* When "The Force Awakens" review finally dropped, he spent the first half of the running time taking the entertainment industry to task on a few things:
** First, he took Lucas to task for his passive-aggressive comments since selling the franchise to Disney.
** Then he takes to task writers of internet click-bait articles that still defend the "Star Wars" prequels and try to find narrative themes that aren't there.
** THEN he takes Hollywood to task for their tendencies towards franchises, remakes, reboots, sequels, and merchandising; especially since they all seem to be telling the same stories about doomsday weapons and villains seeking revenge.
** When he finally talks about "The Force Awakens" itself, Plinkett actually isn't too harsh at first aside from some continuity or logic errors. What he does take umbrage with is tons of missed story opportunities (like actually seeing Kylo Ren turn evil and the rise of the First Order) in favor of just retelling "A New Hope" again but with a new cast.

!!Half in the Bag:
* Their Half in the Bag video on Adam Sandler's ''Jack and Jill''. A vicious dissecting on the running themes in Sandler movies, whether it's the blatant ProductPlacement or Sandler shoe-horning in his friends from SNL, and that was just the beginning. They went on to explain how Sandler is the biggest scam artist in Hollywood. Ending it all with what can be described as "Jack and Jill in a nutshell" when Fake Plinkett's twin sister (Fake Plinkett in a wig) comes to visit while Mike & Jay purposely shove products in front of the camera.
** The Awesomeness was enough for RogerEbert's editor Jim Emerson to do a [[http://www.rogerebert.com/scanners/adam-sandlers-house-of-cruelty follow-up article]] to the Half in the Bag review.
* The review of ''Paranormal Activity 4'' is an excellent explanation of what makes [[ApocalypticLog found footage]] movies like the ''Film/TheBlairWitchProject'' and ''Film/{{Cloverfield}}'' scary; that they aren't so much about the occasional 'jump scares' as the [[DevelopingDoomedCharacters psychological breakdown of the characters]] when under threat. Mike compares the Paranormal Activity movies to Haunted House rides since there is nothing happening except for the scares. Jay compares the movies unfavourably to ''TheFastAndTheFurious'' series, saying that while some of those movies may be corny at least he can understand why people would want to go and see them. In the end they both conclude that Paranormal 4 makes ''Jack and Jill'' (see above) look like a masterpiece of effort.
* The reviews of ''RedTails'' and ''The People Vs. George Lucas'' make good serious counterparts to the Plinkett ''StarWars'' reviews, and at times are practically a film school analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of GeorgeLucas, including a pretty intellectual discussion over the morality of ExecutiveMeddling and whether or not Lucas has become a TrollingCreator.
* They call out the homophobic jokes in ''A Haunted House'' as bullying.
* Watching the first three ''Franchise/{{TRANSFORMERS}}'' films '''''at the same time''''' shows how formulaic the films really have been. The same scenes happen all at the ''same exact time'' in each film.

Removing because Plinket is completely off-base here - what he calls hypocrisy is really just Picard making a distinction between evicting people and kidnapping them.

* In the Star Trek: Insurrection review, Plinkett points out Picard's massive hypocrisy simply by playing clips of him giving a speech to Wesley on why Wesley's actions in one of The Next Generation episodes was wrong over clips of Picard doing the exact same thing in Insurrection.

* The clip at the end of the ''Revenge of the Sith'' review that juxtaposes Luke's decision to trust in his own abilities and the Force rather than fancy targeting computers in ''A New Hope'' with Lucas's increased reliance on CGI and technical wizardry while filming the prequels. The entire comparison is incredibly clever and the editing brilliant. The whole moment manages to be, frankly, emotionally affecting.
