* Makoto is the one who brought the Master Detectives to Kanai Ward as part of his agenda to become the city's overall ruler, while the detectives and the player are none the wiser, effectively making him the reason the entire game happens.

* The entire FinalBoss battle shows ''why'' Yuma is Number One of the WDO. It's essentially a weaponized Deduction Denouement and RoleReversalBoss of a Reasoning Death Match where ''you'' are the one throwing statements, and since they're all factually true, [[UnblockableAttack Makoto has to stand there and take them.]] This eventually culminates in several {{Quick Time Event}}s where you cut ''the button prompts themselves'', a quick return of GOD Shinigami to shut down a OneWingedAngel attempt, and by the end of it Makoto is in such a VillainousBreakdown his noise statements can't even make it all the way to you.

* In chapter 0, Chief Yakou Furio's very first appearance has him interfering with [[DirtyCop Swank's]] unlawfully arresting Yuma and managing to persuade the [[DirtyCop Dirty Corrupt Cop]] into letting Yuma go, and, surprisingly, it WORKS. It goes to show that if Yakou hadn't learned the truth about Zilch and the murders of the five detectives, Yuma would've been wrongfully locked up, or worse, Executed.

* [[TheChessmaster Makoto]] and [[TheDogBitesBack Martina]] uniting together take down [[IOwnThisTown Yomi]] just as he's about to gun down Yuma and Vivia in Dr. Huesca's critical lab. Makoto intervenes the situation with a file of trades that he had found in Yomi's room, while Martina applies the common jurisdiction rights to him as the justification to arrest him with, which serves as a fitting counterargument against him since he transformed Kanai Ward to work ''against'' those rigts, and due to being considered a criminal by those common rights, he desperately [[VillainousBreakdown declares bloody murder]] and [[WeWillMeetAgain promises that he'll return eventually]] as his Peacekeeper henchmen take him away.

* Though they're more of a background detail, Halara's flawless athleticism while in the Mystery Labyrinth during Chapter 1 is impressive to watch. The initial fall may have caught them off-guard, of course, but the stunts performed in the Mystery Labyrinth are far too dexterous to ignore and show that Halara isn't fooling around with their capabilities. To contextualize, Halara crouches down to stay stable on a spinning platform, lands feet first after falling upwards from the replica clocktower, and whenever they fall down into one of the four locked-room mystery replicas, they use purely their leg strength to land and aren't affected by the height of the fall at all.

After Vivia having [[KarmaHoudiniWarranty avoided being called out for his apathy in prior moments]], this can be satisfying to watch, even if Halara says it more as [[CruelToBeKind motivation more than anything else]].

** The first time, Halara shows up from [[WhatHappenedToTheMouse who knows where, finding Yuma who knows how]], and sends a 1-shien coin to distract the Peacekeeper about to attack Yuma for his intervention. After throwing the coin at the Peacekeeper's head, Halara has an opening to knock out the one blocking their way before jumping up and kicking the attacking Peacekeeper ''directly in the face'', then rushing around and punching out every other remaining one. Then after all the chaos, Halara picks up the coin and pretends nothing happened, glaring at Yuma and telling him off for “a reckless sense of justice.”

** The fourth and final time, Halara, once again, returns with the 1-shien coin from the first battle against the Peacekeepers, once again using it for Yuma’s sake. The coin hits one of the Peacekeepers next to Yomi, to his confusion, and Halara emerges from the dark hallway with Vivia next to them. Halara tells Vivia that he has to pay them 100 shien per each Peacekeeper to do all the combat work, to which he decides to help Halara out anyway. Unlike the first two battles involving large groups, however, Halara is overwhelmed and struggles to take them all on, especially in the enclosed space, but their ability to save Yuma, Desuhiko, and Fubuki regardless still makes the defense worth the effort.

* Halara’s combative saves throughout the game, which are all hard to dismiss or look away from. They show off their combat capabilities four total times.

** The second time, Halara is [[SayMyName called out to by Yuma]] after [[IGaveMyWord advising him that they’ll come to his aid when asked]], responding with a PreAsskickingOneLiner and falling down from, yet again, who knows where. Then Halara knocks out the Peacekeepers surrounding Yuma, dashing around and kicking down the rest, even kicking one so far that they end up falling into the water nearby. After that, Halara, once again, pretends nothing happened and takes out their signature red lollipop, calmly assuring Yuma afterward that they ''did'' promise they’d come for him when asked to.
