* As Kurogiri notes that Agent of J is supposed to be a homeroom teacher for the general studies course, he wonders why she was chosen to aid in rescue training. [[ExplainExplainOhCrap And then he remembers her wife, Foresight.]]
* As Izuku, Tsuyu, and Minoru face down a group of water-themed villains, Minoru notices smoke coming from Izuku's hands. He's just awakened the third of the One For All Quirks, Smokescreen.
* While speaking with Toshi, Nezu notes that Izuku was once able to track a serial killer using just ''fifteen seconds of video footage''. He supplemented that with news feeds and online posts, but that is still impressive.
* Nezu lays out to Toshi all the various facets of Izuku's Regeneration Quirk, making it clear just how impossible to kill the kid seems. Toshi realizes that Izuku's body is perfect for awakening all the Quirks attached to One For All.
* When dealing with the water villains, Izuku starts by running across the water so fast he ''hydroplanes''. He then begins running in circles to create a whirlpool, following by a shockwave-generating uppercutting to entrap the villains in a waterspout. Tsuyu and Minoru follow up by throwing Minoru's sticky spheres into the new whirlpool to make sure the villains can't go anywhere.

* When voting for class representative, Izuku gets five votes in this story! Two more than canon. He then vindicates the decision when Danger Sense picks up on the UA infiltration and is the one to get the entire cafeteria into order, rather than Tenya like canon.
* While Death Arms is introduced as the first Quirkless hero in this story (unlike canon where he had a SuperStrength Quirk), he's still very much a hero who [[PowersDoTheFighting let's his Object of Power do most of the work.]] Agent of J shows just how effective a Quirkless hero can be without using superpowers, instead relying on the lessons of her digital teacher, Miss J.
