* As disturbing and heartbreaking as it is, Mark getting the upper hand in his fight with Angstrom and absolutely destroying him for hurting Debbie is CatharsisFactor incarnate.
* One has to give it to Debbie as while she understandably is scared for her and Olivers safety she spends every chance she has protecting the toddler and assuring him he will be okay.
* Debbie gives Levy a ReasonYouSuckSpeech pointing out that he's treating Mark as a villain but yet Angstrom is the only one threatening her and the innocent Oliver while trying to kill this version of Mark who is a hero who saved the world! She uses Levy's brief pause of shock to harm him and try to escape with Oliver. It gets her a severely broken arm for her trouble but it was a good effort.

* After one too many dimensional trips, Mark gets wise to Levy opening up portals for him to come back just for more torment. He doesn't jump through the last one, instead he bids his time and waits for Levy to poke his head out to find out why he isn't coming through. Then Mark tackles him.

** There's also a scene where Mark is in another AlternateUniverse where he's talking to someone off-screen, the hero's bat-based superhero identity, cape, and the music all but implying that he met {{ComicBook/Batman}}. And not a CaptainErsatz or a {{Expy}} either, but the ''actual'' hero himself. And Mark gets away with calling his hero name "lazy".

** Not only that, but going off of Cecil's wording, his decisions to get his memory wiped of these events weren't motivated entirely out of horror at what had happened to him or what he had become, but out of a belief that being saddled with the knowledge of how his heroism tends to end for him will keep him from being as capable at it in the future. Effectively, when he gets squished by a giant Kaiju, his biggest concern is that fear of getting squished by a giant Kaiju again will keep him from continuing to be able to do absolutely everything in his power to help people.
