the Internet waited breathlessly for news of Season 4, with months of almost complete silence. All Justin Roiland was able to confirm was that negotiations for future episodes had become "complicated", which triggered fears that Adult Swim might be having problems with the show. And then, in May 2018, fans finally got to see ''why'' the negotiations had become so complicated: the series had been renewed...for an astounding '''seventy more episodes'''! At the show's current pace of one ten-episode season every eighteen months, that would be enough to keep ''Rick and Morty'' on the air for well over a decade!

* Evil Morty spectacularly counters every escape plan the other Ricks attempt, mainly tainting the Portal Fluid and sabotaging "Operation Phoenix". Killing Rick C-137 would have been a satisfying bonus, but outsmarting him was as satisfying as wiping out the other Ricks. Plus, he ultimately won and escaped the now-destroyed Central Finite Curve to a new universe where Rick isn't the smartest being in the universe.
** It should be mentioned that in a multiverse purposefully engineered to ensure Rick is the smartest being alive in every infinite universe, a Morty outsmarted an entire society's worth of Ricks, including the Rickest Rick, and came out on top.
*** Just ''How'' Evil Morty Outsmarts Rick. Any overly-complex plan involving him leaves Rick several loopholes or opportunities to escape or turn the tables on Evil Morty, so instead, he prepares ''absolutely everything else'' he needs for his plan to work in the background, and only involves Rick at the literal last step, when its too late for him to change anything. In effect, he ''invokes'' YouCantThwartStageOne by making sure 'stage 1' is the extent of Rick's involvement in his plans. On top of that, he subtly manipulates both Rick and Morty throughout their dinner conversation to keep them both in the room so the Brain Scanner hidden in there can finish scanning Rick's mind for the information he needs, and even counts on the fact that Rick is smart enough to realise the possibility that he's being scanned, but is underestimating how ''much'' of his mind needs to be scanned, due to Evil Morty's semi-complete scan from their last face-to-face encounter, and thus unwittingly allows him to get what he wants from his mind under the belief he knows better than any trick Evil Morty could pull.
